HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I called and asked if they had the specific heel in stock only to arrive to heel and cuff not attached so I had to wait for them to be shipped to me because they need to attach it with the band ......ONLY to receive A huge slice in one of the heels Plastic band that is holding the cuff and heel together, messy ass glue, horrible stitching Velcro bands going opposite ways, I MEAN HORRIBLE! I called and let him know and I returned the next day so he can have them fixed .....INCONVENIENT! When I come back for the fixed shoes I see they still look like shit only the band is not sliced no, it's being held together my plastic stitched upon another piece of plastic the messy Glue is all over still,the cuffs are still going opposite ways, the plastic bands are different lengths, the shoes look like shit DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE $252 I PAID!! When I said I wasn't going to take the shoes home and I wanted a refund I was turned down and only given the option to take half the money and take the shoes as well (I wasn't even surprised that he didn't want to keep the shoes considering he wouldn't be able to sell them in the store because they look so bad!!!!) I went back-and-forth w/ him because I wanted my full refund I mean look at the pictures I think I deserve it! He refused so I took those crappy shoes that I'm embarrassed to even wear! I'm so disappointed and sad I was so excited for my shoes NEVER AGAIN. I would suggest MAYAS shoes of Hollywood down the street I wish I would've went in there first and purchased the shoes there where they are perfectly attached to the cuff without a messy glue situation, the cuffs are not going opposite opposite ways and the stitching is perfect not some sorry ass school project looking mess!! Playmates has long been in my standard find costume location.....It has the widest selection of Leg Avenue packaged costumes, and most importantly.....you can try them on, accessories and all here! Normally, I go here, try everything on, then go elsewhere to purchase. .....why you ask? Well, none of these costumes are in the package any longer, which I have found means they are damaged......I actually tried a costume on that had the needle in it from where someone sewed the seam back together...... Playmates used to be my one-stop whore shop...Now it's just an empty exo-skeleton of the glory hole it used to be. i went in today to get an emergency pair of pasties ;) and there wasn't even anyone in the store to help me. (they used to be in "search for yourself" drawers but now they're behind a glass case). i circled up and down the cluttered aisles, stuffed with yellowed, dusty, out-of-date stripper clothes, looking for someone that worked there. My friend and I just started a intro to pole dancing workshop and we were looking for "stripper shoes." We came across this store because we heard that there were a lot of options for shoes along Hollywood Blvd. We were greeted by Ali, and when we told him what we were looking for, he immediately started looking around his store for shoes we might like. He gave us helpful tips as well. In the end, I ended up with two pairs of shoes, one which was free! My friend also got a discount because hers was the floor model. The store has a good selection and the staff was friendly but oh my god they are so unclean! My friend and I went there for some shoes and a few other items. We both have service dogs and I take mine everywhere. The store has a cat there, which is fine and the cat was chill BUT when we left and I checked my dog, there were a shit ton of fleas on him! He had no fleas before and when I got home I went over him and my friends dog with the flea comb and I swear there were more than 20 fleas in total.. In addition, there was cat poop in various places on the floor of the store. I am beyond furious that I was there not even 20 minutes and ended up with a circus of fleas! read more

This store was recently bought out I believe. I produce a web series that requires costuming so I frequently need to buy shoes for women. A few of the places on Hollywood Blvd annoyed or angered me so I ended up here and they were very helpful when I needed to figure out what does I needed. The most annoying thing about most of these places is that they are quick to yell at you for taking photos of the shoes with signs plastered everywhere. The other places lost my business immediately because they wouldn't budge on that policy. Sorry, but I have a business to run and need to coordinate with other people to make certain decisions. In this case, it is to take a photo and send to my wardrobe dept to make sure I don't spend money on non-returnable shoes. Anyway, these guys helped a lot.
