I've also encountered some (lack of) insurance problems, and Dr. B has worked with me on those to try to lessen the stress. Worth the drive to the south hills, for sure! Also, the office itself is relaxing. Some of the ceiling tiles in the rooms are clouds, just for an added touch :) And there is a photo book in the lobby of a medical mission/service trip Bellios took. He's just an actual decent human being, which is comforting when you're sitting in that dreaded chair!

The whole staff was incredibly kind and they are all very upbeat. Dr Bellios was so nice in explaining everything to me when he made my treatment plan. There wasn't a single question or concern that I brought up that he didn't make me feel at ease about. The girl at the front desk (Rena?) is super awesome about finding an appointment time that works with your schedule and working with you for a payment plan if you need it. She puts you at ease the minute you walking in the door and that makes her spectacular. I ended up needing a root canal, crown and some fillings. The root canal wasn't what I thought it would be like. I was so scared that it would hurt but Dr Bellios was very patient and made sure it didn't hurt at all. Every step of the way he was very kind and patient, even when some things just wouldn't get numb! I've Now completed my treatment plan and I couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a new dentist I highly recommend coming here. The whole staff is great and if you're afraid of the dentist, like I was, they'll fix that :)

Great dentist, great bedside manner, great practice overall…read more I originally went to Dr. Petti because I bought a Living Social Deal about 2 years ago for a teeth cleaning and x-rays since I didn't have dental insurance at the the time. This practice has been my regular dentist ever since. Dr. Petti himself is so friendly, so nice. Same with the office staff. Apparently the dentist I had been going to before Dr. Petti wasn't so great and I needed to have a deep cleaning procedure done on my teeth. I have never in my life been so thoroughly examined at a dentist's office. I'm bummed that the previous dental hygienist Rose left the practice because she was awesome and so incredibly knowledgeable but the new girl seems really good too.

You simply can't beat a deal like that especially if you do not have dental insurance and must pay for costs out of pocket. I waited about 10 minutes to see the dentist, not bad. He was extremely kind and friendly. He asked me a few questions about my past dental history and then took x-rays. After the x-rays he cleaned my teeth and polished them. He was very kind and informative, continually complimenting me on my dental hygiene routine and educating me about how to avoid tartar buildup. I left with a bag full of free samples and a big (freshly polished!) smile on my face! I definitely recommend this dentist!

And now I have to get a second opinion because I've heard so many stories about how inaccurate her assessments are. The badly trained hygienist shoved the whole metal x ray holder in my mouth (the metal ring should be outside) for maybe a dozen x rays. I started screaming in pain and was even in tears. When the doctor came out she expressed no concern for my pain, just blaming my experience on my large tongue. It had never once been brought up before and it was a really crappy way to get around validating my pain. Later that day as I started having symptoms of a respiratory infection, I lost it. In addition to that agony and degradation, now I had to put everything on hold for nearly a week because of whatever nastiness was on that metal thing shoved to the back of my throat again and again, all while the "medical professional" blamed me for my large tongue. And I missed out on paid work I really needed. Dr Monahan hasn't responded to my other review or two emails.
