One of the reasons that I chose Polly's Petals was that it WAS NOT connected with FTD. My experience with FTD has typically been disappointing...the flowers delivered never look like the picture. I would highly recommend this florist. I wanted to support a small business, and I couldn't have been happier with the plant/flowers that Polly created for me. In placing my order with Polly, the owner, she questioned what I was looking for and my budget, and then came up with suggestions and told me about the individual plants she thought would work well. Polly was great to work with. During our initial consultation, I showed her pictures i found on pinterest and what I wanted for my wedding. Since my bridesmaids dresses were tiffany blue, i wanted the flowers to be light pink and white. Polly did a great job with my bouquet, groom/ groomsmen's boutineers, corsages etc.. I received so many compliments on how fresh and pretty the flower arrangements looked. Polly was also very easy to work and communicate with. She replies back to messages fairly quickly. I only had to meet up with her for the initial consultation, the rest was communicating via email. I honestly have nothing bad to say about my experience with Polly and our venue looked great with all the flower arrangements. I would highly recommend her to any bride! read more

Polly and her team were the florists for our August 2021 wedding in Libertyville. She came highly recommended from the event coordinator at our venue, and she did not disappoint! I am not a huge flower person and did not know exactly what I was looking for, I just knew what colors I wanted. I gave her a few inspiration photos, and she was able to run with it and create something beautiful that was within my budget! I loved that she didn't push me to over-order or go bigger than I wanted. We also rented a wooden archway from her, and candles for our centerpieces. Polly was the one vendor that I knew I could trust wholeheartedly and with little follow-up from me, which is what a vendor for a large wedding should be doing! I can't even hold flowers without getting hives so I had to request silk flowers for EVERYTHING. Polly was more than willing to work with my sensitive situation. Initially, we had a meeting about my vision, budget and color scheme. Polly was great with asking questions, looking at pinterest images and really understanding my vision. Several days after the meeting, Polly created a plan and sent back a proposal with the budget. Everything sounded great, but the budget was higher than what I was able to afford. Polly is so fabulous!!! I had no idea where to start when it came to florists, let alone flowers! My mom's name is Polly which made it a little easier for me to make a decision! I was shocked to find out though that you have to do a little bit of research on types of flowers before making an appt. I had 4 appts, and i learned a little more at each one about the types of purple and blue flowers. FYI - lisyanthis is the most gorgeous purple flower!!! I told Polly what I had in mind and when i met with her at her house she had saved some flowers from a wedding she had just done to show me! It was great to see an example, it made me SO excited! I highly recommend Polly. She is a delight to work with - delightful in emails, and quickly gets back to you. On the day of, i didnt see her that much. She had an assitant with her and i was out getting pictures, but when i came into the ceremony room it was spot on!! She kept it so clean and classy for me.
