If I have an 11 AM appointment, and I arrive at 10:40 and then I am not seen until 10:38, imagine if you were a toddler, how you would react? We needed to get x-rays, the fact that it took an hour plus to get his x-rays, and the fact that the bedside manner of everyone except for the attending physician was pretty inhospitable, was aggravating, especially the woman at the front desk, who was the true definition of unwelcoming. The aggravation that I feel right now is that I basically would not recommend; if you were in a dire pinch maybe, but the sheerfact that it's the only x-ray option for children is ridiculous. My child came in with a bleeding, swelling head injury. They did not have ice. Thank God for Tatte, which we had to go to to get ice since they could not provide any. My kid needed acetaminophen and ice and instead they made us sit for over and hour in the waiting room or exam room filling out excessive amounts of paper work. There is 0 sense of urgency here. We took our daughter there a few weeks ago due to a bump at the underside of her left eye and waited over 3 hrs on a weekday. When we finally got to see the dr around 9:45pm, he basically made me feel stupid saying that nothing was wrong with her eye. He didn't even bother to touch her eye and basically did a visual check. He even made me get up and to "visually" see from his point of view saying yes she has dark circles but they "visually" look normal. I told him that there was a bump and he disregarded that. So I ended up leaving there angry because his observation was very poor, he didn't give any recommendation except to have a good night. We ended up going to another urgent care and the dr there, gave us a recommendation for an ophthalmologist, gave us instructions on how we can care for her eye until we see a specialist, and clearly said this looks like a chalazion. I get that it was a busy night but if you are getting PAID to be a dr. DO YOUR JOB RIGHT!!!!! Their job affects these small kids and their livelihood. Having a poor staff/ medical professional who doesn't take this seriously should be removed from this practice. read more

Pediatricians can see your sick kiddo in couple of hours. Have long hours. Wait time is ok - between 10-20 min, 30 min max but it is very rare. Drs and nurses are always willing to listen and address your concerns. The only down side is that sometimes they don't have proper tests (strep or Covid) during the busy season. Also, the wait time of test results are 24 or 48 hours which is long if you have a child with fever. So we once ended up going to the children hospital because results wait time was 48 hours. Overall is good service, reliable if you have mild fever or pain. read more

I took my son here April 10th because he fell. The service was quick and accurate. however, pm pediatrics stored my credit card information on their files and charged me twice more for visits I did not make and charges I did not authorize. I contacted the office and emailed multiple times and they have failed to reverse the charges. Because I tried so long to get them to reverse the charges, more than 180 days passed from the initial charge and my credit card company will no longer dispute the charge. Do not give this place your credit card as they do not have accurate record keeping and erroneously charge accounts, and then fail to rectify. read more

If the grinch ran an urgent care this would be it! Their website says open till midnight. We came about 5:15 and the woman at front desk said sorry were closing at 6 and can't take new people. I said we're flying tomorrow TO SEE HIS GRANDPARENTS FOR XMAS and think he has ear infection can you please just squeeze us in and she just shrugged her shoulders and said nothing I can do. I said we've tried everywhere else and you're only ones who are open do you know anyplace else we can go and she just shrugged her shoulders again and said can't help you. I asked if she could please at least ask one of the Dr's or nurses if they would be OK with doing it and she said no. Can't even fathom the level of indifference to a sick child on Xmas eve. Last night our 7-year-old daughter had nausea and vomiting and we freaked out (as we usually do). We arrived at PM in Rockville at 11:55pm , 5 minutes before they closed on a Sunday. The staff was so welcoming and told us we'd be able to see a doctor soon. Dr. Carlisle very patiently and respectfully examined our daughter and gave her a diagnosis. She explained everything about the diagnosis and tested our daughter for RSV, COVID, and the flu, just in case. Not once did she try to rush us out because of the time. We've been to PM Pediatrics in Rockville at least 6 other times in the past and we've only had the best experiences. Compared to the other urgent care facilities in the area, PM has by far exceeded our expectations. Once, PM found that our daughter had pneumonia after two other doctors in the area missed it. She was sick and getting sicker so after two doctors we finally visited PM and they caught the pneumonia. We are very lucky to live so close to PM's Rockville location and are blessed to have had so many good experiences there. Thank you Dr. Carlisle and team. read more

