Came in to cash a check issued to me as a refund from the bank. They asked for my bank card and ID which I gave them, then had me wait while they chatted on in front of me whether they could cash it or not. Finally with a fake smile she says we can deposit it and you'll have it in a few days. Yeah duh!!! I can do that from any ATM or my phone.?I came in to CASH my CHECK not deposit. Pnc was my very first bank account I believe to have opened, and I am still with them!!! In Aventura Miami Beach florida, I have yet to have had a bad experience! I would highly recommend and appreciate greatly each visit and transaction!!! Before, I banked in cincinnati Ohio amd has similar experience. I cannot say the same with other banks. When I was overseas, they helped fix my problem immediately, which I will always honor. They are there when you need help. read more

So I walked in wanting to open a business account, was told by apt only so I gave my info and was told will be contacted within hours to make a appointment, never heard back, so a few days later I call to make a appointment they take my info with same promise to call same day and never happened, a few days later I call AGAIN leave my info and express my frustration, am promised that this will get handles ASAP and she will follow up with me and so on, it's been a week, still no word! My Mother passed away Dec 2018 and she and my Dad had a number of CDs that started off in St. Francis Wisc in the late 60' and 70's and went through about 6 other Banks to end up at PNC Bank. It took me 53 weeks to clear up the fact that I was indeed the benefactor to these CDs. I will spare you the details but this is the reason why I writing this review. I wanted to write this in Jan 2020 but the Pandemic stopped me. The reason for this 1 star review (it should be Zero) is that PNC never called me back. They never called me back when they answered the phone or when i left a voice message. I had to contact an Attorney, (July 2019) not to handle the legalities but to get someone to call me back. I had talked to 9 different people in three different states, PA., MI. and OH and none ever called me back. They didn't even call back my Attorney. She went on the Internet and found the Corporate office telephone number a finally someone call her back to call me. Her name was Rochelle and even she called only when convenient for her. For example, after talking to PNC I had to send a letter registered in order to process with cashing the CDs. I called Rochelle's office and she was gone so I talked to anther women. She spent 45 minutes to find the letter and when she came back, I could hear her , but she couldn't her me and hung up. Now I did Customer Service for 43 years and when that happened I called back the Customer. She did not. So I call her immediately back from my land line and she never called back. So later on her return, I referred that to Rochelle and she wanted me to write a letter to include all the people I talked to so she could refer it to their Supervisors to make it a "teaching moment." Teaching Moment" I exclaimed. You have to teach someone to call back a customer when a hung up is involved or when you leave a voice mail. It was bad enough my Mother passed, but having to deal with PNC for over a year only because they would not call back to advise, was absolutely the worst experience at the absolutely wrong time. All I can advise is avoid them at all cost or be prepared to hire an Attorney to receive call backs. I did offer my Services (I was a trainer at my first job) that if PNC ever moves to AZ. I recently pursued a PNC incentive program to open an account at this bank. I was promised $300 for a monthly electronic deposit to my account, a monthly electronic bill paid from my account, and a monthly bill paid with their check from my account. I complied with each and waited patiently to receive my $300. I checked with a bank officer periodically to determine the reason for the delay. Several different reasons were given including the idea I hadn't waited a sufficient amount of time. Finally after five months, my patience had expired. I talked to the VP/Branch Manager of the bank who said he would call officers at the corporate level because he lacked the authority to resove my problem. A week later, two corporate level officers called me to inform me I was being denied the $300 because I had not fully complied with the requirements within the 60 day window and had not utilized "on line banking." I offered to do whatever was necessary to restore my qualifications. The offer was summarily rejected. I informed PNC at both the local and corporate levels that I would write a review for Yelp and after two more weeks of no effort by PNC to placate me or to resolve the issue, I attempted to close my account and to with draw $29,073. To my amazement they informed me that it would cost me $25 to do so if I didn't leave my funds there for another month. Although I was upset over this shabby treatment I with drew my funds minus the $25 rather than having to in anyway associate with these highly unprofessional and disgusting individuals. I would never, never do business with PNC again nor would I advise anyone under any circumstances consider doing business with them. In contrast with PNC, I have banked at Chase Bank for approximately 15 trouble free years. On several occasions they have routinely deducted small amounts from my accout due to money transfers or a problem with a check I cashed. In every case they credited back into my account the deduction upon my contact with a bank officer. I have great respect and admiration for Chase Bank. read more
