This park is so nice and clean! I love that it isn't over crowded and how Carrie, the park ranger greeted us. The playground is nice as well and gives kids a variety of things to do as well as getting on the swings. There is also an area for adults to do body weight exercises. read more

Its not bad, glad they didnt do away with their outdoor gym. I pulled up on my way to another park actually and ran into my old coworker so that was cool. Other than that its a nice spot off the main street with a small sand track and basically paid or permit parking. Typical for exclusive Beverly Hills sorry. Some guy was trying to Seinfeld my spot so I had to tell him you cant front end a space. That Seinfeld episode is like required reading as an adult. Well, gotta love La Cienega Park. Been passing and coming here since I was a little kid. Its become a little tourist trap somewhat. Me and my girl take a walk though here every few months. I like the fact that they keep the area clean and good for people to want to come here at the park. read more

It's hard to believe Beverly Hills would need a community park since I've been assuming that everybody with a house here must have their own private parks in their backyards. My deep level of insight comes from watching reruns of "The Beverly Hillbillies". After all, 'Californy' is the place we ought to be, so we loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly. Hills, that is. Swimmin' pools, movie stars. Actually Jamie W. and I were spending time here for a valid reason... We were waiting for our reservation at Lawry's up the street and figured we could get our steps in here since we spent most of the day on our arses driving from San Francisco. There's a jogging track around the perimeter which we circled several times, but probably of more interest are the three baseball diamonds, the two soccer fields, the tennis courts, and the children's playground. A great park to relax at. Parking can sometimes be a challenge in the immediate area but if you don't mind walking a few blocks then I can recommend a visit. It's on the small side but there are bathrooms here. Also some shady spots to sit in during the hotter days. read more

Solely based on kids play area. there are Sooooo many sand bees and even though it is a sand kids cannot be on a barefoot, because I don't know which one is female that has a sting... it isn't like 10bees, there were like 100s of them all over the play area. It's a fairly clean park and well patrolled. There's a playground for the kids and an outdoor gym. There are trees along the loop but I wish they'd plant more flowers to add some color. I made a reservation for a bbq once but later realized I probably didn't need to because nobody else was around. There are homeless who come through. I have seen security at this park at night. If you show up with an instrument or a long sharp object the rangers are quick to kick you out. Occasionally but not often there are events at this park such as outdoor movie screening and food trucks. read more

I love this park. It's great for so many things. The playground is the best. It has equipment for multiple ages from toddler to school age kids. It has swings, rockwall, baseball fields, concession stand with actual food, drinks and snacks. Vending machines that actually work. Tables, some with chess boards and benches throughout the park. It's great for taking a baby strollers or a going for a jog. I'm not sure if it has grills in the park but it would definitely be a good location to have a get-together with a large or small group. La Cienega Park is a public park and recreation area and the crown jewel of Beverly Hills athletic facilities. It has three baseball fields, jogging track, tennis courts and playgrounds. Moreover, it is well kept and safe. I go here to clear my thoughts, ponder on thy life, thy universe and to workout. As far as parking is concern, there is an ample of parking spot within and around the neighborhood. So it was easy. Park goers were friendly. LP is conveniently located just south of the intersection of Wilshire Blvd and La Cienega on LC. There's also a nice but small Starbucks I used to frequent after my workout at the Park. My favorite thing here is the free workout machines. It's great doing a gym type workout outside in a fun park. There's a nice baseball field and it's kept safe. It's not too big but gets the job done and is close to work for alot of people. Recommended Beverly Hills park. read more

Since the pandemic, this place has been my saving grace as far as where to eat my food. I live in Hollywood Hollywood hills and going over to West Hollywood for food has been a little bit of a nightmare. Usually when I do takeout, by the time I get home my food is cold. So as an alternative, I stumbled upon this park. There are several benches to sit on as well as a short cobblestone wall and if you get really lucky, the bleachers. The park patrol will yell at you if you don't wear your mask and there are people running around and sometimes kids playing baseball which makes great for people watching. Overall get your food from West Hollywood to go, bring it here and enjoy a "picnic". read more

