Of course the movie we wanted to see during Spring Break was not showing at the Geneva Theater in downtown Lake Geneva, but I went online and found this place. It's about 20 minutes away, in Burlington, Wisconsin, and an interesting drive through farm country. The theater looks deserted on the outside, but it's rather nice inside, with 4 or 5 screens and very comfortable seats. And the concessions are MUCH cheaper than we pay in Chicago! Good popcorn. We found easy parking on the street in front, and also discovered a parking lot in the back. We would definitely come here again. read more

The food and tickets were very cheap the building has some nice history and the Mario movie was very good five stars.

Came here with the family on a Saturday, and tickets were $3 each which was amazing, for a small theater in my home town it was pretty nice, I love how they serve you food during the movie. Only complaint was one of the older workers (white dude, middle age) was talking to another worker while we were grabbing our drinks and I overheard him talking about a movie and he said "I'm not being racist but" and went on to say some other stuff about the black main character in the movie. I didn't hear much of it because I was with my kids, but I'm glad i didn't. Anyways, good service, the chairs are comfortable. Overall a 4/5 great experience. read more

Vintage. Yes. New seats. Yes. Clean. Yes. Lots of chain places to see a flick. Most are blah blah boring. Not this place. It has the look, feel and charm of the small town theaters we went to as kids. Very reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Super comfortable seating. All good. We have seen quite a few movies here and always enjoy ourselves. Today is straight outta Compton. Been looking forward to it as I am a huge chronic fan (dre). Saw mission implausible here a week ago and many others in the past few years. If you are in Burlington it's around the corner from one of the best coffee houses in SE Wisconsin. Have a cuppa cuppa and enjoy a flick. Oh and lots of free parking in the back. read more

texts received in my phone: "you can park in the tru value parking lot across the street. Don't get scared when you see the front of the theater." (You can btw park in the truvalue lot. apparently they also show movies out there in the summer.) After an exhaustive search of movie venues in the 5 county area, I determined that this little grand-dame-of-a-theater-waiting-to-reclaim-its-past-glory in the far reaches of Racine county was the only place that had the movie we wanted to see (i.e. "Molly's game") available for an early afternoon showing. And while between the dilapidated side marquee sign, small empty storefront area and sign mentioning the place doubled as a community church on Sunday mornings it did give me pause at first glance, I kind of loved this theater! inside was much nicer and more modern than the outside would have you believe. our movie theater was quite small and although the seats weren't quite "dreamloungers" they were leather, had drink holders, and rocked. Great other things about this theater: -it was cheaper than most other places - $6.75 for the matinee -The famous "Fred's burgers" is a couple blocks away within walking distance. -Concessions were also a great deal. They had candy ranging from .50 to $3.50, a small popcorn was either $3.75 or 4.75, and they offered more substantial offerings like whole pizzas delivered to your seat, nachos, pretzels, and even a dinner and movie option (including a Friday fish fry). Can I just lastly give a huge shout out to the guys working at this place? They were so friendly and sincere! I really Dont think any of the huge megaplex theater complexes can compare with that sort of small town friendliness. It made us want to visit this theater again for that reason alone. About 45 min Southwest from downtown Milwaukee, it was worth the extra drive! read more

Absolutely horrible. Management does not remove guests that are creating distractions throughout the entire movie. Most should have not been there in the first place due to their age. I know there are not a ton of local theatres for those staying in Lake Geneva, but don't waste your time coming to this location. Worst. Theatre. Experience. Ever. read more

Wanna get away to comfy seats in and old time theatre? Then this the place. Nostalgia meets modern with classic theatre looks on walls and ceilings with the benefit of full size screens and sound. The staff is very friendly and engaging - true movie lovers. Snacks are expected but you can get real food here like pizza, pannini and Friday fish fry. This movie theater is fairly run down, but has an old school family friendly vibe to it. Movie tickets are reasonably priced and the "concession" stand is an understatement. They serve quite a few out of the box options such as a cod fish dinner to a daily featured Belgium waffle. My only complaint about this theater is that they don't always have a large selection of new releases. If you get there early make sure to check which theater you will be in. They change theaters last minute sometimes. read more

Showed up at 6:40 for 7:00 showing of "IT" and hit the concession stand for a beer. I'm sorry but management is not on the premises and we can't serve alcohol. Took our seat and patiently waited until 7:15 for movie start as management showed at 7:05 to say they were holding the movie so more folks could be packed in. I'm sorry, why punish the folks who show up early?? Start the movie on time or at least show up early enough to open the bar. On the plus side, seats are nice and picture and sound are good. read more

It appears old on the outside but great on the inside. Abit like a maze but great pricing, updated theaters, a variety of snacks which I appreciate...not just candy!they even serve fish dinner on friday!? Haven't tried it yet. Great for date night or a visit with the kids. read more

This is a nice hidden gem. Tickets are reasonably priced and the seats are comfy. Wish the seats were a little more of a stadium setup as you have to look up at the screen, but sound and picture quality was good and the staff is friendly. read more

Great theater! On Christmas we usually go to Marcus but they now have assigned seating so went to the Plaza theater instead. It was 18.00 at Plaza instead of 32.00 at Marcus and we sat where ever we wanted. Our new tradition is to go to the Plaza from now on. Love the small town charm. read more

This place is vintage with comfortable chairs, free refil on popcorn, great staff that is friendly and wonderful to talk with. We got to the theater 45 min early than our show wil start and for our two young boys not to be bored the front desk staff gave them legos to play with which was amazing. Theater is very clean and uncluttered. The staff is very friendly. But, best of all the seats are beyond comfortable! The movies that I have seen are very clear and the sound track is amazing too! I was pleasantly surprised with this theater. It doesn't look like much from the outside (appears outdated), however, there had been a recent remodel. The seats are better than most theaters. I'm not a fan of leather seating, but these are comfy. Tickets are affordable as well as concessions. Our snacks weren't the tastiest (popcorn & pretzel with cheese), but they were still edible. Staff is friendly. I was a little annoyed with the gal that was working behind the snack counter. She was constantly touching her hair and then would grab the snacks. No hand washing or sanitizer was used after messing around with her hair. Overall, I would probably return again based on affordability and comfort. read more
