His ineptitude was imminently obvious, he would look up how to videos on YouTube before charging market rate for expert repairs, leaving me personally stranded twice in two different vehicles, and I personally watched him break 2 other people's cars while working on them, incurring untold additional cost in the process As far as I can tell, after renaming the shop to his name (after 20+ years of building a brand, strange he failed in the larger business world) he destroyed the good reputation and goodwill of his dads long running customers and ran the shop into the ground. Seems to be closed now. Sad. Some people's kids, man.

My former facility employed only certified mechanics and continued their training as automobiles evolved. I have two vehicles in good or new condition, so I knew that I could take my time to find the right repair facility here. Red Lion Motors is down a dirt rd on the owners property in Leander off RM 1431. Greg Potts is a master mechanic and taught Auto repair at ACC for twenty years. He is thoughtful and deliberate , uses the net for complete updates on every aspect of repair. My first visit was simply for an oil change. Greg sold me on the benefits of synthetic motor oil and I am glad that he did. My Silverado had one valve that would be noisy for the first few minutes of start up but that noise has gone away. The motor also runs a few degrees cooler since the change. There is no fancy waiting room here but you will feel confident that you and your vehicle are being well cared for.

Horrible experience. Bought a Groupon (which should have been my first clue) that seemed like a…read moregood deal for brake pad replacement. Booked an appointment on three separate occasions and they never showed up. The first time was due to what they said was an accident. The second and third, they never bothered to call or text back. These are people who don't care about customer service, only themselves. Even if the problem of the accident was true, they should have done a much better job of communicating issues. BTW, the third time they never showed, they called six hours after the appointment - after I called their google phone at least a dozen times to find out if they were coming - telling me they don't work in the rain. Hmmm . This is a buyer beware situation and whether it looked like a good deal or not, this is also not a real company IMHO.

I would say buyer beware. My boyfriend and I flew in from Illinois to buy a truck from Tariq. Took…read morehis word on this truck, as soon as we got home the turbo went out, coolant leak he said he fixed came back, wipers stopped working, the fog lights quit working, and the speakers stopped working. He said he'd work with us since we were flying in from out of state. Over $5,000 in repairs so far. As soon as my boyfriend told him about all the problems the truck was having he stopped returning his calls/texts. We understand used cars/trucks aren't guaranteed to be 100% perfect but for him to offer to help and work with us if there were any issues and then stop all contact is terrible. Sad a man's word and handshake mean nothing these days

I recently purchased a 2005 Ford F250 Super Duty FX4 from Texas Sport Cars and am extremely…read moreimpressed with their level of service. I contacted the owner, Tariq, through craigslist to set up a test drive and he was able meet at a time that fit with my busy schedule. By the time I arrived, he had the truck detailed inside and out with a full tank of gas and ready for a test drive. He had no problem with me driving it for a LONG time. I even got lost while joy riding and needed to call him for directions back. Before purchasing the vehicle I wanted to take the truck for a pre-purchase inspection at Lambs Tire and Automotive and he told me that he would wait for me and provided directions there even though it was already past their closing time. He even said "I would rather you take it to get inspected so you are satisfied with the vehicle you're buying." The inspection revealed some issues that are normal for the trucks age such as worn ball joints and bad alignment. Tariq had no issues adjusting the price and meeting all of my demands, including buying new headrests that weren't on the vehicle. After filling out the paperwork, which only took about 30 minutes, I was on the road and driving an awesome F250. If you are reading this and are in the market for a great used vehicle at a reasonable price at a dealership with people who put honesty and service first, Texas Sport Cars is the place to go!!

When I asked them how come the check engine light went back on two weeks later they replied with I don't know (I have to check my notes something didn't work) Everything I paid for them to fix they didn't fix it and I got my car back worse than when I dropped it off With no callbacks The damage done to my car it's already been five months later and it still hasn't been repaired

I have a 2009 Silverado V8 and needless to say the driver side engine mount was broken. And…read moreneedless to say it wasn't the first mount that was broken. I checked with the dealership and even an independent company and both of them we're going to charge me for seven hours labor for something that I knew only took one hour because I was going to do it myself. I ordered the mount and got most of the bolts loose and realized that it was gonna be a little bit harder than I had the tools to work with. But I'll be damned if I was going to pay an extra $1,300 dollars to a dealership that could do it in less than an hour. I was thrilled to know that for just $350 they would replace my engine mount (which I ordered off of Amazon) in a matter of hours. However there's one thing you need to realize when dealing with this company. This is a big rig company and they don't have shall we say, all the niceties of a dealership that's trying to rip you off. They gave me a very fair price ($350) for the work that was done and they did a great job. What I like and respect about these guys is that they are working class Joe's that do an honest days work. I have to admit I was very impressed with all the big rig work that they do which made my job seem elementary. Keep in mind the dealerships you deal with are trained to make sure that they can butter you up and take as much money out of your pocket as possible unlike these guys. Yes you may not get everything you demand over the phone right away but the owner is more than more willing to do the job but just meet him on his terms. Yes I had to call the morning I arrived and even called after the job was done to make sure that the truck was done. I think that they have so many things going on and there's a small job like this that gets a little overlooked and I'm not surprised. But I'll gladly except that and save $1000 over the dealership rip off price. This operation basically consisted of removing five 15mm bolts and 3 17mm nuts along with two minor electrical connections. It would require either a cherry picker to lift the engine up or a jack to lift the engine up but a crossmember would need to be removed for that operation first for a jack. In conclusion if you want your truck worked on they are certainly very experienced in this field. I get the impression they do pick ups on the side and big rigs are their main business. Which is just another reason why I recommend them because if anyone knows trucks, they do. Don't expect a Starbucks and a state of the art waiting room which is why I recommend just getting your vehicle dropped off. If you drop it off in the morning just make sure you call around 4 PM to see if your vehicle has been fixed. It's possible they may forget to call you that it's ready so take the initiative and save all that money.
