If you are on the island I highly recommend stopping here! We Just visited Playa Corona after several years. Was very happy to see the owners were still in business after hurricanes and the pandemic Great food, great drinks, good prices, and super attentive wait staff

While the service was not super attentive, I think this is to be expected at a sleepy, quaint, secluded reef. It's nice that you can rent cheap snorkel gear and just hop right in the water, then pop out and grab a table or hammock for a quick snack or drink. We loved the piña coladas, and the margarita was great but definitely different in taste than what one might be used to in the states. The guacamole was very fresh but would have been better served chilled. Chips and pico were amazing!

Nice hidden gem! Have been coming to Cozumel for years, we even got married here 8.5yrs ago, yet we've never stopped here. The last couple of days have been very windy & the ocean very muddled with a lot of seaweed. It was suggested to go into town, park & swim where the locals swim. But then we spotted the sign for Corona Playa Beach. We are so glad we decided to check it out! Only $5 a person, the SE winds didn't affect this side of the island so the water was clear, not as rough & a HUGE area with reefs for snorkeling thus making it the perfect swimming & snorkeling spot! We will definitely make this a must stop every time we cometo Cozumel!

Sooooo relaxing!! This place is great!! Fresh food, great service, multilingual. We will cone back next visit for sure!!

The perfect spot if you like low key, relaxed and a bit rustic in the very best way. No entrance fee, beautiful views, a walk-in to the water. Food and drinks are delicious. It's a short taxi ride from the cruise port for only $13USD. Staff are exactly as I like it, took great care of us and were never pushy. There's even a masseuse. The snorkeling is great too, the best I've seen onshore. Angelfish, parrotfish, triggerfish, permit, zebrafish, sea fans, sea urchin, lots to see in shallow, protected water. They rent snorkeling gear too. It wasn't very crowded, 15-20 people or so, but I enjoy that. If you prefer more action or have kids that need a sandy beach there are many beach clubs to choose from. For me, Playa de Corona is perfect.

Had a great time in Mexico. This was a nice spot in the beach. My family has a really good time. The food and drinks were great. I would definitely recommend this place if you are ever in the area. Had a good time on the beach!!

Great location right on the beach but the food was not impressive and was cold. I'd go there only for a snack but not a meal.

Don't be fooled by the modest appearance, the food is top notch! It is a casual environment with tables in the back in an open air but covered courtyard. You will not find fresher seafood or more authentic dishes anywhere on the island. Diego, the chef-owner, and the rest of his team were so kind & welcoming. It was like eating at my favorite uncle's house. I am an avid and enthusiastic eater - fish tacos & ceviche are two of my all-time favorite foods and these are the absolute best I have ever had. Incredibly fresh, full of flavor, & generous portions at very reasonable prices. The guacamole was also very tasty. I look forward to returning during all my future visits to Cozumel.

The place looks like a seafood market from the front but you enter to the back and there is a whole outdoor dining area with plenty of chairs and tables. It can get really warm on hot days but they have a bunch of big fans. We weren't super hungry so we shared a large guacamole and a large seafood ceviche grande. The guac was really sour/lemony but in a good way. I enjoyed it. The seafood ceviche had all sorts of seafood, including fish, shrimp, octopus and other goodies. The seafood in it tasted fresh and was delicious. The order was big enough for 3 people to share. We ended up paying about $80 which I thought was rather pricey for just some guac and ceviche to share. The ambience was super casual and nothing fancy. The service was cool. It is good seafood but just know it's on the pricier end.

After seeing the great reviews here, we schlepped a couple extra blocks (despite a bit of rain) to visit for lunch. Well worth it. We liked Colores y Sabores so much that we returned on another day. Equally fantastic. The Margaritas (I got Mango) are great. Don't ask for frozen mango margarita because, although they will do it, it lessens the flavor of the fresh mango. Tried it both ways, so I can say for sure, lol. The Beans are something you do not want to miss. Something special about them here. The guacamole and pico de Gallo and chips are the way you'd hope: fresh, crunchy, not greasy and just enough pop. Enchiladas are fantastic - and there are three options for how you can get it. The Mole is outstanding - a little smoky, tons of rich flavor. I rarely order fajitas - but I wanted to go simple one day. Perfect. Tender chicken, and caramelized onions and peppers. Try corn or flour tortillas -- or both, like I did. Another day, I tried the tortilla soup and loved it. Soothing, simple, with strips of chicken and crunchy tortilla. We also got the chicken tacos, which were great. 3, with beans and guacamole on corn tortillas. Our fave, though, was the Chile Relleno. Heavenly. Ground beef stuffed inside and this dish was as satisfying and delicious as anything we encountered on the trip. The Carrot Cake! Definitely recommend that, too. Just sweet enough, and homemade.
