There is a beautiful area that lies across the street from this trailhead. The problem is getting there. I cannot believe that in all these years (and I have been walking these trails since 2020) that no one has thought to create a small parking space across the street. It is a daunting walk facing oncoming traffic and people often jeer and honk, and Pleasanton isn't so pleasant. I just wish that there could be a little parking spot for at least two cars so that you wouldn't have to park at the Pleasanton Road trailhead across the street and walk all the way down there and then not to mention the uphill climb it takes just to get to the area once you're on that side. I'm sure by bike it is fine but when you are on foot like me, it is brutal, especially in this Texas heat and humidity. Please, San Antonio Parks and Recreation: improve the system on this trailhead so that I can return to my favorite spot someday. read more
