Freedom Mortgage made many promises to make the necessary changes and get us scheduled for another closing, but nothing ever happened. We continued getting the run around from their customer service department and somehow I suspect it has something to do with them not wanting to honor the interest rate we were quoted. I had called to talk to them regarding my payment, and was told because the last day of the month was On A Sunday that I had until 1059 Eastern time the next business day to make the payment, well that wasn't true and now our fico score took 120 point nose dive . When speaking with them after seeing this, the woman on the phone proceeded to tell me that our payment was 32 days late. Which I don't agree with, but doesn't matter. They don't care, like a lot of big corporations, knowing that Americans are struggling they don't care. By the way, this isn't the only negative experience I've had with this company. I wished our mortgage hadn't been sold to them.

This is the best location of PNC. They bend over backwards to be nice. The thing I dislike about…read morePNC banks is their inconsistency between branches. Their policies seem to be different according to each branch which is aggrevating. What is the maximum cash you can take from the drive thru? Runnemeade is $1500, Collingswood is $2400 and Cherry Hill is $2000. And they will tell you "It's our policy, this is the maximum at all branches" This is incredibly annoying. Also, if I have the $5000 in my account why am I given such a hard time when I want to withdraw it? I've been told I have to call ahead or that the branch doesn't have it? $5000? Are you kidding me? Your a bank and its my money. Anywho, this branch has zero of these issues, hence why I go here.

This isn't just for the bank because you actually can't call into the bank. However, this is for…read moretheir customer service. The only people that you can contact on the phone. They get you in acting like you're going to get a low interest rate on your car loans, they tell you interest rates from like 3.5% of 17% however they can't even tell you what criteria needs to be for what bracket of interest rates. I've never taken out a loan where they couldn't tell me what criteria you to meet to see if you even wanna do business with them. Technically you could have perfect credit and you can meet all the criteria and still get 17 percent interest rate if that's what they want to give you. It is a scam. Stay away from them. They lure you in on false pretense and then can't answer any questions which as a financial Institute they should be able to answer all questions. A car salesman could answer more questions about finance than their own financial institution can answer. They lost my business on that. Could've made a lot of money off my loan, I've been with the banks and their credit cards for over 15 years, I have a personal relationship with finance as well. So this leads me to believe that they have under trained staff. Ignorance is no excuse. For anyone who's reading this, in case you are unaware, as many people are, when they run your credit if you decide to not take out a loan with them, it will drop your credit by 20+ points. If you don't take the loan, it looks like you've got denied. Therefore them not being able to answer your questions properly could result in you dropping into a credit score bracket that you won't be able to get lower interest rates because they suckered you in. If you want to Bank with them, they aren't so bad they have benefits other banks don't have. But it comes the cost because there's only one location in the entire state of New Jersey.

They have a company that is outsourced and there is a language barrier with the reps that I spoke to and they put the freeze on my account over Labor Day weekend and two other times after that because of a charge for $3.99 for a company that I have been doing business for over 30 years. I was out of town when my account was frozen, so you can imagine how frustrated I was when I was attempting to use my card at Dunkin Donuts for $9.00 and it was denied. I was unable to call the credit union, or the company that had been hired to monitor GSFCU accounts. When I finally reached the company, after the holiday then actually questioned me about my charges even though I told them that they were authorized by me! He refused, then he started going through my account and questioned me about charges that were none of his business. I felt that a total stranger from who knows where had the ability to go through my account and pick and choose what he felt was fraud. I no longer deal with GSFU due to this invasion of privacy!
