Couldn't be happier with the service I received this week from Bettendorf Dental. I've been going…read moreto this office since 1981 when Dr. Dahl owned it. Dr. Nouramed is the new owner and she is wonderful. She really goes out of her way for her patients. I woke up Monday with a broken tooth, during a pandemic and the day after a Derecho went through our area downing power lines and cutting electricity to homes and offices throughout the area. I tried calling the office and couldn't get through so I went to their Facebook page, where I found a notice that they were closed due to the power outage, I posted asking if they would open later if they got power back. Dr. N messaged me saying that not only were they without power, but the phone lines at the office also were not working, so she gave mer her cell phone number so I could call her. Since I wasn't having pain, we agreed that I could wait and see if they would get power back soon. She kindly kept me updated throughout the next few days whenever she got news from the power company. As soon as the power came back in the office (and I think it was within minutes of them getting power back) she went to the office to check the schedule, messaged me and asked if could come in the following morning. I arrived and messaged her that I was in my car (due to the pandemic they were asking that patients wait in their car to be shown in when they were ready). When I entered I was informed that due to the pandemic they were using whole office air purifiers and had instituted extra cleaning and were using a special sanitizing spray in the rooms between patients. Since my procedure was going to be a longer one, a portable air purifier was brought into my room so that the air was being purified doubly. It was very reassuring to know that they took this extra step to not only protect me as I would be there for a long time with my mouth open, but also the rest of the people in the office, in case I was contagious. Dr. N and her assistant were very reassuring during the entire procedure. They offered me several different treatment options and explained cost and pros and cons of the different options. This is not the first time Dr. N has gone out of her way for me. A couple of years ago, I had a tooth go bad and needed a root canal. Dr. N came into the office on a Sunday to open up my tooth and give me some relief from the pain. The staff at this office is the friendliest around and are all very professional. They cater to people who are scared of dentists. I've heard them encourage frightened children and their chairside manner is always encouraging and reassuring. When Dr. N has to administer local anesthesia, the assistant has a reassuring hand on you shoulder while Dr. N explains what she is doing as she does it, when to expect a "pinch" and she counts to let you know it will only take a few seconds before the "pinch" subsides. I highly recommend this office.

Two insurance companies, only billed one after at least 6 times if calling. Their staff obviously…read moredoes not know how to do this. Sent to collections because they don't j ow how to do their job. The dentist also "repaired" teeth that had no problems. I'd give them 0 stars if possible.

My 86 year dad recently had a tooth break away, leaving only the root. The dentist that he had been…read moregoing to suddenly left, so dad didn't have a dentist. He let it go for a week or so, and, then it started to cause him pain. The pain escalated pretty quickly and it was spreading. This was on a Monday evening when it started to look to me like it might be getting infected. I persuaded him to go to the ER that night. I also got online to see what dentist we could call. No one had after hours but Midwest Dentistry had early hours and I left a message explaining the problem and requesting they call us in the morning and let us know if we could come to them on Tuesday morning. We did go to the ER Monday night and an infection was confirmed. He was given an antibiotic and some pain meds to get him through the night. Tuesday morning Midwest Dental called us and said they could see him right away. I know this is a long review, but I felt a little background was needed. Anyway, my parents and I were VERY impressed with Dr Sheezan and his staff. The receptionist, Robin, I think and Nicole, the doctors assistant were so helpful and pleasant. They answered all of our questions. Dr Sheezan was able to pull the remainder of the tooth and give my dad much relief. They accepted him into their services because of our emergency and they offered continuing services to my dad. Thank you Midwest Dental in Sterling, IL for giving us some of the greatest service I could ever imagine to my dad and for making him, my mom and I so relieved to have his tooth taken care of even though we'd never been there before. I would give the doctor and all of his staff 10 stars if I could! They all certainly know how to go above and beyond for patients and their families.
