Curtis is absolutely incredible…read more To start with, the report that he delivered was exceptionally detailed and thorough, with annotated photos, hyperlinks to further information, a handy icon system to indicate the type and severity of repair or maintenance required, and very nicely detailed written descriptions of problem areas. The report was delivered the next day, which is amazing considering the level of detail included. I know some inspectors offer same-day reports, but I'd rather they take more time to do it right. After all, the report is informing a major financial decision and will be a useful reference for years to come. During the inspection, Curtis was kind, patient, and charming, and he really made us feel comfortable and confident that he was covering all the bases and giving us as thorough an inspection as possible. He was more than happy to explain what he was seeing and answer any and all questions that we thought of. Lastly, I should mention that Curtis teaches home inspection professionally, which certainly shines through in the way he works. He's a great teacher and really knows what he's doing. Oh, and his rate was extremely competitive with other quotes that we got for the inspection - and significantly less expensive than one of them. I really can't recommend Curtis enough. Give him a call - you won't be disappointed.

We have had three major headaches purchasing Columbia Cabinets (that is, apart from the 20 week…read morewait for delivery). First, we discovered was that my built-in desk had a segment on the side that was unfinished. Our designer ordered a new drawer box, which still hasn't arrived after a month. Second, a white toe kick was not included for our pantry cabinets. We learned it was our designer's mistake, but still, I would think that Columbia would have a QC department to look into human errors like that. They made no phone call to verify that we didn't want white toe kicks for our white cabinets, even though we ordered blue toe kicks for our blue cabinets. And third, our custom storage closet had several flaws in the paint finish. It looks like paper when it gets wet - wavy, slightly rough to the touch and dull instead of shiny. So now all three parts of our home improvement project have had holdups due to Columbia Cabinets. Each of our contractors is stalled without the ability to finalize the kitchen or desk, or install the game closet. The worst part is that Columbia Cabinets is closed this whole week between Christmas and New Years, so there's no one available to handle our issue.

Do not hire Caz Construction!! We hired Caz Construction to do our bathroom remodel. The quality of…read morethe work performed in our bathroom was sub standard and unprofessional. The tile was set horribly with uneven grout lines and tile lippage throughout. The tile was set directly on the shower pan causing the pan to squeak when someone stands and moves around in it. A 1/8"-1/4" gap is required for an expansion joint between shower pan and tile. There were no expansion joints left in the corners either. The caulking was done the same day as the grout holding moisture in and causing the grout to fail. the caulking was also very badly done with holes and tape line seams in it. When presented with the issues they were unable to provide a technician that could repair the damage and unwilling to make any of the necessary repairs. Eventually we had to terminate the contract because every technician they had sent out either did horrible work or was incapable of completing their job. There was no commitment to quality craftsmanship or customer relations. I have worked in this industry for 35 years and know the ins and outs of all parts of remodeling and construction. Do not hire Caz Construction if you want quality and professionalism.
