We sought out these guys shortly after moving into our place after after we discovered that about a million ants were also interested in moving in with us. They were prompt in getting back after I called the office, with Darin, their point person in the field, getting ahold of us within a few minutes. He set up an appointment to come over and give us an estimate later that day. The technician who did the spraying came over the next morning and everything was done within about 18 hour of calling. Rather impressive for something we expected to take a lot longer. The package they run was for a seasonal application, that included twice in the first month, then quarterly thereafter, with as many "touch ups" as needed. Cost was about $150 for the first application and $110 for the next 4. It seemed steep at first, but after we tried spraying a few times and kept finding tons of ants in multiple places, we decided that wasn't all that much after all! Super friendly and professional guys, quick service and (hopefully) way fewer bugs. We highly recommend these guys! read more

They were treating my neighbor's house and then knocked on my door to offer a quote. However, I have a clearly-typed sign right next to the doorbell that says NO SOLICITING. Even after I pointed out the sign, she still tried to give me her spiel. If employees are going to ignore clear instructions and annoy people, then I don't want anything to do with your business. read more

I looked for a pest control company in March to control the rodents tearing up my lawn. Pointe PC assured me that they could control the gophers and voles from tearing up my lawn. They charged an initial large fee and then were to provide quarterly service to keep the rodents under control with a fee each quarter. They have not yet kept the rodents under control this summer. When I signed up, they told me to call them if i dont see any improvement and there wouldn't be an additional fee. They told me to give it a week or two to see any results. I've called them 4 times now and still no improvement. Each time they've charged me for the service even though it's part of the same quarterly service that they guaranteed. I'm not sure if I'm part of a scam but it sure seems like it. When I call Pointe PC's office, they're too busy to allow me to speak to the person handling existing customers. First , you get their recorded message. It asks you if you if you're an existing customer or a new one. When you select existing customer, the person from new accounts answers and is only able to take a message. If you miss a call back, they don't follow up with another call...you have to call them. Worst customer service I've had with a company. Lastly, when you call to ask if someone can come out to look at the problem, you have to wait a week or be available on their schedule, not yours. Usually a few days before they're available. By then more damage has occurred. I recommend to anyone looking for a pest control service to find another company. You'll be better served. Dissatisfaction of service/ misinformation between employees. On 06/21/2018, an account manager came out to my house asking if I would like my home treated and was very informative and knowledgable. After speaking to him, I decided to prepay for a year since I figured I would be keeping the service from this point on. The same day, a technician was able to come out and treat the outside of my home and to knock down all the wasps nests. On 06/22/2018, I got stung twice and noticed there was still a nest that had approximately 15 bees near the side of my back gate, right under the area of my meter box. I knocked down the nest, but noticed the wasps were still in that area. I called Pointe and asked told them of the situation. (One of the account manager's promises with their service was they would come back at as many times as needed to treat the problem). The call taker told me all the technician would do is knock down the nest and spray the treatment. Since I already knocked it down, I asked for them to come back and spray the area. They said they did not have anyone available today and would send someone tomorrow. Today (06/23/2018) I called to cancel the service. The call taker asked me for the reason and I told her. I also asked to cancel my appointment I was supposed to have later today, where the technician was going to spray the area of the wasp nest. The call taker told me the technician would not have sprayed in that area even if he came out. (Previous call taker said he would). She even told me there would be a cancellation fee. I asked if that fee still applied even though I just opened the account on Thursday, got stung the following day from missing a wasp nest, and now her telling me the technician would not have done what the other call taker promised. She said I would still be charged the fee if I cancelled. I decided to cancel the service. read more

He did a thorough inspection of my house and explained what he found. He explained the best way to deal with the problem. That was the first time I met John. I am happy with the service. read more

I was extremely impressed with Pointe Pest Control's professionalism and quality. Darin was professional, responsive and informative when we had contract questions. Zeke came out to do our initial treatment and he was punctual, responsive to my concerns, professional and highly considerate of safety regarding social distancing. I believe I spoke to an individual by the name of Darrin today to discuss getting a treatment for our home. Once he realized I didn't want to sign up on a contract with the company all politeness quickly went away. He stated my husband was "uneducated" and "foolish." Well actually my husband has stage 4 cancer and we aren't looking to have another bill on top of our mounting medical bills. This man was so rude and needs to "educate" himself on customer service. I called Epic Pest Control out of the Tri-cities and they were wonderful to talk to, plus less expensive. I suggest giving them a call, skip these guys. Thanks Epic! read more

I originally brought Pointe Pest Control in for ants, which are bad in Yakima. They required a one year plan, which was more than I wanted, but they will not do anything less. I just had one of my quarterly services. The technician was pleasant enough but clearly didn't perform all of the services I was billed for. Part of the service is spraying for wasps and removing any wasp nests. Once the technician left, I went into my backyard and discovered a large wasp nest with several very much alive wasps. The nest was within a couple feet of the gate the technician went through several times, so he either ignored it or missed a nest 2 feet from his head. Either way they charged me for the services and failed to do this portion. I had to purchase wasp spray and finish their job for them, due to the high likelihood of getting stung going through the gate, while waiting for Pointe to come back. I definitely don't plan to renew my contract at this point. read more

Good company! We live close to orchards so you can't imagine all the bugs especially spiders that we get. The worst time for bugs is when they harvest the orchards. When we see any bug activity we call them and they come ASAP! Ray is our specialist that comes by. He is very knowledgeable. I Like this guy. Sometimes Im too busy to open the gate doors for backyard because we have a new baby. He opens all the gates sprays everything down and closes all the gates back up! This is very important to me because we have a dog. Other people from other company's seem to not care or just get bothered that nothing's opened up and ready for them. Over a years time of service i have had multiple bills with over charged accounts and nasty emails stating they want payment. Got that all straighten out. So next time i over paid them an extra payment.. Bam another statement stating they need payment.. They cant seem to get billing correct.. when they show up they dont check rat boxes and i have been filling them myself. We use them on 2 different residence and both have constant bee problems. Nothing they use is helping.. sure we have a over population of yellow jackets but at least get something that works. (im just mad at this point) after last bill i have called and left 5 different messages and no one calls me back with in a weeks time.. last resort.. called and canceled all service today.. They suck!! read more

This service was sold to me from a door to door salesperson from Pointe in July 2016. Was told that they could solve my wasp and ant problem out side. Well it is now Sept 2016. The sales rep promised they could solve all issues, but after talking to the technician who came out, nope can do, can never get rid of ants or wasps outside. Today I called explained to Pointe what I was promised and yep its true what the tech said. Cancelled my service after 3 applications with no improvement what so ever to wasps and ants and was charged a $95.00 cancellation fee. WARNING; DO NOT TRUST DOOR TO DOOR SALES REPS. This is an add on to above statement. I just received an email from Pointe Pest Control stating that they decided not to charge me the cancellation fee because of what I was told by their sales person. I feel so much better about the integrity of this Company now. read more