This is my neighborhood park, located right off of La Cienega and Olympic Boulevard in Beverly Hills. Here they have two separate fields, where they played baseball and soccer games as well as the recreation center, barbecues, grassy hills, bathrooms, and picnic tables. There is a walking/running path that people use to do those things as well as walk their dogs. Dogs are allowed here as long as they are on leash. The park is a little old and is in need of An update but they will be doing that soon because they already started passing out flyers to ask us for our opinions and comments. There is very little parking and you have to park on the street so make sure you pay or meters or park on the permit side only but make sure it's during the day time only read more

Honestly I am not an expert on the role of the "park rangers" they are all friendly and willing to help all except this one older white, short in stature, corpulent female ranger. She is most definitely a buttinsky! She complains nonstop about EVERYTHING, making disparaging comments about fellow rangers, park staff, and visitors as if she is better than everyone! A pathetic example of a city employee. You can literally hear her inserting herself into ANY and EVERYTHING that goes on in park no matter the time of day. read more

I enjoy coming here in the mornings to jog. Parking is easy to find on the north side of the park (Gregory Way) and there is free parking at the structure across the street as well. Be aware that the parking on Gregory Way is only free anytime before 8AM or after 6PM. I start my morning workouts here at about 6AM; it's still a little dark and very few people jogging. If you decide to come this early I would be careful of your surroundings. Around 6:30AM, the sun is more visible and the park gets a little busier so I start to feel a little safer and I'll plug in my headphones. There are baseball fields and benches so after a good jog, it's nice to know there are open areas where I can do other exercises (stretching, yoga, push up, crunches, etc). Homeless people do linger in the area and I have been approached in the past, I usually just mind my own business and keep on jogging - they're harmless for the most part. read more

Came here early one morning while waiting for my mom to get her colon flushed at Optimal Health. What, TMI? I brought my dogs, which do not play nice with others so I was happy to notice that dogs were all kept on a leash here. Sat on a park bench right by the playground and caught up on some work on my laptop while I waited. This had me feeling like a pedophile, but I assure you I am not. At least Chris Hanson has not found me yet. I really shouldn't be joking like that. Anyway, some highlights, there is surprisingly a very fast and FREE wifi connection here. A very nice man told me that the closer you get to the main building the better the connection. Thanks City of Beverly Hills. There are public bathrooms, which are surprisingly very clean, homeless people free, and spacious. There is a track around the baseball field that said 3.2 rounds would get you up to a mile. There are also those workout "gym" machines that you will typically find seniors on. They look more like playground toys, but they are actually effective, unless you are a body builder or super flexed. All in all, it's a clean park and around 8:30AM it wasn't very loud or busy, so it's an A in my book. read more

It's a fine park, but not really special. At least to me. The park has two baseball fields, a running track (not the usual football field size, it winds around the baseball fields), grassy areas and picnic tables, plus a playground and community center. If you come during the day, you'll find old guys playing chess, a few people napping on the lawn, nannies gathered with kids at the playground and several people running on the track. The lawn space is fairly small, since most of the park is taken up by the baseball fields. The playground equipment is nice enough. For me, it's not as great as some other parks in town, but if you live in the area it's not a bad place to hang out on a nice afternoon. read more

A nice place to take a break and get some fresh air. I often will get a cup of Joe from Starbucks across the street and then come here and take a stroll around the park. Pretty clean ground. They have some playgrounds on the premises and some benches to relax. Seeing more people here with the pandemic. Its nice to see that this park is getting more use these days. I occasionally will run around the park just to get some exercise. read more

This is one of the three main parks in Beverly Hills. It is well kept and has a great number of kids play apparatuses and also fitness machines for adults. Clean washrooms, a very nice walking and running track and good baseball and soccer fields. read more

