First time rang up order wrong . Had to tell order three times. Haven't had in years and it is not as good as before. Used to have yellow rice, now it is white. Different flavor. Chicken was bland, no flavor and small portion. Onions and peppers were soggy and wet. Had to ask for plastic utensils several time and finally had to point to them for the person to understand. read more

I stopped by Pollo Tropical for lunch hoping for a little nostalgia -- a taste of those generous, flavorful chicken portions they used to serve back during the pandemic days. Unfortunately, this visit was more "meh" than "muy bien." The tables were clean-ish, but not quite wiped down. I ordered the chicken quesadilla wrap combo with plantains and a Diet Coke. The wrap was smaller than I remembered, with chicken that was partly chewy and partly crunchy. My fiancée's chicken Caesar salad was mainly salad without a lot of chicken or Caesar dressing. On the bright side, the plantains were delicious -- warm, sweet, and the undeniable star of the meal. Unfortunately, the Diet Coke was flatter than a Florida highway. All told, $23 for two meals that didn't quite live up to their former glory. Not terrible, just unimpressive. If you're nearby and want something quick and basic, it'll do. But I wouldn't drive out of my way for it. read more

Pollo Tropical - 1/2 Fire Grilled Chicken - all dark meat and 2 sides of vegetable rice - Fast Food Near Me - Boynton Beach, Florida

I was in the mood for a salad and considered Pollo while browsing as they had a chicken option on the menu with guacamole that looked amazing. Unfortunately it was grilled and not crispy as requested when I opened the container, but did not disappoint whatsoever. I loved how the condiments were separated since I was a bit beaned out but didn't mind the fiesta beans with corn on the salad. I was also skeptical of the chipotle dressing and got cilantro just in case but honey I tasted the chipotle and just had to add that razzle dazzle to the salad. Overall I felt full without the guilt as it was a big salad and they did not skimp on the protein. read more

I ordered a Pollo Tropichop today and was extremely disappointed. When I got home and opened my meal, there was no chicken at all--just the base ingredients. For a place called Pollo Tropical, you would expect the chicken to be the main part of the dish. Very frustrating experience and a waste of money. Definitely not what I paid for. read more

I ordered through the drive-thru, which turned out to be a huge mistake. The staff clearly didn't care or listen--they rushed me the entire time and didn't even get my order right. Instead of giving me extra lettuce like I asked, they handed me a soggy, slushy side salad. On top of that, it looked like they basically drenched the lettuce in dressing instead of properly tossing it. I paid extra for additional chicken, and while I can't complain about the amount, what happened to chopping it? It's supposed to come chopped, not in big, whole pieces. I ordered two salads, and both were equally disappointing. Honestly, this experience was frustrating from start to finish. read more

Check your food before you leave. I come here often and they will give you the wrong size plate. Yesterday I ordered two large tropichops and a large fry. I saw the fries and asked at the window "is this a large?" maybe 8 fries ... and was immediately told "yes". I pulled away and looked at the rest of the order and was given two small sized tropichops. I went in to ask again and confirmed with the front counter I was given a small size in everything instead of the larger that I paid for. Also the containers are often sealed improperly. I have come home with rice and beans all over the inside of the bag. Waste of money. I also ordered their new quesadilla advertised. It was horrible. It's a soggy tortilla with cheesy sauce and could barely see any meat. It looked like a slice of dough. read more

My wife and I went there to eat last week and are going again tonight. I do t understand the bad reviews as our meals were excellent. We both ordered Chicken TropiChops and it was very tasty and had a lot of chicken. this meal was about as healthy a meal as you can order. It was full of brown rice and vegetables. The wait staff was very pleasant. We've been eating there for years and will continue to do so. read more

If you try to order food at the drive through... the line will be a mile long and it will surely take an hour. And you will be lucky if you get to the front of the line and they didn't run out of what you ordered. If you go inside to order.... Same thing... you will be standing with a dozen people waiting to order or waiting for the food. Last attempt... tried ordering through grub hub. The wait said 45-60 min and then they wound up being out of what I ordered. I'm done with pollo tropical. Saved myself $23 today. read more

Do you purposely hire the worst employees in the world I mean, the rudest non-customer service people you can find on purpose??? I've been coming here for 18 years in the last six years this place has gone to hell. I went today and the guy who helped me didn't say one word not one word I pulled up. He was busy sweeping him over to the window I said you take Apple Pay. He hangs the device out the window, then hand me my food. I asked for some sauce. He looks at me like I'm inconvenience him. Lord forbid. He has to do his job hand me too, and that was it. Honest to God blows my mind how this place even stays open. read more

folks cant read a damn ticket to save their lives. what am i paying extra for double meat on delivery if i dont get it???

I'm a glutton for punishment when it comes to this location. 20 minute wait to order and a 30 minute wait to receive my food. A whole 50 minutes to get...drum roll...chicken soup. Imagine having a 30 minute lunch break and you have to wait almost an hour for your food, you'd get reprimanded from your job for being late. If I wanted to spend an hour at a restaurant, I'd go to a proper sit down restaurant. They need to have more of a sense of urgency or even out the assembly line because the drive through line was whizzing by while the line inside was just stagnant. If you must come here, I strongly suggest ordering ahead or going to the drive through. read more

