It did that because (as she said) the kitchen ran out of buns, so they used French bread instead, so "it'll be okay". It was not okay. There was a big slice of processed cheese gluing a few things together (scraped that off as best I could), and there was no tartar sauce or anything else on the facsimile of a sandwich. I flagged the waitress down to please bring something, and she did, though it took a while for the tartar sauce to arrive, and she apologized for taking too long because "she had to dig it out" (your guess is as good as mine). I was able to choke down the small portion of fish with the help of the tartar sauce, and left the bread, cheese, and sad lettuce to exit with the plate. The pickle spear, though, was not so bad.
