Our tax preparer of many years retired this year, and we started the search for a new firm. We…read morefound that personal service for a relatively simple tax return was difficult to find, with many preparers not interested in a relationship, but simply want you to upload your files to a secure site. Then Aaron called me after I requested a consultation. He listened to our current status, asked questions about my upcoming retirement, and readily agreed to a face-to-face meeting at his office to discuss our last return, our taxes for 2023, and how he would like to start planning for what 2024 might look like. It was great to meet Aaron, he is very personable, experienced, knowledgeable, and it was clear he is interested in developing a long-term relationship that will give us peace of mind for years to come. Our 2023 return was completed quickly, I was provided a copy to review, and then we did a short call where Aaron did an outstanding job answering all of my questions and helping with several suggestions for 2024. We are extremely pleased with the entire process, from our first meeting through proactively planning for next year! We highly recommend Aaron and his team at Pacific Tax Advisors for your tax needs.

She charges a fair price and helped me get a substantial refund last year. Cuz of an annoying K-1 that always comes late, I have to file an extension every year, but she has been appropriately conservative in estimating the amount I should pay both the IRS and FTB just in case on Apr 15, making my refunds even more pleasant of a surprise lol. She's also helped me with my dad's tax returns. Thank you! P.S. I think I already alluded to this earlier, but to emphasize in this day and age of stupid inflation: her prices are very reasonable, at least based on what I just read chatGPT says I should expect for our return's degree of complexity. Shoot, does that mean if she reads this she will raise her rates? I hope not hehe

Stellar. If I can…read moreonly use one word to define the experience I received, it is stellar. Gill Tax Group (GTG) took me in last minute, thoroughly reviewed my returns after I had a hiccup with TurboTax and discovered that the TurboTax software did not flag the necessity to file in another state.* Had GTG not checked this and had I relied on TurboTax, I would have been subject to a review and possible full audit by not only the California Franchise Tax Board, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, but also the Internal Revenue Service. GTG cares and is very thorough. If they make a commitment to help, they have proven that be true. Trying to get through to TurboTax customer service was a nightmare and nobody understands what I'm asking or trying to do, notwithstanding the technical gliches they have. GTG understood came through and took over immediately and filed expeditiously--and I am very thankful. I cannot recommend this wonderful firm enough to others. * Had I opted for the "audit free protection" offered by TurboTax, it would likely have been denied because it only protects you in the State you file. TurboTax did not recognize that I needed to file a return in another state and therefore I would have l been denied the protection had I went that route if I were to be reviewed and audited. WTG GTG! Thank you for the rescue and peace of mind =)

At the time, we interviewed a few…read moreaccounting firms near the Irvine area, and Mike struck us most as professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and very responsive to our emails. One of the reasons for why we had switched from our previous accountant was the lack of communication. We also liked the fact that his father had been running the firm for a very long time and was knowledgeable in other areas we had questions about that Mike did not specialize in yet. We also appreciated that both answered our inquiries without nickle-and-diming everything, often at no charge for relatively small questions. During the years we have been with Weisz, our returns had been quickly prepared, and Mike always took the time to listen to our questions while we discussed topics like planning for subsequent years to maximize our taxable income, and -- on a personal level -- how both of our families were doing. My brother's family joined in the tax preparation a year later, and he has been with Mike ever since too. We have no regrets being with Mike.
