Visited Tres Palmas to buy a body board. They had many in stock of varying degrees of quality. I…read moreopted for a lower quality board due to the lower price coupled with the fact that we were only going to use it for a few days and then give it away. A worker helped me select a board that was reasonably priced, but of good quality. As he was ringing me up, he threw in a $10 jar of Sex Wax that really isn't needed for body boards. It might be useable on higher end boards, but not styrofoam boards such as the one I purchased. I should've handed the jar back to him, but I was intrigued by it. After I got back to my apartment, I watched a YouTube video on waxing a body board and it's super not necessary. They also have an excellent selection of new and retro skateboards. So cool! Anyway, the merchandise sold here is excellent and the staff is friendly.

This location was a little more spacious than the other one and filled with all sorts of cool surf apparel. T-shirts (long and short sleeve), swimsuits(men's and women's), shoes, skateboard accessories, surf boards ..... a surf lovers paradise! Staff here were really friendly and took great care of us. Even tried to help us find a different size of a shirt we were looking for. Prices are a little bit more on the pricy side, but think of this as a really nice Surf Shop Boutique. Store is well organized and clean. Things are displayed well and it's easy to shop for stuff. I'd return here for sure. Check them out!

Would have appreciated a few less F words in their conversations with other patrons. Never been to PR to surf before so received some quick tips (avoid the anemone's!) and off we went to Surfers beach. You have to drive down there, so not exactly "on the water" but very close. You could walk it if you wanted to. Probably should have asked for more details because there are two main places to "launch" (basically west or east of the point) and the waves are different. Lots of current that you have to fight initially to get out to deeper water. Overall, the shop provided good / quick service and the price for the day was $33 so happy with the choice.

I called ahead to arrange surf lessons for my daughter and I. They did a good job and the surf was good for beginners. Further out, I saw experienced surfers catching big waves. So, there's that level too. The shop is small. But, it has a lot of unique items. They also have a free sunscreen dispenser and water. Overall: Recommended if you want to surf.
