Lounging on the veranda of this beautifully situated old country home / kitchen you close your eyes and imagine the old days where travelers would pass by, pitch their tents on the large lawn and have their horses recover along the small creek.
Fast forward to 2014 and this space is used for receptions and parties, and the one animal in sight is an overweight (diabetes too maybe) kookaburra.
From the road this seems a good place to stop for some refreshments, and it may well be for afternoon tea & scones. The coffee, however, was disappointing and the chicken pie wasn't good and overpriced at $16. Hey but the view was excellent, and the service friendly. read more
