The sales associate was warm and friendly and noticed bf's Cuban accent immediately. She asked us about our backgrounds (it is weird to some people to see an Asian girl speaking Spanish in a Cuban accent). Best of all, everything was very affordable. I was curious about the store and did a little research about the company before writing this review. Turns out, everything is designed in-house and produced by a team in Bali. Valija's history and design process are depicted on their website. I'm so pumped we supported this women-owned business and excited to revisit next time I'm in Puerto Rico (or Miami - they have locations there as well!).
