The seagulls are obviously aware of where the food is but other than risking being crapped on the balcony was a good choice we felt. They did, however, let me in to pee! There is normally a charge just to get past the front desk, but the nice man obviously saw the look of desperation in my eyes!! Plenty of pictures showing how lifeboats have changed over time from open boats to the modern boats that we all know. It is free to enter but donations are gratefully accepted. If you are interested in the sea and boats then it is well worth a visit.

There are some interesting displays, you can get a close look at the boat and the uniforms and equipment, pick up some sea safety magazines and it's all free - although you might like to leave a well-deserved donation on the way out.

As a child whenever we took trips to Hastings this would always become a pit stop, for rocks or little silly gifts and postcards. It's opposite the sea front and a little further out from town but it's a sweet shop run by a really pleasant family. Next time I'm in Hastings I will have a little look around just to remind myself of my younger days.
