Order from this place for years!!! Today I order ten chicken pastelitos and they bring me beef. So I called them back to let them know that they placed the order wrong order. The same girl answers the phone by stating that "oh yes you ordered beef" and I replied by letting her know that "no I don't eat beef" so then she replied by saying "we could send you 10 more chicken but we will have to charge you for them". I replied by telling them "why should I have to pay for your mistake?" She never owned up to her mistake and kept hanging up on me. So now I learned not to order from them again. When visiting Lawrence this is the First place I want to go an eat traditional Dominican food. The beans are cook right, their best cooked items are the fried meat,chicken, pork chops and fried Batatas. This restaurant is always full of people in the night time especially in the weekends, it has been expanded with nice seats in one area and the Bar in another area. So what kind of place is this? I was cruising around Lawrence while my gf was working in the area, and in my starving induced delirium I stumbled across this place. I tried to get them to make a combo plate for me, but my inability to speak their language resulted in only a roast pork plate (chicaron?) and the rice with beans. regardless, the food I did get was very good. I did wish I could have tried the chicken as the aroma alone could have satisfied my hunger. I think beef and some other items are available for order. Price matched the hole in the wall atmosphere. This is not a well-known place and the atmosphere is, well, there is no atmosphere, but oooohhh, those Cuban sandwiches.......the pork they use is a little like brisket in some ways, and it is incredibly flavorful. The rest of the menu is pretty decent as well, with Cuban and Puerto Rican specialties such as yucca, plantain, and oxtail. read more

I have been going to this place for years its as good as it gets when it comes to rotisserie chicken. Hands down the best rotisserie chicken I have ever had anywhere. My go to order is rotisserie chicken with white rice and habichuela you really can't go wrong with these things. I would highly recommend trying this place out. I visit this place twice sense ive been here (7 months). I traveled here after working over night in Westborough so, its a good trip. During Both visits, I purchased great quality food for a low price. That of course is subjective to what you are ordering. I just love to order La empanadas and Fritos basically for breakfast because, they are my most favorite Caribbean Dominican foods my Grandmother use to make for lunch. In fact its as perfect as my grandmothers'. Based on my last visit; the Cashier had a great sense of humor, the place was neat and, everyone was friendly. Out for a Sunday drive with the family and found this great place. Free on street parking on Sunday was a bonus. The food is assembled fresh in front of you. The surprise had to be the tenderness and fluffy texture of the rice. Just perfectly executed and very memorable. Overall a great experience and one that will be repeated in the future. read more

Service was confusing to me, wasn't sure if I should be waited on or order and take it to a table (during dinner, there is in fact a waitress), but it's just something to get used to. I had the oxtail and beans with rice and they were fantastic. The price was on target with what an american restaurant would charge, sometimes less. Huge portions. My friend had me try her chicken and it was amazing. It's the kind of place that makes you want to pick out the oddest thing on the menu, but I went bonkers for the rotisserie chicken. read more

Get pass the laud music and yelling and you'll be in for real treat! The food is exquisite and abundant. Servers are polite and responsive despite the seemingly chaotic ambiance. This is probably a better place for take out than to sit in. read more

Introduced to Pollo Tipico last night by a friend. All I can say is WOW. We had a picadera, with pulled pork, sausage, chicharones rotisserie chicken, tostones and fried batata.. I visit the DR every year and I am going to retire there and this food is just like there. All I needed was some palm trees and heat. Yeah, the atmosphere is not the greatest, but I went there to eat and was very happy. We split 2 big bottles of Presidente beer. A little colder would have been better. read more

The food is really, really good. I've only sat on the side with the bar where the food is made to order, rather than cafeteria style. The staff isn't the friendliest, perhaps because I only speak a little Spanish. The coconut shrimp is bangin' and the yucca is so deliciouso. read more

This is the best Spanish food in Lawrence. The prices are great and the food is great too. If you can get past how crowded it can get and the fact that parking is a nightmare I would definitely suggest it. I can feed a family of 4 for about $40.00 and have plenty of left overs. read more
