Particularly their online customer service "manager" Sonja. Capitol One has a history of sending people "Oops there is an error message", dating back to 2020 from my research. It still hasn't been fixed till this day. See Reddit thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/CreditCards/comments/i9e9wu/capital_one_hit_a_snag_error_message_and_other/ Last post was made 1 month ago, and it happened today. It is very apparent they have an incompetent tech team, who still has yet to fix this issues 3 years later. I've logged on last night with no problems, until I started to get the error message. It took me 3 phone calls, 4 transfers, 5 holds, and 48 mins trouble shooting, and speaking to Sonja to tell me: "You're locked out. Because it's a algorithm thing with banks." Me: "I've had Citibank for the last 10 years (still do), Chase, Wells Fargo, WaMu, BoA, and this is the first time that I've encountered a banking institution telling me I'm locked out due to an 'algorithm'." Sonja: Uhhh... I don't know what to tell you. I can send you a letter. A letter wasn't going to do anything. People on the Reddit thread has said that this letter does nothing to help solve their issues. I asked to be transferred to their Tech Department, which by the way, get this... "Refused to talk to me (the client), because I haven't been locked out for 24 hours yet." No, I didn't get the wrong password. I simply logged on too many times, according to Sonja. That's the BIGGEST nonsense I've heard in my life. Even then, that sounds like a THEM problem. If I was truly locked out, wouldn't there be a you're locked out of your account message? Sonja kept repeating how much was in my checking account. However, that's not what I asked her. I asked her to transfer me to either her supervisor, or these tech people who flat out refuse to take peoples calls before the 24 hours is up. Sonja claimed there was no one there, so she just literally threw her Direct Report under the bus. I can smell BS from 2,000 miles away. Either get it together or get your story straight.
