He is considered a Tier 3 stylist, and I loved the results. He was careful about lifting my natural medium brown color to a blonde that both suited my wants and kept by hair safe. He took a lot of time to talk with me about goals, which made me feel like he is in it for the long game-- like he really cares about his clients and works to maintain extended relationships. I'll be back to see about lightening it again soon! The salon seems to be in a paced opening phase, so it is early days, but Joaquin and the team on the ground were super accommodating, the environment was comfortable and airy. My experience with Top Line Beauty College was extremely disappointing, largely because of one staff member, Kim. She often acts as though she runs the entire school and creates an uncomfortable environment for students. Over the years, I have heard similar concerns from numerous coworkers, classmates, and colleagues who felt they were treated unfairly or disrespectfully. Students come to beauty school to learn, grow, and build confidence in a supportive environment. Instead, many feel intimidated and afraid to speak up. A learning environment should encourage students, not make them feel fearful or anxious. Based on my experience and the experiences shared by others, I would not recommend this school. The negative atmosphere created by certain staff members overshadows what should be a positive educational experience.

One negative I experienced was the lack of professionalism from another barber. I never got his name but his chair/desk was right next to us. Alex and some students politely asked him to move to another chair as a customer was going to arrive soon. He says no and they informed him that the professor would get along. Later during my cut he gets hostile and a bit aggressive towards the student attending me and I quote "Alex, you're a snitch? Nah I didn't know you were a snitch." I was appalled by his unprofessionalism. Luckily it was handled as Alex reminded him I was a customer and such behavior should be held privately. I don't know if I would recommend this shop if there's going to be students trying to be aggressive during a clients' service.

The flexibility it offers, the patience and understanding it offers for those who have families; the teachers will answer any questions you may have, they go above and beyond teach you anything you want to know, and go above and beyond to make sure we understand everything thoroughly. And not to mention the price of the education here is better than anywhere else! After reading some reviews from customers , what I experienced was Miss Francis and Miss Maira do their very best to fit every client in, they do their very best to make sure every client is catered to, and they're always happy and positive, that was one thing I loved about them. Once she started brushing and blow drying my hair I told the student "this looks a lot more red than what I thought" then she stared and hesitated saying "is that okay?" I still decided to trust her saying that once my hair is fully dried it'll be better. Big mistake. Once it was finished it looked just slightly closer to what I asked for. I didn't realize until I stepped out into the sun and at home that it is nothing like what I asked for. The first photo is what I showed as reference, while the second is what I got. My appointment was at 9:30 am and I got out at 3:00 pm. My entire day was wasted. Called to ask for a correction appointment and even then that process was handled poorly. When I finally came in they essentially told me my hair can't achieve the color that I originally wanted, there was nothing they could do. The best they could offer was a "complimentary treatment" and didn't acknowledge that they messed up my hair. If you do have to go here never book with a phase one student. Previously booked with a phase two student and it went perfectly fine.

They turned on a fan on and turned it toward me. They didn't have a big pedicure chair to sit in where you put your feet down into a bath of water. They had a movable thing that they sit on and then I put my feet on it. I also put my feet in a bucket of water below me. The first girl that worked on me couldn't even cut my toenails with the clippers. My nails are not difficult to cut. An older gentleman had to take over and he pinched me with the clippers. Luckily. no skin was broke. The instructor was standing there when I said, "Ouch" and she didn't even blink or even apologize.This gentleman didn't even know how to put the nail polish on so when I got home, I had to cover my nails with more polish. Not sure if it's worth going back to this place. I would pay double the price at my nail person and get better service and not have to drive so far. I was the only person getting my nails done and there was a gentleman getting a five dollar haircut. No other customers. That should've told me something. There were quite a few supervisors just sitting around and eating. One last thing, I don't know how this the school gets accredited. I think if the health department walked in, they would be closed.