The only park with a track walking distance from my place and thus... my favorite! What can I say? I'm easy. They've got all the bases covered here with a baseball field, soccer field, community center, a couple of grassy areas, bleachers, restrooms, playground and sand for the little one, tables for the old folks playing chess, and most importantly for me, a nice, level, soft dirt, knee friendly track. Three times around will get you to a mile, so if you can stand the monotony, it's a great spot to quickly log a few miles with a nice warm up and cool down getting to and fro. Probably not as enjoyable as hitting some real trails out into the hills and woods but considering you're in the heart of the city and saving yourself a drive -- not to mention avoiding the dreaded sweat pit that is the gym -- in my book, it's a win-win all around. The park's pretty well lit at night, especially considering there's usually some sort of team sports goin' on, but if you're making your way all the around the track and you're solo and of the ladylike persuasion such as myself, I'd suggest getting your jog in before dusk. Call me crazy, but I prefer not to hurdle the homeless or flee creepy suspect characters while I run. Just sayin'. Worth noting, the Beverly Hills tennis courts are right across the street and a couple of coffee joints are relatively close as well if you need that extra jolt to keep you going. Baseball fields, soccer fields, a playground, a rec center, and a running trail all make for a park I'm more than happy to be walking distance from. The dirt trail surrounding the sports fields runs about 1/3 of a mile, and despite being a bit weary of breathing in excessive exhaust fumes as I'm huffing and puffing, I guess on a nice summer day, it's better than breathing in that chlorine and sweat mixture at your local gym. The soccer field across the street and the tennis center a block or so away also find me entertaining past visions of self-induced summer sweat seshs in 80 degree weather. Oh yes, I love torture. But, I must admit, my absolute favorite thing about this park is the scores of little old plaid-dressed men who gather on the grass each and every afternoon for some serious chess-o-rama tournament action. It's such a regular site to me now that if it ever stopped, I'd swear the world was coming to an end. But hey, I guess when you stop exercising everything else, you've always got your smarts. read more

Ok, let's do this thing! "You will work out today." This phrase was written on a sticky note attached to my front door as a gentle reminder to get my fitness on. So, after making the trek up to Runyon (in my car) and finally finding a parking spot (street sweeping on Mondays and Tuesdays ruin a fluid in and out), I do a little stretch and head up the hill. And then the unthinkable happens. The iPod runs out of battery. Should I just trudge on? No, this is my first time working out in a century, and I just can't fathom the idea of breaking a sweat without proper background beats. So, I turn around. Humph. Cut to later in the day, I am still wearing my workout clothes and found the sticky note conveniently stuck to the bottom of my sneaker (random, but a sign no less). Since I had remedied my song sitch, I had the ammo to enter into workout war. I had to return something at the Beverly Center and I remembered a cute little park close to Olympic and La Cienega, as I was not about to embark on another mission impossible for finding parking near Runyon at dusk. Parking around here is a breeze after 6, as the meters are no longer in effect and with the sun being out longer, I knew I could at least get a few laps in before night fell. I started with a light jog, wondering how many times I would have to circle the petite track to earn my "you've still got it" badge. Low and behold I come upon a sign that says 3.2 laps=1mile. 6.4 laps later I was huffing and puffing (what...it was my first day after a long lapse) but I felt good. It seemed like quite a short distance, but it made me feel alive again and there is plenty of entertainment (little league, families playing in the playground, etc.) to keep you going round and round if you are into that sort of thing. Not good for children. Entire playground is on sand and dirt. Your child will get filthy here. Also the slides and jungle gyms are subpar. My son barely payed attention to them. There are also sketchy characters lurking all over the park grounds (people sleeping on the grass, incoherent screaming etc). Feels more like Hollywood than Beverly Hills. The only positive is the baseball fields looked nice. read more

Came here friday night (8pm) for a run. There is a track, 3.2 laps = 1 mile. Walked/jogged the track with my friends who hadn't jogged in a long time. There is a baseball field, soccer, swings...didn't see a basketball court tho I don't know if this park gets crowded but there weren't too many people at night. It was getting dark but this park is well lit, plus you have an intersection with businesses providing you some light as well. Great park, would come again! read more

