I always order small with tuna and salmon but even with small mix-salad, you'll get FULL! I love ordering ahead on DoorDash so that I don't have to be stuck in line. It gets real busy for lunch! I don't know about dinner, but for lunch I recommend to order online. I always get everything except for pickled ginger (gari) but it's so much volume! I sometimes leave 1/3 for dinner. Plenty of parking and open late. We were greeted when we arrived and the the staff seemed happy to be there and were joking with one another. We got the large bowl which in my opinion was a great value for the money. We had half and half white and brown rice with 1/2 tuna and 1/2 salmon and the quality and quantity was good. They added a ton of additional toppings we expected to be extra, but was included. It was enough for both us, saving some room for dessert at another local place (though they offer some desserts there). The place was well lit and fairly clean. Not sure how different each location in the chain is run, but we would come back here again. read more

For me, this is a poke establishment where you go to get a quick fix for your immediate poke craving. This location is very close to my house so I'll come here when I can't drive out to OB or Sorrento Valley for my other poke go-to's. With that said, I believe the fish quality is just okay. Do I feel like it's the freshest fish? No. It's definitely giving frozen and thawed out but that's what you expect from a chain restaurant type poke place. A few good things about Poki 1/2 is they allow you to create your own sauce, ask for more of it, and you can pretty much load up your toppings. Although I am disappointed they discontinued offering massago and never brought it back as a topping. And their sauce offerings could be more flavorful or more punchy. They lack a little umph. Customer service here can be a hit or miss. I have had very nice people serve me but mostly I have had very not so nice people serve me. At least at this location. There's always a certain person here who I can tell is just taking their day out on my bowl by the way they start sloppily start putting it all together and act annoyed when they ask me what I want next. That's kind of where it makes me want to avoid coming here sometimes because I never know if my bowl is going to be done nicely or just look like a bowl of slop! lol Overall, I'll come here from time to time but like I said it's more of a quick fix for me. If fish quality and customer service stayed consistently great I would come more often. read more

Once again, Poki One N Half In Eastlake did not disappoint. The Poke bowl I ordered was delicious and seafood was very fresh. I added the following to my bowl: - Half white rice and half mixed salad -Double spicy tuna -Salmon -Regular tuna For toppings & sauce I added the following: -Edamame -Seaweed salad -avocado -cilantro -Crab salad -Dried French onions and seaweed flakes -Sesame seeds -Spicy mayo and house sauce. Not too far from hotel so made a visit after I found on Yelp. Small place with a few chairs and tables for eating in. The ambiance was bright and inviting. I got the regular bowl that gets you 3 protein (2 salmon, 1 shrimp) with original sauce. I did 1/2 rice and 1/2 mixed greens. Wish I just did Greens. The fish was fresh and sauce was tasty. There is a lot of added ons with avocado not an extra charge, I think. My only gripe was the white rice. It was clumpy almost like mochi. Very picky when it comes to poke and the first time I had it, I thought it was pretty good. Came back a few times and it just doesn't hit the spot like it use to. The service is great but their portions aren't. I drench my bowls in sauce and it still taste dry. The price for their bowls is just not worth it honestly. I would rather much just drive all the way to Hillcrest and stress about parking to get a good quality bowl than one that's closer to home. read more

Ordered online total of 4 bowls and 3 of them were missing ingredients, one of them sauce and other 2 avocado. Since Im a usual customer I called to speak to someone about this and was expecting a resolution that would be favorable. I called and spoke to a lady and explained the situation, her response was : What was the question? I asked to speak to her supervisor, explained the situation once again, and her response was" I assure you the ingredients are there" I would not go out of my way and call and lie to someone about this wasting my time. She then offer to give me a side of sauce and avocado for the missing bowls. I was already home , 20 minutes away. No refund was offered of any kind, neither another bowl or a discount for my future visits. Not even an apology. Bad customer service experience. read more

Poki One N Half is a pretty good name if your mentioning the amount of stars this "restaraunt" deserves. The service is atrocious at best. The employee manning the bowl station dropped my bowl into the rice and messed up my order twice. All that on top of expensive prices for mediocre portions of food. 18 bucks for a scoop of octopus? What the f**k are we doing rationing? Anyway, overall the restaraunt is the epítome of generic, low quality-trendy restaraunts. Plus if there's a guy with anime pins on his hat god forbid you get him because he's got bricks for hands and is probably gonna drop your food on the ground. I love Poke but most places charge you an arm and a leg then skimp on the portions. This place was adequately priced and actually fills your bowl and doesn't sit there wasting time counting out 3 shrimp or 4 and a quarter pieces of salmon because that's what they were told to do. Will definitely be back. Gentleman was super helpful and knowledgeable about the sauces. read more

Been going here for a couple years and have always had good experiences, but the price hikes are killing it for me. I saw the regular bowl is up to $17.50 which is pretty pricey for a single meal... I ended up getting charged an extra dollar because I asked for a "little bit more rice" which I wasn't expecting or made aware of until I saw my total at the register. A little extra scoop of rice should not be charged more, not even chipotle does that. My total came up to 20 something dollars with no add ons except for the extra rice. That was a painful debit card swipe for a quick meal that should be no more than $15. I usually leave a tip but didn't this time due to the total. I will likely be looking for another poke spot. Food quality and service has been good but I can't justify coming here anymore. read more

On my most recent visit I ordered two large bowls. The staff was really nice and greeting all customers but since getting the line moving. My bowl had half white rice and salad. Avocado, imitation crab, and cucumbers. For fish, small mom is my fave but had a scoop of Ahi Tuna (large has 4 scoops). Topped my bowl with edamame, crunchy garlic, sesame oil and seeds. This place was very clean and very bright! They also include avocado for free in your bowl, which other places charged extra for. They have a lot of extra toppings and everything looked bright and fresh. The service was good. The girl helping us out sounded very genuine in her opinion of things and we did question whether or not we could handle the spicy sauce they had. I really like the layout of the menu since it is short, simple and to the POINT! Like, step 1... pick one.. step 2.. etc. Its almost fool proof! (Hopefully!) Everything tasted great.
