Stumbled across the CUTEST coffee shop in Bryan, TX. Was initially drawn to it because of the name and their motto-great coffee with real friendly people. I couldn't just pick one so I got "Breakfast & Bed-expresso and fruity pebbles infused milk" and "Monkey Business-basically a banana split cold brew" SO freaking good! Definitely going to have to make the trip over here again soon. read more

I have been here a couple times and I think it's the perfect place to chat with some friends over coffee or any of the pastries they offer. There are multiple rooms you can sit it or you can choose to sit outside on their patio or in the yard. The place is pretty packed most of the time and can be hard to find a seat, but so far I have been lucky and gotten there right when someone leaves. Besides the seating, the Kyle House is a perfect place for Polite Coffee to be and the ambiance is amazing. There's just enough chatter to where it's not so loud you can't study in peace. Study on! There is free wifi and the password is posted on the wall where you purchase your drinks. Although there is free wifi, the wifi is incredibly slow and can sometimes kick you out. So if you're thinking of studying without a hotspot, maybe consider another cafe to study at unless you don't mind slow wifi. Now to the main part, the coffee. The coffee is really good! you can add any flavor syrup for 50 cents I believe and can add their 3 sauce choices as well. I like getting a plain and simple vanilla latte with white mocha sauce. I truly enjoy the coffee every time I go and sometimes pair my coffee with their awesome selection of sweets. Not to mention, the baristas are incredible nice and display amazing hospitality. They will ask how your day is and will easily make a conversation with you. Overall, the beauty of the Kyle House and the tasty coffee compliment each other and truly make Polite Coffee Co an amazing place to either relax and chat with a friend are makes a great place to study if you don't mine slow wifi. Love this place! Every drink I've had has been great. I love all the unique syrup options (lavender! Sage!). Idk if they make their own pastries but the PB&J scone was delicious (& maybe the softest scone ever??). Really cute vibes as it's in an old house. Indoor and outdoor seating (there's even a table in an old gazebo ). Beautiful neighborhood with huge trees and sounds of the train. It can be a little confusing to find your way to the counter since it's in an old house (WAY before open-concept was a thing) but there are signs to follow. Also: buy a bag of coffee beans to take home. They're DELICIOUS. read more

This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in the BCS area! The vibes here are unmatched as it's this cute little house turned coffeeshop making it feel so homey with lots of different rooms to pick from to sit in!! Contributing to this homey vibe, they also play the best music out of any coffeeshop I've ever been to & I have even asked for/looked up their playlist. There's also a good amount of tables with outlets nearby making it perfect for studying or also to just catch up with an old friend!! The coffee selection here is also amazing although I usually stick to a simple iced vanilla latte because theirs is one of my favorites!! The baristas who work at the counter are also some of the nicest people ever & are always asking about my day & making rounds to check in that everything is okay!! We order a 2-lb bag of whole beans from here about once every 3 weeks. Currently we are enjoying beans from Rwanda (so good). We've been testing out other single origin coffees and we like several (Peru, Guatemala, Bolivia, etc). The last bag I ordered was on a Thursday morning and it arrived in Georgetown, TX on Saturday afternoon (and shipping was only $5.74). Our son introduced us to French Press, Aero-Press, and Pour Overs around Dec 2021. We tried many beans from various roasters, but finally settled in with Polite Coffee around April 2022. It's been a whole new world of coffee enjoyment. It's like we never knew how good home-brewed coffee could be. And, they always include a hand-written card with every order! read more

After noticing this brand of coffee in the local Brookshire Bros, I ventured out to Bryan to check this place out. What a wonderful idea for a coffee joint! I love the atmosphere and the set up. Very pleasant and friendly staff; not to mention the coffee and the food were both superb. I was recommended the Pecan latte (as it will be leaving the menu soon) and the coffee cake muffin. I got the Breakfast in bed with added sugar and I love it! Usually get the Kyle house, super good too (iced!) only gave it a 3 stars because the seats and tables just give a feeling of no comfort. I want to feel comfortable and relaxed to do some homework and enjoy my coffee but they don't really have any comfortable seats or couches anywhere but the porch. Only matching chair and table sets that don't fit the building in my opinion. Only complaint. PLEASE BUY A COMFY COUCH OR CHAIR SET :( but employees and coffee are amazing! read more

Ordered a Kyle House iced drink which has honey, and added 2 pastries. The lady that served my 2 pastries put them at the pick up station and let me know they were there. I left them on the side as I was waiting for the coffee drink. The same lady knowingly gave the pastries I ordered to someone else as I was watching. A few moments later, The barista handed me the drink I ordered and asked me if there was something else and I let him know that there were 2 pastries. Additionally, the drink had no honey in it because they ran out and the barista did not even mention it. At that moment the lady stepped in saying that she was sorry that she dropped the pastries in by mistake - which is not the truth as she gave them to someone else - and that they ran out of those pastries. She asked me if I wanted other pastries and I did not. I did not complain although I am logically expecting a refund. Both the barista and the lady refused to provide the refund giving me 2 free drink cards instead of the refund without even asking me if this was ok - they just handed them and went back to their business. This is very poor and rude service for which I am very sorry to even write a review like this for such a beautiful place I come to regularly; however, this is the second Saturday in a row I get a similar rude and poor service from the same gentleman barista and lady.
