But it's such a beautiful old building and it's hard not to describe it as sexy. Right in the heart of Georgetown - almost impossible to get to by car if you want to actually bank here. If you're walking around Georgetown then it's a great location for an ATM despite the fees unless you bank here. And how pretty is this building? read more

PLEASE NOTE! This review is of one particular person at this branch, Nathan. Your services are pretty basic and customer service is pretty bad...with this ONE exception, thus far. Nathan helped me open my account and recently helped me get an Instantcard, to replace a lost card, when another branch and 888 number gave me nothing but "sorry". This past Friday I was ready to open an account elsewhere, until Nathan helped me. The fact that I had to think of going directly to Nathan and three of your representatives did or could not speaks volumes about your customer service...with the exception of Nathan. I would suggest you clone him. Everyone else I talked to should not be in customer service. read more

My mortgage loan was transferred to the PNC bank, this is the worst bank my mortgage could have been sent to. Trying to get online banking information from customer service so that we can have auto pay was terrible. I had to make 4 calls to the 800 number with no help, either I was transferred to wrong extension or just disconnected. Not the service I expected from one of the leading banks. Very disappointed and so frustrated to know I must now have to deal with PNC bank till my mortgage is paid off :( If someone is listening from corporate, please sell my loan to another bank, please. Beautiful Building, Horrible customer service. At about 7 PM in the evening, I attempted to use the MAC machine at this location. When I put my card in, the machine went black, "ate my card" and rebooted to the welcome screen. Needless to say, I was unable to get needed cash, and was now without my card. I called the number on the teller machine, they told me I could get it back the next day when the bank opened. Next Day, I called the bank. They told me that they did not service the MAC machines and my card would be destroyed. They offered to re-print the card, but when they found out my account was with another bank, they immediate copped an attitude, like it was my fault I didn't have a PNC account. I am from out of town, so this has really become a bit of a nightmare for me, and although I don't blame PNC, the attitude of the branch personnel I spoke with has made it certain I will never be a PNC customer! read more

I have been a customer of PNC bank for about 10y. And I just had a scary experience with this branch. On 11/06/15 I stopped by to make a deposit and get a copy of my statement since I was going to DMV... Which was a horrible experience too. The bank teller had the audacity to open a credit card account without my AUTHORIZATION or even mentioning it to me. The lady kept asking me weird questions which I found so unprofessional such as the area I live at is very expensive, how much I pay for my rent! I must make good money to live there... These questions were very annoying and I should have sensed that she was actually cooking something for her own benefit. This lady opened a credit card account without my AUTHORIZATION!!! I find out later they get some kinda credit by opening credit card accounts for their customers... They are trying to get as much customers as they can. This lady now most probably ruined my credit as we all know in order to get a credit card they run your credit and closing it also affects your credit. I'm very frustrated that PNC bank put me in such situation where now I have to deal with things I never had to deal with and I'm pretty sure I will no longer be one of their customers because I have lost my trust. If they were able to open a credit card account without my authorization they are also able to use it. And this is a fraud and illegal. Ah and the best part is some lady called me which I forgot her name and I think she s a manager at that branch. She was trying somehow to convince me that this isn't a big deal because I'm a pre approved for a credit card and that's why... Lady no pre approved or not there is no way to open a credit card without me AUTHORIZING it. My advice to all PNC bank customers. Be careful, always follow up and if you can change your bank. I used to love banking here until we had the singular worst experience you could have with a bank. Two days before Christmas we discovered that all the money in our account had been frozen. We learned that PNC had taken this action because we had missed two loan payments after four years of on-time payment. PNC had frozen our funds two days before Christmas despite the fact that we had been long-time customers and had consistently paid our loans on-time until this mix-up. We had automatic payments set up for our auto loan and changed the date of the deduction in October. During the course of that change, we missed a payment and as a result, the automatic payments were discontinued. Unfortunately, we were unaware of this and when PNC tried to contact my husband he was out of the country on a month-long business trip. We only realized there was a problem when PNC took the extreme approach of freezing all our funds right before Christmas - which Arthur Hayhurst said was "an attempt to get our attention". When we visited our local branch to try figure out a resolution we were told they couldn't do anything to help us. Additionally, Arthur Hayhurst freely shared confidential information about another PNC client saying, "there's another [man with my husband's name] that took us for $250,000". We are absolutely not comfortable banking with an institution that allows its employees to share this sort of information so casually. We are beyond disappointed that PNC chose this course of action and at that time of the year. We had been enjoying the holiday season and had hoped to spend the two days before Christmas with our families, not at the bank. We would have expected that given our history with PNC and our payment history that PNC would have treated us better. At the very least, we would have expected PNC would leave us with enough money to buy food for our family for Christmas. read more

IM NEVER TAKING OUT ANOTHER LOAN WITH PNC AND I HAVENT EVEN PAID MY FIRST PAYMENT. The low interest rate might be tempting...but good luck trying to pay your car loan. Took me over an hour to set up my online portal. They use some third party for car loans so I have to go to some sketch 3rd party website to pay this stuff. Tried to set up mobile banking using their app-COULDNT EVEN LOGIN because their app is screwed up. I had to reset my password and reinstall the app. IT STILL DOESNT WORK. Any reasonable organization that I owe money let's me know via mail or email that I owe them money and when it's due. PNC is so cheap that they send you one piece of mail with all your loan statements for the next 4 years and expects you to keep track of them. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO BE REMINDED OF WHEN YOUR BILL IS DUE. PNC customer service has been alright. read more

I swung by about 3 minutes before closing a few weeks ago. I was desperate because I had lost my only debit card and this is one of the only branches that is able to print them in house. Brian Bell was so absolutely kind and courteous. I walked up as he was locking the door and he welcomed me inside, took care of my problem quickly and kindly, and I didn't feel like he was trying to rush me out of the door to close up. I opened an account here and did not receive a debit card for weeks, after checking in several times. The person who opened my account promised I would have it within 5 days before I went on vacation, and I did not receive the card until three weeks later. I had to call the bank three times to get them to mail it to me. When I tried to activate the card after receiving, the pin number I set up did not work. I tried to close the account and they said they would call me back and never got back to me. Every person at this branch has been unprofessional in some aspect. I cannot wait until I can close my account and move on. read more

Never never open an account with this branch or PNC. They promised me to a $200 bonus if I made direct deposit and use online bill payment. They never gave me my bonus!!!!! Every time I contacted their staff or customer service, they will provide me some reasons why I cannot get my bonus, AND EACH TIME THE REASONS ARE DIFFERENT!!!!