This park is pretty well lit at night. It has a jogging track and the exercise machines that use your body mass as counterweight. As long as you're in the groove, running around the track is a cinch. You may need to avoid random children that pay no attention and go around slower people. The machines are pretty cool - saw the concept a few years back in South America. Its not super tough and its definitely made for larger people. Also, there are a few water fountains and soda machines. read more

This is a great park! I decided to go running after work so I can enjoy the beautiful SoCal weather instead of torturing myself at the gym. There's a jogging trail you can following and take in the views of children playing on the swings, flying kites or playing. 3.2 laps = 1 mile Very safe. Lots of people around. I particularly enjoyed the aroma of fresh flowers as you run by certain areas. You definitely know it's Springtime. I wish the restrooms were a bit cleaner. read more

Awesome trail for a jog after work! It wasn't late, but it was dark, and I felt completely safe--the little loop trail was full of walkers and runners, and the baseball fields were brightly lit and full of kids. 3.2 laps equals one mile. If a three-mile run is just getting warmed up for you, this probably isn't your spot--you'll be dizzy in no time. But, if like me, you're more comfortable around two miles and looking to increase your distance slowly, this is such an easy place to train. Also an ideal location for those of us who live on the east side but work on the west side--wait out traffic on the way home with a stop in this little park. They have benches and a kid's play area, as well as something like an adult play/exercise area--the equipment looks like it's made by a jungle gym company, but it's shaped like it's in a gym--elliptical "machines" and seated presses and a few other pieces of "gym" equipment. I parked on Gregory Way, on the north side of the park, where there are meters and residential parking that allows for one-hour parking w/o a permit until 9 PM. There is also a little parking lot on this north side of the park, but it is staff and handicapped parking only. Metered parking on La Cienega, which I think is free starting at 6 PM. read more

The playground is pretty spacious and has different areas for kids of different ages. This is a great park I stumbled upon as I was taking a new route to work. It has outdoor workout equipment and a walking trail surrounding the park. I think 3.2 laps equals one mile. I work in Beverly Hills, so it's a great place to workout in the evening and avoid some traffic on the way home. I would highly recommend this place if you live and/or work in Beverly Hills and want to save cash on going to the gym. It's a park with a dirt track. Wow.... maybe some dirt gets on my shoes.. Oh no! Ha! I come here day and night. I prefer mornings or evenings. The park is well maintained and there is sometimes a police officer or two walking around. So it is secure. I have always felt safe here. I run around the track until I can't bare it any longer. Then veg out on the grass after I stretch. I can't complain. There are worse places in life. And this gets the job done. There is a friendly little mouse that I see sometimes scurring thru the bushes when I run at nite. And there are lots of pigeons during the day becos ppl like to feed them. That might be a deal breaker for you snobs. Less people at the park for me :) read more

I'm a new mom writing for other new moms or moms-to-be... I used to live down the street from this park until last week (moved out of the area to a house with a yard). This park saved my sanity! Being a very sleep deprived mother of a very energetic and easily bored baby, early mornings were particularly hard. The park saved me though since there were always so many things to amuse and delight my baby from 8 or 9 am on... from early morning joggers (many very friendly btw), to pigeons, to people walking their dogs, to other kids playing. This park made my job as a mom trying to entertain and stimulate her baby really easy. Moreover, there are plenty of other moms there to network with. Ahhhh I miss this park. Our yard is great. But it doesn't have the joggers or the pigeons! And the parks around our new area don't have anything going on in the mornings :-( read more

Well maintained and brightly lit in the evening, I think this park is great for families and quick jogs during the week. Note: If you park across the street be very careful crossing La Cienega Blvd. I've seen a few people almost get run over by cars speeding around the corner and trying to make the traffic light. read more

I have visited this park to eat lunch. I love how convenient it is to my work. It was a 15 minute walk to get here. I found a picnic bench to eat my salad but had to move to another bench since there were so many pigeons flying above me and hanging out on the grass near the bench. I felt like they either would poop on my head or attack me to get to my salad. Besides that, the park is cute and it was nice to see moms watching their kids play. I would come here again but make sure not to go near the pigeon gang again. read more
