I don't think I've ever written a review for a park before, but it was that good! I came here with my baby and there are so many people of different languages and ages everywhere! The park is absolutely huge, with parking and public restrooms to boot! I loved how much grass there was to lay out, and the actual playground area itself is huge as well. Everybody was doing all of the activities and having so much fun.

One of my favorite parks in LA!! Love that you can reserve tennis and pickleball courts ahead of time. Large parking lot. Well lit at night. Go-to spot

**This rating is for the WeHo Arts Fair and Q-Con Event Overall: 4/5 Entertainment: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Operations: 4/5 Parking: 2/5 Entertainment: 5/5 There were so many vendors with unique merchandise all queer centered. I say if you are looking for a place to go, kill some time, and be distracted with some art in different media - this event was one to attend. It was free and A LOT to browse. Plus the separate building had a Queer-Con convention. I am not the biggest comicphile but I had a blast seeing the costumes and all the comics. Ambiance: 5/5 It was at a community center and the conference rooms made it easy to browse. The space isn't super big but spacious enough to feel welcomed and not crowded even with the tables that were laid out. There is a park next to the center which is perfect if one wants to take a break or a stroll during any of the events hosted at the center. Operations: 4/5 The event utilized two buildings and even the outdoor space. It felt organized and spacious - there was a clear flow to the fair. The tables were placed just perfect to allow plenty of space for groups to pass and interact with the vendors. The second building was close enough so it wasn't a hassle to bop around. Parking: 2/5 This was definitely the thorn of the event. The parking is very limited and not friendly unless you have a compact car. Some spaces are metered around the venue but WeHo isn't the friendliest with public parking. I was nervous my car would be scratched or hit ... Recommendations: I would have better signage so people knew where the event was for the Q-Con and even the time for all the programming that was happening. I saw it in my deep dive for pride events but it wasn't really advertised with WeHo pride or any of the neighboring prides.

But the second you actually spend time here, especially on a weekend, it turns into something completely different and honestly pretty disturbing. The park gets insanely packed, which already makes everything feel chaotic, but the real issue is the condition of the facilities. The restrooms are beyond unacceptable. Not just "oh it's a public park" bad, but genuinely shocking, like something that makes you stop and question how this is even allowed to stay open. I'm talking about conditions that feel neglected to the point where it's uncomfortable just being nearby, let alone going inside. I went into two different restrooms thinking maybe one was just unlucky... nope, both were equally disgusting. I'll be posting pictures because it honestly doesn't feel believable otherwise. It gives off this weird in-between vibe where you don't know if you're at a city park or some kind of neglected shelter space, and that's not something anyone should feel at a place like this. What really made it worse for me is walking into the recreation building with the basketball and volleyball courts and realizing it's the same story inside. Worn down, under-maintained, and just lacking any sense that the city is actually investing in it. Meanwhile, you literally have the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust right there being renovated and cared for, which just makes the contrast even more frustrating. How is that level of attention happening on one side, but the actual park people use daily feels ignored? It's honestly disappointing because this place has so much potential. The location alone should make it one of the best parks in LA, but instead it feels like it's being left behind. I hate to say it, but I probably won't be coming back. There are just too many other parks where you don't have to deal with this level of neglect.
