Your drinks come out and they take your food order. Shortly after your food comes out to enjoy. We have tasted from both the breakfast and lunch menus, and both are tasty. When you are done, you go to the gentleman at the cashier and he adds up your tab. He is very observant and knows what table you were at. We will continue to go and enjoy a meal at this cafe.

She is familiar with the McAllen location and likes it so we decided to give this place a shot. Only a little parking up front, but it looked like there was more around the back and side. The place was not packed so we were allowed to choose our seats. The dining area is not that large so I can see it getting packed during busy times. We both loved the big mural on one wall. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. They apparently will join tables for large groups and will also reserve such arrangements. I ordered a very tasty michelada that was supposed to be extra spicy, but to me it was just regular spicy. Still delicious though! Salsa for chips were both good. Red was tasty, but not spicy. The green was delicious and very spicy. I ordered the carne guisada plate with flour tortillas. The portions were huge and delicious. Very tender and delicious meat. Great rice and slightly salty but flavorful beans. My tortillas were so fluffy and took me back to my mom's better cooking days. My girlfriend ordered the beef chalupas and although they came without beef, she enjoyed them very much. The no beef error was not mentioned to the waitress so no idea how a fix would have gone. Prices are very good the food portions. The quality of the food was fresh and delicious. Overall a great little Mexican restaurant to try if in the area or if you don't want to travel to the McAllen location.

So was in town and haven't had a botana in over a year since I live in Dallas. Yelped "Good Botanas…read morenear me" and Zamoras popped up looked it up and the food looks good so decide why not. Ordered ahead and went and paid mind you for a botana for 2 it was 40ish dollars. Kinda pricey but everything has gone up and once a year for a good botana ill do it. When the employee brought my food I was damn thats a lot of food got took it home. Well let me tell you it looked better than it was. Ill start off with tortillas were on point really good, beans for good also. But thats where it ends opened up box with the botana and meat looked good but as soon as I tried to chew it it was dry AF! Ordered a mixed botana with beef and chicken and I had to drink water just to swallow very disappointing. But on principle cause I paid 40buks I continue to eat it cause what was I gonna do throw away 40 buks. I noticed that it seemed like the Styrofoam carton was raised under the food didn't pay any mind to it until I got to the bottom and noticed that they laid the food on bare Styrofoam mind you HOT food. What in the absolute fuk for a restaurant to be in business for this long and do some dumb shit like that is mind boggling. Anyway I noticed I was scraping Styrofoam with cheese and looked under the box and saw that the cheese and beans had melted the box underneath! You have got to be kidding me what moron decided it would be a good idea to put Hot food on bare Styrofoam at least line it with some foil like every other restaurant does so your customers aren't eating pieces of Styrofoam melted into cheese. DO BETTER....
