He charged me $180, told me the drive was corrupt, and told me I had to mail my hard drive to a data recovery place in Georgia for $600 if I wanted my pictures back. I was distraught! Robert recovered my data and made me a thumb drive in a few hours for a 1/3 of the cost with no problems at all. I am very impressed with his quick turnaround and knowledge about data recovery! I thought this was finally the time we could watch tv but because of HelloTech's actions, I have to wait 2 EXTRA DAYS just to get my tv up. The mount is already up because I've sent them pictures of it when they was supposed to come. They couldn't do one simple job yet I have to deal with it because of their actions & I paid an extra $80 to have it put up because I obviously can't do it myself & I have nobody else to help me! Thanks for taking my money & not do the job you was supposed to do! He creates computer problems and then takes your money and runs when he's not willing to come back on site to fix them!! Microsoft had warned that Windows 10 would not be able to work with Windows 7 so we called this guy to help with the transition. He said that our computers should be fine to make this transition. However, he did his "cleaning" of the computers and found "infections". The next day, AFTER his repair, both of the computers started shutting down by themselves!! (That wasn't happening before he got there) We called him the day after to fix them and he came out and fixed the 1st computer that started shutting down. But then that same day the 2nd computer started shutting down just like the other. We called him again, he blamed it on a banking software. So we waited until our bank contact got back from vacation, checked with the bank and they said that wasn't possible! (if he knew what he was doing he would know that) Contacted him on a Friday and he said that he would call me back to set up a time to come out to the office on Monday. Never heard from him! So, the owner of the business called him late Monday afternoon and he kept wanting to repair from a "remote" service. (We do not want to allow remote access) He HUNG UP the phone and texted and I quote "Your signature in the second box at the bottom of the work order completes the job to your satisfaction. Everything worked fine before we left that day. I'm sorry but as it states on the invoice there is no warranty." Really!!! No Warranty!! He will ask you to sign BEFORE completes the work and tells you there is no warranty!!
