Quiet and peaceful hotel right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. It is adjacent to the EICC, which is perfect if you are attending a conference.
The room was perfect for two people. It had all the basic amenities that we needed - bed, tv, and shower. We would walk all over the town and come back to relax, then head out again later.
The bed was comfortable and cozy. There wasn't a microwave or coffee maker in the room, but we didn't really require either. They have a high end coffee machine in the lobby, which is free with your breakfast, you tell them what you would like from the many options. They also have decaf coffee in a sachet, if you prefer that. Otherwise, they do charge you throughout the day. They have wine and beer options too for later in the day. Their beer was delish and made in Edinburgh.
There is a cost for the breakfast, but if you reserved your room online it was free. We had it every morning and were not disappointed. They even had gluten-free cereal, which I've never seen in the states.
I highly recommend this hotel, not only are the employees gracious and attentive but the location is superb. read more
