High Country Steak & Ale restaurant is part of the Grande Cache Hotel…read more The restaurant, although could be a high end restaurant, has a bit of a rustic touch to it - the rustic touch to the place definitely is great, as Grande Cache is a very wooded and natural town. The dish I ate was the Cajun chicken with ribs, served with a warm potato salad (but I asked for fries, which were homemade) and a side of coleslaw. I also got a Caesar salad and a Blue Moon white beer. And for desert, I had a chocolate and caramel cake. The service was welcoming and professional, and food was served quickly. As I sat by the window, folks were enjoying the yard with Adirondack chairs and a fireplace. If you are in town and want good foods for a meal, definitely a very good place to go to!!