The time in between my arrival and being seen by the doctor was less than 10 minutes. Doctor was professional, fast, and kind. My grandkin was arrived there on a Saturday night around 11pm, and was seen quickly, diagnosed with Flu Type A, and prescribed medication immediately... everyone was helpful and friendly and we are grateful. read more

Prescriptions don't get called in as you are told you have to call back and ask them again to call it in and then wait again for the doctor to re-issue the prescription all while you have a sick child !!! The "M," in PM Pediatrics stands for morons. All we wanted is a simple same-day COVID test. This meant a call to a center in India to find a local provider. Next, a direction to set up a tele-health visit (for a nasal swab!). I created an account in my wife's name. The platform wouldn't allow us to make an appointment ion her name. Then, I created my own account. I couldn't create an appointment by adding my wife to my account. The program required that I call a tele-help number, which had me hear a recording, and then hung itself up. I then called their Rockville Maryland office. Alas, no help making an appointment there either. Based on this, I would stay far away from these people. read more

Went on a Saturday afternoon and the Doctor took precaution and sent urine test to also be checked at lab. Got call Monday and she's on antibiotics. The medical care is great there. We've been using them for several year's. They used to be very efficient at getting you in and out, especially when you have an appointment. Unfortunately lately their wait time has gotten really bad. I've been there 2 times in recent weeks with my kids and we've had to wait for almost an hour past our appointment time, just for the nurse to come in the room to take their vitals. It's taken us a full 2 hours to get out of there both times. The other night I saw 1 other patient in there at the time (this was the Germantown location) and there just appeared to be 3 employees there total (receptionist, 1 nurse, 1 doctor). A couple weeks ago at the Rockville location, there appears to be more medical staff, but still the same wait. Seems like urgent care should get you out of there faster. They're competing with the hospital ERs at that turnaround. read more

I have taken my son here twice. Both times we were seen fairly quickly and the receptionist, medical assistant and physician did a great job. This urgent care is excellent. It was highly recommended by a pediatric ER doc last summer after a bad experience at another urgent care. So now I wouldn't take my son anywhere else when we need urgent care. read more

TL;DR: AVOID! Horrible dismissive attitude from Dr. Slinker who pretended to X-ray my child when he did not. Goal seems to be to maximize profits by performing as little care as possible per visit. Do not go to this urgent care. We went for two pressing issues for my son -- a fever and hurt leg. They took his vitals and gave him Motrin, they did not test him for COVID/RSV/FLU etc until I pressed them. They also "gave him an x-ray" at my request for his leg (which they dismissed as body aches), which was in excruciating pain to the touch. During that x-ray Dr. Aaron Slinker was not gentle with my very distraught toddler's hurt leg making him super upset to the point that he threw up the Motrin they gave him and he just didn't attempt the second image. After it happened he was obviously annoyed and just dismissed us from the x-ray room. They then told me his leg was absolutely fine and nothing showed on the x-ray. I requested access to those images and when the nurse went to get the code for access SURPRISE one didn't exist. I later called the customer service live who showed NO RECORD OF AN X-RAY at his visit. The nurse was nice enough but the doctor was not nice to my sick child at all and super dismissive. I must add, we were the only patient in the facility at the time, so this was pure laziness. read more

I'm so pleased with this urgent care center. The nurse and doctor who treated my daughter were superb. They are very caring and that's not something I've encountered in other urgent care centers. I think it's really important that they are dedicated to pediatrics because the doctors at other urgent care centers are not pediatric doctors and nurses and didn't seem too confident about what they were doing when I've taken my daughter in past. The receptionist is the only reason this place gets 2 stars as she was very friendly. The nurse and doctor were extremely unprofessional, and not the type of people who should be working at a children's urgent care. They didn't smile, didn't explain anything to me or my daughter, and were very rough in their actions. The nurse was trying to swab my daughters nose to check for the flu and kept telling me that I wasn't holding her arms down the right way. Then the doctor became frustrated when she wasn't able to check my daughters ears because she was crying. She left the room and slammed the door behind her. Besides all of that, there was way too much waiting around and there was barely anyone there. Doesn't make sense. I will be looking for a new pediatric urgent care. read more

