I had a very frustrating experience ordering from Playa Bowls through uber eats. I had already paid for my order in the app, but when the driver arrived, the employee (Joel) refused to make the order, claiming it had not been paid. This caused my order to be canceled, even though the issue was clearly on the restaurant's side. It was inconvenient, a waste of time, and completely avoidable. If you accept orders through uber eats , your staff should understand how the system works. Customers should not be put in this situation after already paying. I've been coming to Playa Bowls for years, first down in Deerfield and we've been to so many other locations since. I've been to this one a few times and every time it's been consistently downhill. This location is constantly missing ingredients and on this last visit, I ordered the Pink Power bowl, which is supposed to have a scoop of protein powder in it but apparently the premade pitaya base was so frozen, the block of it wouldn't mix with the minute amount of powder they put in. It was seriously the worst smoothie bowl I've ever had (and I've made some failed bowls at home). I honestly won't be back to this location. As I was leaving one of the employees asked me how it was, I was honest and he apologized and walked back with like 8 $2 off cards. It was a nice gesture but I can't see myself coming back 8 times to spend $13 each on a frozen bowl of flavored water and granola. I visited Playa Bowl on Saturday at 11:00. The computer system was down so they couldn't take any orders. The girl working didn't immediately offer a solution but then said we could order through the app. I placed my order and my order was the only one being made since no one could order. For a $14 bowl it was not well made. it didn't even fill the bowl! In the past the service has been very slow since only one person is usually working. But with no other orders a very average bowl we won't be back until we see an improvement In help. read more

Eje was especially amazing. He was so friendly, patient, and genuinely kind while helping me decide what to order. You can tell he really cares about giving great service. He made my bowl quickly, and it looked beautiful and tasted even better. He had such a good attitude the whole time and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The fruit was fresh, the portions were generous, and everything tasted so refreshing. I have mixed reviews for this bowl/smoothie shop. If I am reviewing the service, cleanliness and the yumminess, definitely 5 stars. But, if I am reviewing the cost for the product, it is a bit high, the prices are equivalent to other local organic bowl/smoothie shops, so that would knock them down to a 4 star. When I walked in and looked totally lost, per usual, a young man greeted me. He helped guide me and pointed out some of his favorites. I ended up getting the coco power bowl with vanilla plant based protein and added honey on top! I have never had a bowl in all of my travels with a coconut base and boy do I highly recommend it. It made me want to be on a tropical island! I can't wait to go back, I wish I could say and try others, but I tend to be a creature of habit. Came here today with my wife. She ordered two playa bowls and customized them somewhat . I had an orange power smoothie. Everything was delicious and staff was full of smiles and very helpful. But like another review on here I do find them a little pricey . Two bowls and a shake came to 40 bucks. Five star if price point was a little better. read more

I was excited to come here after visiting another location, but I was disappointed. First, they were annoyed that they had to make acai. It was noon, and they didn't have acai ready. It's not a good look for an acai place. They then go, and you will have to wait a while for some. I had to ask twice how long it would take--ten minutes, which wasn't long, so we waited. We got our bowls and went home. We got home, and one of our bowls was missing peanut butter, which we paid for extra. Anyways, $54 for three bowls.
