Two years after them doing our attic insulation we had a smoke/fog test done because the house is hot and humid inside. Standing outside it looked like our house was on fire. Our home has about 20% insulation. Our attic is hotter than outside temperatures now. That heat radiates into the house, no insulation between ceiling and attic. The mess inside the attic is unreal, we can't even have the closed cell taken out because it's like cement. I'm devastated at the mess they left us with. Our house was never a good candidate for closed cell because the sprayers can't reach the eaves. I don't understand why this company did this to us and why they wouldn't fix it. They have a bad reputation with other companies as well. When we get quotes for someone to fix this, they come out of the attic laughing at us. read more

we had a blow-in insulation and aluminum foil attachment under the roof last Dec 15, 2023. During the process, one of the workers stepped on a water pipe causing flooding of the attic with water and draining into 2 closets underneath. We had 1 service call to evaluate the stained area inside the closet. Since then, we had several appointments and promises to fix the damages but a no-show and lots of excuses with text calls going unanswered. The area inside the closet is now getting moldy. The last appointment was on Feb 16, 2024, and came up unavailable even with a set time. read more

We selected Polar Attic Insulation to install a radiant barrier in our 20x20 metal workshop because they had great reviews. Unfortunately, we have had a very frustrating experience with them. They completed the job $1,300 on 12/12/22. By April, the radiant barrier was sagging significantly in multiple places and the tape was coming off. - April 26th - We called and left a message with them to tell them it needed to be repaired. They never returned our call. - May 4th - Called and left a message again - Never returned our call. - May 26th - Called a 3rd time and was finally able to set up for someone to come out to repair it on June 2nd. - June 2nd - A crew came out with the completely wrong materials. They got on their phone and told us not to worry because Chris (the owner) was coming out within the hour to fix the issue. 5 hours later, Chris had still not arrived, so we texted him. He said he had no idea he was supposed to be coming out and instead set up an appointment for him to fix it on June 8th. - June 8th - Chris finally comes out at 5pm with ZERO equipment to fix the situation. Says he will need to bring the right screws, a ladder and a helper and will come out on June 12th. He explains that it needs to be tightened up with more screws and re-taped. - June 12th - Chris never shows up and never calls. - June 13th - We call at 10am and 4pm leaving a message to see what happened and pleading with them to fix the issue. Meanwhile, we have had all the belongings of our 20x20 metal building stacked up on the back porch since June 2nd! This has been the most frustrating, most unprofessional company I personally have ever dealt with. I chose this company because of all the positive reviews. I received a quote from Chris to install radiant barrier at my residence. He informed me that damage to my existing blown insulation would result from having to step over rafters to install the barrier. Knowing that this would result in compromising the R rating of my insulation, I inquired what measures would be taken to fix the damage his crew caused. Chris's only response was to charge me an additional $1,000 to blown in more insulation.! Completely unacceptable and unethical. I canceled my installation appointment and will have nothing to do with this business. Chris has since e-mailed and texted me unprofessional messages as a result of my poor ratings to his business. Hard-working and polite guy named Carlos removed a ton of blown insulation and installed radiant barrier. Pretty big job, especially for one guy, it took him two days. Chris, the owner, was always pretty quick to text me back. I appreciated that. Downside is that it took them a few weeks to get all the bags of old insulation removed off my property. Due to vacationing and other big jobs they had, they were behind. I would recommend this company if you were getting radiant barrier. This is a small company with limitations but they do pretty good work. Price was not inexpensive. If you're doing something cheap like radiant barrier, I would get a bunch of quotes. In hindsight, I should've done that but I didn't have the time. And honestly, radiant barrier isn't going to do the trick for me. I need my attic to be spray foam because I'm having condensation problems so I'm moving forward with that. Chris doesn't recommend spray foam, I can't remember why, but everyone else I talk to does recommend it. read more
