Hiking trail
Aliyah W.

My family absolutely loves Pleasant Ridge Park! If you have a dog that is good off-leash, this is the place to go. There is a giant field for dogs to run (nothing here is fenced, hence why your dog needs to be good off-leash). There is also hiking trails that are sort of hidden. When we first started going, we had found the access trail by accident. Now, there are signs that map out the trails. It's great place to get lost in and you don't have to travel far (like going to STL).

I have no idea when this place opened bc I found it by complete accident while looking at the map…read moreof Mascoutah. This place is gigantic with multiple smaller areas to separate dogs. Very well maintained with plenty of room to spread out. Multiple water spickets throughout the park. The fence is very nice and has chicken wire at the bottom so smaller dogs can't get out. Clean restrooms right next to the park. Beautiful grass, multiple water dishes, dog waste stations (bags), toys, a pavilion to sit under while you dog enjoys itself. We only started going here this week and we are yet to see anyone else here. Look forward to using this place for years to come.

He did so good until a big dog came up and started biting him it wasn't vicious or anything it was playing but my dog didn't understand we kept pulling him away and my dog kept backing up because he was afraid and the dog kept following this is at no fault of the dog they don't completely understand as we do but the owner was not paying attention to his dog at all I kept looking at him hoping he would get his dog and he was preoccupied on his phone. The dog continued to follow and jump on me and my dog so I tried petting him to calm him down and he starting biting my arm again playfully but still kinda hurt which it doesn't bother me at all they are dogs and I love dogs but this guy should have been watching his dog. Other than that everyone was really nice and my dog loved playing with other dogs! I didn't get many pictures he was too excited but there are 3 sections that you can go into!

Awful place! The…read moreowner, Wayne, approached us (my husband, myself, + our two dogs) for our "temperament test" (meet + greet) with his own two dogs OFF LEASH! I could not believe that someone who works with dogs would do that! He took one look at our boys + said NO, we were not welcome. Our dogs are mixed breed, + one of those breeds is pit bull. We told him that our boys are super sweet, not aggressive at all, + he told us that we don't understand pit bulls. I understand that there are aggressive pit bulls in the world; however, ANY dog can be aggressive under the right circumstances. Nowhere on the website does it list which breeds are not allowed, so we didn't know. Huge waste of everyone's time + energy. Overall, Wayne was very rude + unprofessional. Definitely would not pay the exorbitant prices of a membership here - IF your dogs are even accepted into the park!

The guy who runs the place (Uncle Wayne) is a card with his own fan club. This place used to be a treecourt swimming pool back in the day. I've been going here since the early 60s. It backs up to Simpson Lake and is a very relaxing place to go.
