I booked a 2 room king suite for 5 of us (2 adults, 3 kids) and it was the perfect size to not feel crammed in a hotel room! We checked in about 5, and Hannah at the front desk was really kind and helpful and also made check in really quick. The lobby is really clean and well lit. Our kids used the pool area until around closing time, which was really clean and well kept. The breakfast Sunday morning had a really nice set up, a lot of options and employees keeping it clean at all times. I was really impressed by the breakfast. I'd definitely stay here again next time we fly out of St. Louis!

Everything was pitch black. I texted the customer service number and was told there was "an outage in the area" but the parking lot next door had lights on. The front desk staff was so nice, letting us know what places were open for food (where to avoid) and the time that Walmart closed (needed to grab some items). Got to our room and it was clean, and cool. We had a room close to the interstate that was pretty loud, curtains that would not close all the way, which meant a lot of light was coming in and the bathroom was tiny. Beds were super comfy. The room has a microwave and fridge, a nice sized closed, dresser drawers. Lots of plugs for devices as well as usb chargers on the alarm clock. Woke up Tuesday and headed to breakfast. They had yogurt, packets of instant oatmeal, cereal, waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, muffins, bread, bagels, cinnamon raising bread. Had some breakfast and headed out for the day. Wasn't gone long, came back and decided to go to the pool. The pool is small but we had it to ourselves because there was NO SHADE. They have tables but no trees, no awnings etc. The maintenance person came out and said they had blown away in a tornado and that corporate had not given money to replace them. We didn't stay long because it was so hot. Went to the nightly kickback. They had popcorn popped, pretzels, chips and tortilla chips with nacho cheese. The soda machine is was available and it was nice to be able to get ice and cold water for our water bottles. On Wednesday we checked out and I asked if they could store our luggage while we were sight seeing as we had an SUV which did not have a luggage cover on it and I did not want the car getting broken into. They stored it for us. Came back later in the day to pick it up and had no issues. All the staff I encountered here were friendly and helpful. This was my first time at a Pear Tree Inn (Drury's budget hotel) and I enjoyed it. I would stay at this location or any other one of this brand in the future (sadly they are not where I live).

I was sent here by my company for a 6wk stay. The night I arrived they had given away my…read morereservation and had no rooms available leaving me to call my boss at ten at night waking him up to reserve me another room at a different hotel at comfort inn. Had I only been lucky enough to stay there. So by time I was actually allowed into my reserved room all the 150$ worth of food I'd brought had been spoiled and had to throw away. Night three I was accosted in the parking lot and asked if I do drugs or wanted to have sex from one of the residents. When I told the manager Stephanie Bean about this I asked to be moved to a smoking room so I didn't have to be outside, even though I detest smoking inside and have everything I own smell as horrible as this smoking floor does, she acted like I was bothering her! So I took the day off work for the time to move floors and never heard from anyone again that day until late that night around 8pm I called the pm clerk and he personally went and cleaned one for me and helped me move. He is the only one who is even kind to me here. Unfortunately they put me below elephants bc all I can hear is their stomping around and the sound of the interstate five feet from the window and the sound from the tv where the speakers are blow to the point you can't make out the voices. On night five my car was broken into stealing money clothes chargers shoes...anything worth stealing was gone! When I brought all this to the manager's attention she told me if I'm having so many problems that I should just leave! Never trying to be nice or hospitable, turns everything around like it was my fault. As if I'd like all the miscreants cat calling me everytime I leave my room. She and another clerk started being condescending and ridiculing me to the point I was frustrated and angry. I've contacted the hotel about this and have heard nothing back. Half the staff lives here and instead of being at the desk are outside smoking half the time leaving the phone by the desk making you call them on the phone and when u dial guest service you see them outside the front door smoking and they tell you they'll be in in a while and you stand there for 15 minutes with your dinner getting cold while they finish they're smoke as if customer service doesn't exist. Simply put this is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed. From the rude and degratory employees to lack of compassion to someone who is robbed and accosted on their promises to the awful smells and paper thin walls and beds. I work 13 hr shifts to come here and listen to the sounds of semi's and elephants. I contacting my own company and requesting to be moved to a different hotel. I cannot imagine being stuck here for another 5wks. One was enough to know this is more like a crack house than a hotel!

The bed pillows are the size of couch pillows which is probably why they leave 5 on the bed. Impossible to sleep on. The worst part is the light from the parking lot which doesn't allow any sleep. They put a curtain on the left side by the bed to stop light but not the right, which wouldn't be so bad except there is a decorative mirror that reflects all the light throughout the room. I have stacked my suitcases on the heater in the attempt to help the curtain but still seems like it is daylight in here at midnight. Giving it two stars is on the generous side.

We didn't have a bad experience per se, but the Hampton next door is DEFINITELY nicer. The staff were such a mixed bag. The lady who checked us in was super friendly, but the guy who was bald and wearing a mask was extremely rude when we went to check out. He didn't even let us get a word in! The room was modern and decently clean, besides a pillow with a dried blood droplet on it. Yuck! Luckily, the front desk lady switched the pillow out for us. There is Netflix and Prime Video on the TV's, so that's a plus! Also, free breakfast, but it was not very good. The convenient location makes this a 3 star hotel, or else I would have given 2, quite frankly. For $250 a night, the staff should be nicer
