I really don't often give 5 Star Reviews, but this dog park deserves it. The Park is huge!! There…read moreare double gates to enter and exit so no pooch gets loose, the whole park is fenced in so you don't have to worry about your pup doing a Steve McQueen "The Great Escape" unless he/she rides a motorcycle to jump the fence. Volunteers leave water dishes and gallons of water so pups can enjoy a fresh drink. There are toys galore; left for you to play fetch. Follow one of the many paths with your four legged friend. Get tired, no worries! Just relax on one of the many benches. Think your pup is Top Dog? Try the Dog Agility course. There are tunnels to choose from, a teeter board, weave poles, dogwalk, ladder and more! There is even a smaller fenced in area for the smaller pups who don't want to run with the Big Dogs. When your dogs are tired you can relax out of the sun in one of the many seats in the Pavilion. This is all made possible by the volunteers and donors whose names are listed on a sponsor board. When you visit leave only footprints, not doggie donations...puppy poop bags and refuse containers are plentifully provided. This review was actually written by my Boxer Kids Kelsey and Woodson. I typed this for them because they don't have opposable thumbs.

This dog park is AWESOME! I could go on for days about it…read more It has two separated sections, one for smaller or shy dogs and one for everyone else. Generally everyone hangs out on the larger side. It is large enough that if two dogs do not get along, they have enough space to get away from one another. On that note, I have never seen an altercation at this dog park and I come here VERY frequently. Most, if not all, of the owners are very aware of their dogs actions and are responsible. During the not-snow-months, everyone is very good about picking up after their dogs and keeping the park tidy. This winter, one of the dog park frequenters plowed a walkway around the entire park for easier walking. During inclement weather, there is a small "house" near the center of the park where you can take shelter while your dogs enjoy the rain, snow, wind, etc. It was a lifesaver on those especially blustery days this winter. The dogs don't mind but we do! There are windows on all 4 sides so your can keep an eye on the pups. They also have lights set up inside the house as well as outside. There are some solar-powered lights attached to the saplings but I have not been after sunset so I'm not sure how much they light the way. The park is kept running solely on donations because it is not an entity of the city of Marshfield. The president of the dog park, Phil(and dog Henry) are there often, enjoying the park and making sure it is up to par. Phil takes great pride in the park and it shows. Best park in the area hands down! Check this place out! Ps: I have been told by park goers that during fair time the park closes down for parking.

Park was great and all until until today when there was a rottweiler with no owner present…read more Beware owners with smaller dogs, its aggressive to smaller slightly shy dogs. My dog was fine with all other bigger dogs; just ignore and play.

With the path and multiple seating areas it's easy to get some space if your pet needs social interaction breaks. The unfenced area is lovely with a river running past it. It is not free however, but the price is very reasonable for annual and day rates and you can pay with card at a terminal when you park.

My ex certainly wasn't going to step up and help, even tho a king time ago we took OUR dogs here. What u will find here is peace. Beauty and no mosquitoes. It's worth your while to keep on. Walking back along the river line. Just take your time. Plenty of places you could take pictures it's absolutely peaceful. It was so nice to hear the birds sing. Thinking about my dog drama and how much I miss her, wishing we could be in that walk with her, but we'll- I let that go no mosquitoes. It's worth your while to keep on. There are a few pints in interests where the humans can sit and the dogs can get water.