Ugh I know I can't expect a lot from Pollo...but seriously the service gets worse and worse. To start the drive in line is super crazy All. The. Time! I hate going inside because I'm scared one day I'll end up going viral on the internet and be known as the Yelper who went crazy at a pollo employee. Ordered a soup, chicken meal and yuca bites. Get home and guess what? No yuca fries! Fabulous!!! As tempted as I was to go back over there I decided it wasn't worth the headache. The soup which is normally good was super watered down, normally it's a little thicker and with more flavor. My side of rice was dry or not cooked fully there were a few hard bits. The chicken meal for the hubs was ehhhh. I can't say I won't go there again because it's right across my house ...meh. I don't recommend this place unless you want a quick bite. Giving it 2 stars because the drive thru lady was nice and the soup in the past has saved my life during flu season. read more

This place has gone downhill. Ordered my food with a nice young lady, not sure what her name was, but the receipt says Rommell. Walked over to get a table..all the tables were dirty. I took the cleaner that was sitting on the trash can and wiped my own table off. Got my food from a not so pleasant woman chomping on gum with no name. The chicken was dry and cold, I had to go back up and try to get another piece. I was told no 15-minute wait! Essentially, I did get a fresh quarter dark piece after I ate all the rice and beans. The workers were not friendly and had no interest in trying to be friendly and or show any customer service! read more

Horrible service. Drive through cashier by the name of Leedjna doesn't even greet the customers when the car pulls up. She just sticks her hand out for payment, no greeting no confirmation of what you purchased or how much your purchase tallied. Still says nothing, runs the card & handed it back to us; when the food was ready, I basically had to reach through the window to get it. Still she said nothing, no thank you for choosing us or have a good day; Just stared at me like I was bothering her. What's even worse is, I can't even complain to the company. The receipt gives you a guest service # to call 855-867-6556 which tells you to go online at pollolistens.com That routes you to frgi.co1.qualtrics.com I started the survey by putting in the receipt # and hit next, which took me to the next page that said "please use the following code to redeem the offer for taking our survey" with a number at the end... I hit next and the survey was done???? What It wasn't a survey at all.... Cleary Pollo does not listen or wants to listen to how bad their service is. read more

HORRIBLE! Always issues. Gone there several times because they're convenient and they're close to home. During this pandemic went and they were out of chicken. So being understanding, we opted to order something else. So we substituted to steak and they gave three pieces a steak and when we questioned the issue of the small quantity they said "too bad" nothing we can do about it. Also out of sides. One side of plantains and the three other sides out of, but still charged. I will never go back to this location they have always been rude and when we ordered deliveries and ask added extra sauce as we never got them either... read more

A few visits ago the guy taking my order with the big metal iPad thing hit my car with it as he was walking up to the car leaving an inch scratch on my mirror. The guy didn't even apologize and acted like it never happened. Then I go again yesterday and order a combo and the guy is yelling at me asking what side I want when I had already said the side 2x. He then proceeded to not even look at me or respond to anything I said as I pulled up to the window. I'm very kind to service workers because I've been there so I'm not sure what his issue was. Ironically enough there's a sign inside the restaurant reminding staff to smile and thank the customer. This guy has negative customer service. It's sad because the food is good here but the service is borderline disrespectful. Pollo tropical corporate - you either don't care or you look the other way. The food was tasty, but the staff was miserable. Not one smile out of the staff or the manager. There were several beers and other alcoholic beverages listed on the board, but we were told "we don't have any of those", in a rude manner, with no explanation. This is basically fast food, and it's apparent nobody likes their job or values their customers in the least. Although the Cuban sandwich was tasty, we will not be back. read more

Tomorrow will be EXACTLY one month since I placed an online order ($52.64) for pick-up and when I arrived to get my order I was told that they were out of chicken and I would receive a refund. When I did not see the credit reflected on my charge account I called to no avail and left messages which NO ONE - NOT EVEN THEIR SO CALLED CORPORATE OFFICE HAS RESPONDED TO MY VOICE MESSAGES NOR WRITTEN REQUEST. So, the last few months..the line for this place is always backed up. Usually my order comes up right. But this time, after waiting in the 27 minute line. Then 6 minutes at the window. Watching the girl play on her phone and then refilling the cups. My order came up wrong/horrible. The ham had to be taken off the sandwich I asked for no ham on. So it had a nice ham flavor to it. Then the tropichop was awful. No flavor whatsoever. The brown rice was over cooked and watery. Won't be coming back anymore. I'll go to the one closer to my job. read more

Updated Review: I left a horrible review last time I was on here and since then I have decided to go back. I didn't have any issues this time around. Maybe I'll start coming back here again. Drive-thru was fast and efficient. I did feel like our server could have been a bit nicer or even less rushing, but she got the job done. My order came out right, although we did watch them just stand around talking. That's what you get when you have teens working your registers, I guess. My food was good and came out correct, so overall, I would recommend this location. Honestly, it was one of the only locations I'd come back to. Pollo Tropicals have gone very downhill. read more

This Pollo Tropical location is my preferred location. The staff are typically really nice and efficient at getting you your order in a timely manner and more importantly just how you ordered it (this seems to be a problem for some other establishments). Pollo Tropical like some other Yelpers have noted: is a healthier alternative and offers an inexpensive, and quick taste of Caribbean cuisine. The portion sizes are pretty decent for one person and are almost always consistent in taste. My last experience there I ordered the Chicken and Rib combo with rice and beans and received a complimentary 1/4 chicken meal for completing their on-line survey! ***Tip:Take the 10 mins to fill out the survey, the 1/4 chicken meal is both delicious, filling and FREE if you complete the survey and redeem at your next visit***** They also offer a variety of sauces (guava BBQ is delightful) and onions as one of their featured toppings also available at no additional charge. I used the drive-thru but if you choose to dine in, you have more immediate access to the varied toppings and sauces as well as the enjoyment of the Caribbean atmosphere that the decor embraces. Oh and I believe they close @ midnight... read more
