They got my ordered wrong, scheduled the appointment wrong and never called me back when I tried to reschedule per doctors orders. To detail my experience, I went in for my first visit suffering from Gaul stones and several other issues. Dr R. ordered the appropriate scans, blood work and a follow up 3 days later but the referral desk made a total hash of it making the scan appointment for a week later when one was available the next day. When I called back to reschedule for the next day they never called back. The doctor to his credit did call back after hours and told me the referral desk messed up and told me to start fasting for the scan the next day and to call back first thing in the morning to reschedule for a same day appointment(which wouldn't be a problem because these scans are very common.). So I called back but they didn't answer the phone and never returned my call all day. Two and a half hours later when I called back and spoke with the people at the front desk I was told " of course she hasn't called back she is very busy with sick people" and that I should call around and make the appointments myself. I wasn't given the correct codes or any guidance on who to call. By the time I got done calling around it was noon and I had missed any same day appointments so I made an appointment for the next day. Unfortunately since I wasn't given the correct info and the referral desk never called back I scheduled the wrong scans and couldn't get the appointment done at all. Currently I have lost faith in their ability to competently provide healthcare and have had to try to treat my condition myself while I try to find a new doctor. This is really disgusting and disappointing I would have been better off going to a walk in clinic. I guess that's why they are accepting new patients.

I had a very disappointing and stressful experience with this office, primarily due to the…read morefront-desk administrative staff. I was initially told I would not be able to see my previous provider, even though I had received confirmation by text from the office. When I came in to sign the required release of information forms, the staff member I spoke with was dismissive and rude, even though she already knew I would be out of state for a week. Only after I showed her the message from the office did she go back and confirm with the provider, who agreed to see me after all. Later, when I arrived for my appointment at the new office on Coastal Highway, the same staff member was there. I arrived five minutes late after driving in from out of state, which the office policy allows to be waived once. I completed all paperwork, but she never checked me in. As a result, the provider came out and took another patient instead of me, even though my appointment was scheduled first. This was extremely frustrating and anxiety-provoking -- especially for someone seeking behavioral health care. The dismissive attitude and lack of basic administrative care made the entire experience feel chaotic and unsafe. I left feeling unsettled rather than supported. I strongly believe this office would benefit from trauma-informed customer service training, especially when working with mental health patients. Front-desk staff play a critical role in patient experience, and this one interaction made me decide not to return.

I came in for a sick visit on a Sunday and the NP, Brittany, I saw was knowledgeable and took the time to go over any concerns and was generally very pleasant. My partner and I have had annual exams scheduled several months in advance. We each received an…read moreautomated voicemail reminding us of our upcoming visit. BUT, we each have had to call the office back to ask if we need bloodwork prior to the visit. The answer is yes, so we are obviously having to remind them that it is needed ....and that should be part of their call / process. This is the second year in a row that this has happened. Today falls on a Thursday and my appt is next Tuesday. I've left a voicemail once again asking if I need bloodwork. Being that the results of the bloodwork take time and my appt is next Tuesday, it's likely I'll have to cancel my appt on Monday and battle their office for a "24 hour notice cancellation fee." If there's no bloodwork results, there can't be an an exam. I've been happy with Dr. Bahtarian,but I no longer want to interface with this office.
