This year, 2025, we called them to report it was not working sufficiently: temp is set at 23, but the house registers 24.5 degrees! They want to charge $150 just to come out and inspect the problem. The original unit lasted approximately 20 years without an issue. This new Carrier unit installed by Convertible is just over 4 years old and it's unable to maintain a comfortable temperature of 23. Recent heat waves are a good test of the quality of an air conditioner unit, as well as the reliability of the company you hire when you need a new one. Disappointed in both!

After the service, the fireplace worked but shut off after roughly one hour. I contacted them again and a technician returned and turned the unit back on, but it shut off again shortly after they left. When I contacted them a third time, I was advised to check the chimney. I personally inspected it and confirmed it was clean and unobstructed. When I followed up again, I was told there may be other issues that would require additional costs and that the problem was not their responsibility, with the implication that I did not know how to operate a gas fireplace. I found this response unprofessional and disappointing, especially since the issue started immediately after their repair and remains unresolved. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

The salesperson came by the following morning to take a look at what needs to be done. I decided to replace my aging furnace at the same time and the salesperson walked me through the set of rebates that I can get from both Ontario and Enbridge. They also recommended adding attic insulation, which I hadn't done and was much needed. The additional Enbridge rebate pretty much pays for the insulation minus the required energy audit. Constant Home Comfort was able to get local contractors to install the hot water heater and the furnace on the same day. The contractors rolled out a carpet to the basement so that they didn't track dirt into the house and they did a great job of cleaning up after. The contractors fixed some issues with the A/C coil leaking into the furnace. They also taught us how to maintain the new equipment. Constant Home Comfort also took care of the rebates and set up the visit by the energy auditor. They still have to add insulation to the attic, but so far I'm very pleased with their service. Constant Home Comfort takes payment through cheque. They also speak Mandarin.

We are just supposed to sit here in the scorching heat waiting for them to call the manufacturer who refuses to take their calls. The 24 hr service is an absolute lie. The units they sell are faulty. This company is a scam!