What a wonderful experience! We needed to bring our baby here during the weekend, and I was stressing about urgent care because I assumed t would be a horrendous wait. When I looked up PM Pediatrics, there was wait time information on their website, and also when I got there to check in on their iPad, it also estimated the wait. I handed over my insurance info and that was it. Also saw they had portable phone chargers which is convenient. The waiting room is so clean and there's two televisions playing kids shows. In the actual patient rooms, it is SPOTLESS and has a tv with premium baby and kid channels. Checking in and speaking with the super friendly NP took no greater than 5 minutes. After another short wait, the pediatrician came in to take a look and explained everything in an understandable, patient manner. They sent our daughter off with meds to start (so we didn't have to wait to get to the pharmacy) and we were on our way. Highly pleasant experience for worried mamas with sick kids! read more

Filled out the form, which was also super easy, and they called us back within a minute. 2: Really clean! 3: Super kid friendly. TVs, lollipops, stickers, and staff that engaged my crazy three year old while I tried to have the appt with my one year old. 4. Very friendly, understanding and knowledgeable staff. I loved every person I interacted with. 5. They can run labs right there! 6. They print out super clear diagnosis reports. I'll be back for sure. read more

I highly recommend PM Pediatrics for all your child's urgent needs! My daughter busted her lip open and we needed emergency treatment at 8pm!!! With all this covid19 going on we didn't want to take her to the emergency room and possibly expose her to something there. So after calling around we decided to come here and it was the best decision! The receptionist, medical assistant, and doctor (Dr.Sarah D) were all so friendly and efficient. We were under high stress and they made sure to greet us with friendly smiles and also explain everything so thoroughly. We were in and out in an hour after 2 stitches! Unbelievable. This place had a VERY long wait. Took a long time to get seen. I was here for a Covid-19 test.

Wow! Our pediatrician recommended we take our kids here instead of Righttime during off hours. Our daughter hurt her finger at a park this evening and we headed down. Made an appointment online on the way. We were in and out in 20 (!) minutes, including an X-ray. The place is so clean and has cool jungle themed decor. The receptionist, nurse and doctor all had phenomenal bedside manner! To top it off they gave us not only a lollipop for my daughter but 5 more for the rest of the kids who were waiting in the car. So in the end her finger had a tiny fracture and only needed buddy taping, but it was nice to figure that out in far less than the usual hour+ I hope that even as more people find out about PM Pediatrics, they are able to keep their lightning speed and great care! ***UPDATE*** My 12 year old son had what we thought was the flu so we drove down again to PM Pediatrics to get him tested. This time the wait was longer but the place is SO clean and the waiting room so large that it was a comfortable wait (45 min but hey it's flu season and we got there 20 min after they opened). Again, great doctors and nurses. Again a fantastic experience even though we were there a while longer. It turned out he had the flu so we left with a called in prescription to cvs plus a paper prescription for tamiflu in case cvs didn't have it. read more

My son fell and had a pretty good sized gash over his eye. I called PM and was advised that we could do a virtual appointment through the app. A NP came on the line right away, looked at the gash and recommended we go in because he'd probably need stitches. It was the last thing I wanted to do because of COVID, but she assured me everything would be bleached and clean, and she'd let them know to expect us. We arrived, were taken right back to a room and literally did not see another patient. Nurse came immediately, then the doc, had to wait for numbing cream to work, then stitched-up and out of there. Facility is colorful and clean. Cartoons in the exam room and they treated my son with TLC. Highly recommended! read more

Came to this urgent care over one we've used in the past on the recommendation of our pediatrician. Boy, were they right! Got us in super quickly. Doctor was super thorough and kind. All the nurses were so nice and competent. Front desk person was lovely and helpful, even allowing me some much needed coffee! We were in and out quickly but still felt we had been given plenty of time to discuss the confusing symptoms and possible diagnoses with the doctor.
