Have stayed her multiple times with my family. It is a great hill country get away with three main houses. There is a pool, hot tub, and game room. There is also a ton of land to drive through and explore. The land borders a mile of the Guadalupe river so we were able to go toobing in the summer time. read more

My family and I visited the Poco Loco Ranch this year to celebrate Easter and had the most amazing time! We were all a little skeptical at first because we usually just have a party at my parents house but I am so glad they decided to have it here instead. There are SO many things to do. The kiddos got to swim and the adults staked out the hot tub most of the time. We had a giant volleyball tournament, and ping pong tournament. We went fishing every day and caught some decent sized catfish (beware of the fire ants near the river!). I live in Downtown Dallas and I have to say, this was the perfect relaxing get away. The scenery is gorgeous in the Spring! We made smores at night around the firepit and enjoyed lots of adult beverages as well. The front patio was perfect for hosting so many people for an Easter BBQ. The front lawn is where we held the Easter Egg hunt for the little ones and they LOVED it. So many nooks and crannies to really make them hunt for the eggs. Our dogs were running around all the land and came home exhausted but happy pups. The kitchen had everything we needed already there except for the perishable goods (of course). We also made good use of the smoker and the grill. The family that owns this Ranch is so sweet and accommodating. We are all looking forward to coming back soon. read more

If feel like you're driving into a kitschy little tourist trap but it's totally LEGIT!…read more A knowledgeable tour guide takes you down 143 (?) feet underground into active caves that feed one of three huge aquifers that supply water to Texas! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable (he's worked here for over 10 years) and hilarious. There was a five year old on our tour (and his mom and the two of us) and the tour guide was just as fantastic as the caverns themselves! Highly recommend. This cavern is privately owned and the $20ish bucks per person is a bargain! It's a little chilly down there. Being a sweater if you don't like the damp... and non slip shoes. If you're claustrophobic, obviously you might not want to do it but it's not that the spaces are particular small, it's just the thought of being so far underground with the fear of water rushing in. (They wouldn't take you down if that were a threat)! Loved it!
