At an apartment with two females, you might assume that we are clean and orderly and leave Post-It…read morenotes on the fridge noting that "we're out of arugula!!!! XOXOXOX" but honestly, we are goddamn DIRTY. We are both long haired brunettes, we own two long-haired cats, we drink a lot of beer and wine, and I eat like a person with a hole in their chin. On an off day, our apartment looks like the "GLUTTONY" murder scene from the movie Seven (just kidding, potential husbands). So when we had to move out of our place, we figured we might want to make it look less like a disaster zone and more like a habitable living space. After a couple failed attempts using deal-of-the-day type cleaning services where the poor over-worked cleaners did their best but their frail, ammonia-eaten arms couldn't work through our mess, we called the Green Clean Company on the recommendation of a friend, and THANK GOD, because we got to easily move out of a home that doesn't belong on "Hoarders: The Early Years." Perfect windows, clean floors, no more cat hair, and spills cleaned. Our kitchen looked better than it has since like, 2008. Plus they use a air filter which is awesome because now there is actual air and not cath-air. Thanks to Marlina and the rest of the very efficient staff for tricking people into thinking we are not disgusting. Future renters of this apartment, you have no idea. HA.

I hired Green Maids earlier this year. They came once, and did a great job! The floors and…read morewindows were especially well cleaned and noteworthy. Both shined like they were brand new. There were a couple minor oversights, like the laundry room was basically skipped, and big corner of the kitchen floor, but overall it was a good and thorough cleaning for a reasonable price. They bring an air filter to clean any dust that is stirred up as the clean. Initially they were very prompt and communicative; they returned calls right away, showed up on time for the quote and the cleaning. However, after the initial cleaning the Green Maids became kind of flaky. I couldn't settle on a next appointment date, and they didn't always call back. They even left their air filter behind on accident, and I couldn't get them to pick it up. Finally I just gave up. Overall, I'd give them 4 or 5 stars for the actual cleaning services, but have to give them 1 or 2 in administration for never calling back. Customer service would be right in the middle because initially they were great, but in the end they were flaky.

It seems that Chely's House Cleaning and Gallardo's Carpet Cleaning and Janitorial Service are the same business, run by Chely and her husband. The call happened on a Friday, and I scheduled an appointment for an estimate on Sunday and showed her what I wanted cleaned and she gave me a quote. We then scheduled the time for the cleaning on the Thursday of the same week. I scheduled it for 1:30 pm and Chely was there at 1:15 pm ready to start. Very prompt and extremely easy to work with. I had some objects I didn't want cleaned and Chely was perfect about my request. The service was excellent and I felt that I was able to trust her and her husband. I was not present during the bulk of the cleaning and when I returned, the rooms were spotlessly clean.

Not only did she do a good job, I felt like I was losing a trusted member of the family. So I dreaded trying to find her replacement. I wanted to simplify my life and start using a professional house cleaning service, (my housekeeper was an employee on payroll and sometimes called in sick). I was very fortunate to find Fresh-N-Home on the internet. Fresh-N-Home is a fully insured company with wonderful employees who are trained, thorough and trustworthy. I like that they consistently send out the same gals, and if a substitute is needed I am assured I will get a seasoned replacement. Voila- just like magic- I am so happy with Fresh-N-Home! No more hassle. Michelle and Aimee cheerfully clean my home every week and they do a FANTASTIC JOB!! I love that we are a team now. I teach them my preferences and they teach me tips and tricks for efficient cleaning. Best of all, I like that they are not afraid to ask me questions, offer suggestions, or point out areas that need cleaning that had been overlooked before. I've used Fresh-N-Home for two months and I already feel so comfortable having them in my home. While I certainly miss my housekeeper of many years, I look forward to a long-term relationship with Fresh-N-Home and I especially like working with Michelle and Aimee. I get a sparkling clean home in 1 day with my new team, as opposed to 2 days a week for all those years. Sue.C. San Diego, CA.

We are a military family and we just moved to San Diego from Hawaii. We signed a lease on a unit…read morethat we did not see in person since we had to quickly lock in a place to live in the short time frame the military gave us to move. We moved in and found that the unit was not thoroughly cleaned from when the previous renters lived there so we did some research and decided to hire Fresh-n-Home. I had high hopes for this company because the other reviews were outstanding, but unfortunately I was disappointed. The unit was empty when we hired them to come in and clean so I didn't think they'd have any issues finding the areas that needed to be deep-cleaned. There was candle wax splattered on the walls and floors; caked on grease on the cabinets; food splattered on the wall above the stove; a brown ring in the toilet; mold on the dishwasher; among other things. To their credit, they were able to remove the mold from the dishwasher and the brown ring in the toilet, but everything else appeared to be untouched. In fact, they even broke one of the handles on our toilet and left the pieces on the bathroom counter. I found it rude that they didn't mention the damage once they had left, so I emailed Kelly and she was courteous and offered to send the girls back to clean and fix what was missed. Keep in mind, the first time they came they spent about 4.5 hours "cleaning" the house. A couple days later they came back and fixed the toilet handle and wiped the food splatter off the wall. There was still wax on the wall and she asked me if I would like her to remove it, I said yes. She told me the first time they were there they weren't able to get the grease off the cabinets because we didn't have any hot water since the water heater wasn't turned on. By the end of it, we still had grease on our cabinets and our floors were dirty (even though I saw her mop). They just didn't seem as thorough as advertised. And we were charged $292.50...
