didn't want to do this on here but it needs to be addressed! About 90% of Americans are not consuming enough fruits and vegetables...hello people the solution is right here !!! No seriously I love all the bowls at Playa Bowl! The Power & Nutella açaí bowls are a couple of my favorites. I also love the smoothies and the lattes. I honestly have no clue if these are good for you but with all the fresh fruits and veggies they use I'm just going to say they are GREAT for me. If you aren't sure just consider me WebMD and stop in for your medicine! The decor is also amazing, it's kind of like a little piece of summer all year long. I do collect the stickers because I'm a little weird but stop in and thank me later!!

Came here for the grand opening when they were giving out 50 playa bowls for free! Got the nutella bowl with half pitaya and half acai while my boyfriend got the tide bowl with acai and banana. This location's decor aims to please it was so fun and really encompasses playa bowls theme of a beachy and fun brand. Portions were just right and all of the fruit was super fresh, ripe and to die for paired with the cold acai base. If you're a fan of nutella, be sure to get a healthy drizzle of it all over your bowl. Normal costs of the bowl without the promotion ranges from 9-13 dollars depending on your toppings. I've also tried from other locations the green bowl and chia bowl if you're looking for less sweet and sugary options.

Playa Bowls (pronounced Ply-a bowls) is a cute little eatery located on busy Millburn Ave in Millburn. Parking could be difficult to find on the same street but I was lucky enough to snag a spot directly in front of the location. No worries though, there's plenty of parking in the paying lot around the corner if you are not as lucky as I was. They serve smoothies, fruit bowls (which is basically like a smoothie in a bowl that you eat with a spoon) and food bowls that contain a protein, some choice veggies and a sauce. They have a slew of bowl and beverage options at their establishment so I highly suggest you go to the website and decide what you want ahead of time if at all possible. I ordered the vida bowl. Its açaí topped with blueberries, strawberries, granola and honey. It tasted a little like ice cream -delicious! And while most things I consume tend to hurt my stomach surprisingly this did not. The service was good. I walked in and asked the young lady at the counter what was their most popular bowl. I wasn't in the mood for chocolate and Nutella contains hazelnuts which I have an allergy to so I won't eat that. She recommended the Pure Vida and it was pure heaven while I ate it. Definitely a nice treat every now and then for $8. Yes, I do recommend Playa Bowls and will more then likely return with a friend as they do have tables and chairs set up so their customers can sit, eat and be merry :-)

    Completely melted bowl

I love playa and have never left a bad review, however this playa has messed up my order every time I've ordered a bowl and this time they gave me a completely melted bowl, it must have been a canceled order from before because it was completely wrong and not close to what I ordered. photo was taken after I put in the freezer for 10 min and it's still only liquid.

First time trying Playa Bowls as I had fruit bowls from different establishments, I tried the Nica Banana Bowl it was pretty good. They have a wall full of different bowls with different purée bases like Bananas, Kale, Chia seeds to name a few. I definitely go back try them all.

Love these açaí bowls, summit staff is always so nice and welcoming, and as always the playa bowl atmosphere brings you right to the beach.

I recently moved around the area and saw a few pics from another social media app about this place. I was hesitant to go and to discover I was being food catfished or even worst they sold out since they only make the food on weekend. I went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and there were only 4 items to order. So, I order everything except for the veggie dumplings. I didn't want to be a pig and thrown down like that on my first visit. The food was great. Needed more salt and maybe a good chili oil but the flavors were there. I wish I was a lululemon soccer mom and brunch here every weekend. I'd complain about rich people problems and sip on ginger congee and say darling for no reason. Please please support this place. I want to be able eat more Malaysian food in this speakeasy. No WiFi. So get your food and get out. Seating is limited. Don't be a lululemon mom!
