The owner and chef Greg is super nice and welcoming and is just one of the reasons I would come back. I loved the small environment of Amilinda and the service and staff was fantastic. The sandwiches were crazy good and the chips were the cherry on top. Typically I hate restaurant chips but these are so finely sliced that they give a perfect crisp. I had the Prego and it was fantastic. I also tried I bit of the Francesinha and the tomato sauce was fantastic. I can't wait to come back to try their normal dinner menu.

On a cold Saturday night where the street looked extremely empty, inside Amilinda it was full of patrons and the air full of wonderful aromas from the open kitchen which was just by the entrance. Lucky I was just by myself and was able to be seated by the end of the long bar. The menu leans towards carnivore. The leg of lamb was cooked tender and juicy that you want to use the sour dough bread to soak up the juice. The cuttlefish appetizer used the Asian leaning crunchy chilli oil, added an interesting twist. If you stay around this area for whatever reason, I recommend giving Amilinda a try.

We got the truffle Potato Skins it was more like chips but softer than chips with a truffle oil and parm. This didn't have a super truffle flavor in my opinion but still good. The ceviche which was my favorite had ahi tuna, coconut milk, red bell peppers, and diced pineapple I love the sweet aspect of this. We also got the empanadas and mushroom tostadas both were great. The Gnocchi d'Autunno we got was like a nice hug it was such a warm dish in the way you want a warm comfort meal on a cold day. The butter chicken and Argentina style beef we also tried I liked the butter chicken more just because I wish the beef had more chimichurri. I definitely will take friends in the future. There is a dish for everyone here.

The variety of meats we tried throughout our meal including goat, rabbit, beef, pork belly and chicken were prepared with exceptional finesse and balance when combined with their respective starch. The service was quick and the staff were attentive when pouring wine, refilling water and clearing plates. The ambiance is very cozy and comfortable with whimsical hanging decor and wooden tables. A must visit tapas style restaurant when you're in downtown Milwaukee!

It was one of the most special dining experiences we've ever had in Milwaukee. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we entered the home of an Argentinian chef. In fact, you pretty much having Chef Ana as your own personal chef, with her husband Peter also providing some exceptional hospitality. She came up to our table multiple times during the evening to chat with us and ask us how our meal was. It's pretty amazing that she is the sole chef in the restaurant and is able to prepare all the meals while also checking in with patrons regularly. The food was really good. They have two prefix options, and we went with the paella, with an appetizer, dessert and bottle of rosé. Each course felt thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented, and bursting with authentic flavor. The warm staff and intimacy is something unique and different than anything else we've experienced. It's rare to find a place where you can experience both world-class cuisine and the personal touch of the people behind it. FYI, there is a price to be paid for such wonderful food and service. But for a special occasion, it's well worth the money spent and would be right up near the top of my list. Cavas is truly a hidden gem -- If you're looking for a unique dining experience, I recommend you check it out!

Chef Ana is incredibly talented and created a unique and delicious menu. We were speechless after the Amuse Bouche, and continued to love every course thereafter. Secondly, the service was second to none. Both Peter and Ana continuously checked in on us and made us feel like family, not just customers. They provided curated wine pairings based on our preference and were incredibly accommodating to dietary restrictions. Our experience at Cavas transported us to Spain and we loved every second (and morsel). Already looking forward to our next opportunity to return!
