Had a home built in the Homestead Acres development by Gerald Musser approximately two and a half…read moreyears ago. It's a very nice house that sits up on a hill but the driveway is so steep that it can't be used for anything except to drive right into the garage and when you do that all you see is the ceiling as you pull in because your pointing practically straight up in the air as you get to the garage. You can't park in the driveway or wash you car in it either. It's totally ridiculous, dangerous and a blatant rip-off. We looked at an already built home a few doors down that was for sale but didn't purchase it because that driveway was very steep. When Musser did a lot walk around with us we stated that we DID NOT want a driveway as steep as the one on the house that we previously looked at. Musser adamantly said,"no worries it will never be like that". He was right. It's worse! If there's snow or ice on it you can't clean it or down you'll go, literally. And of course you can't drive up or down on it when it snows since it can't be cleaned. I think that when the neighbors across the street know that I'll be coming out to attempt snow or ice removal they get together to watch the show and place their bets to see how long it takes for me to go sliding down the driveway on my butt. It's so bad and sad because our elderly parents and some of our older friends can't walk up it. Bottom line, it affects the value of our home and all kidding aside its dangerous. We attempted to contact Musser but we never heard back from him. I guess in a way it's partially my fault for not getting it in writing and holding him to his word. Let's face it I screwed up I trusted him.

The cabinetry, countertops, and backsplash tile were installed with incredible precision. Every detail -- from grout lines to trim work -- is clean and well executed. The bathroom is equally impressive. The tile work is beautiful and perfectly aligned. Nothing looks rushed -- everything was done right. We also had a few new windows installed and new flooring throughout the house. The floors are level and seamless, and the window installation was clearly done with care and attention to insulation and finishing details. My original rendering was missing, and what I thought would be a revised rendering turned into a multi week blueprint process instead. After multiple revisions, materials were delivered on Nov. 5th and full payment was required. Construction started on November 7th and the crew had most of the building up in about three days, however it was not complete, it was missing sections of siding and a ceiling hatch. I was initially told the building was finished, which was not true. Only after pushing back did I learn the crew had notes stating the building couldn't be completed, but no one caught or communicated this. The siding was fixed about a week later, but the ceiling hatch took three more weeks. I was told I could choose the hatch location, which did not happen. I requested the final inspection be delayed until the project was fully complete, but it still hasn't been scheduled. Multiple voicemails went unanswered for days. When I finally spoke with the office, I was told an inspection wasn't needed because the crew "did some" inspection of it and with my confirmation it could be used. This directly contradicted what the installers told me on-site. I was then told by this employee that she would have to speak to her manager, and they would call my back when they were able to schedule it. I will also add I was also told by the same employee my garage door install was scheduled for a specific date. When no one showed up, the garage door company confirmed Pioneer never scheduled it. It's currently EOD January 12 and this project still has unresolved issues, trash left on-site, and no final inspection. Poor communication, lack of follow through, and repeated misinformation made this a very disappointing experience. Update: After posting this review, communication temporarily improved and Will reached out stating the remaining issues would be addressed. However, timelines were again missed. Will informed me that the $1,000 site cleanup fee would be waived as a courtesy due to the delays and inconvenience. While waiting on replacement windows, I noticed I had missed a call from the owner of PPB. I returned his call, recorded the conversation. This call followed my BBB complaint, and the tone of the discussion felt very unprofessional and concerning. We had bought a new (to us) home,…read moreand since we both love to cook we wanted to replace the godawful green laminate countertops that were in the house when we bought it. We went to Home Depot and Lowes and inquired about it, but then heard some horror stories regarding them, and on a walk one night with our dog, saw a GoodFellas truck/van in front of someone's house and looked them up and went out to look at some pieces. First of all, if you've only used HD/Lowe's as your baseline for granite, seeing an actual granite slab in person is way different than seeing a 2x2 inch sample square. There is so much variation in the slabs, and so much to take into account that a big box store just can't show you. Second of all, the staff here were second to none, for the most part. On our first visit a wonderful woman helped guide us through the granite warehouse and we selected some pieces we liked. After getting home, and thinking about it, my better half decided she wanted to re-do the cabinets first and then go back and pick out some granite. So we waited a few months, when we went back, we were helped by a gentleman(who I believe is the owner) and was also super helpful , friendly, etc. Very great to deal with. So, we picked out piece of granite(snowflakes), and we set up a day to have someone come measure for the install. The measuring was way different than I expected. A goodfellas van pulled up a very friendly gentleman came to the house, removed all the backsplash that was there and literally build the wooden templates for our new countertops when he was there. Took about 1.5 hours total but you could tell he knew what he was doing and let me make some alterations/changes to some counter depths and overhangs as we went. Very awesome guy! Now the part you may not realize... when you are having this stuff installed, you need to have the stove/range unhooked and out so they can install the new tops and you need to have the plumbing unhooked. THis was all explained to us, but it's something that you may not be prepared for when you go to buy the countertops. NOW, the only negative part of our experience was the actual install. We had our templates built and were told that we would get a call with the install date. A few days go by and we haven't heard anything, so we decided to call. We were told we were on schedule for a certain date... that was only a couple days away. WE both work, so we wound up using some half vac days to make sure we were home. Install was supposed to start at noon. No one arrived at our house until after 2:30. We called and were told that they had gotten a late start and their first job took a lot longer than expected. Hey that's fine, it's an install and you never know what to expect, but maybe call the customer who's waiting for the install? We have to corral our pets and make sure someone is home. It was a waste of our time and honestly it was the worst part of the install. I had to run to work for the evening, so I have no critique of the install itself, but I'm told the guys were awesome, friendly and did an awesome job of installing and cleaning up. The pictures speak for themselves, the granite is gorgeous and our kitchen looks 100000% better than it ever had before. The only downside of the whole experience was no one letting us know our install time was moved back.
