over price and rip off! i went back to that store to ask the lady to remove the alarm tag but they asked me for the receipt i couldn't find. i told them to check the camera and they did but they couldn't find it. i didn't want them to think i stole it. I quarreled with the cashier and manager and they won't let me have the dress back. they held it for long time.. they didn't care and do nothing about it. i can't take it back. i will NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!!! i recommend you to go to other place called URBAN EXCHANGE AND SAVERS. they have many clothes you could find and save ur $$ too!! read more

I sometimes like going to Plato's closet because I like seeing the deals but lately it has gotten really trashy and too pricy. Also the staff are very immature!! Last time I was there they were goofing around trying to get a friend of theirs to buy Chick Fil A while a customer was right in front of them. Also there was a boyfriend of one of the employees following her around while she was trying to do her job. Honestly this place is going down hill. I used to like it but I don't think I'll be shopping here anymore. Like another review said I rather pay an extra $2 on the full retail price than shop here and get dirty clothes and poor customer service. read more

So annoying , I bring clothes that have tags and name brand and they never take anything . Wait forever for a 17 year old to evaluate and decide on my stuff . Most of the clothes there have stains and holes . This store is only centered around a certain age group between 15-18 years old so don't waste your time if you are bringing good quality clothes not in that age range . Maybe I should have brought my 1992 clothes and put Rips / tears in my clothes before . read more

Make sure you use the restroom before coming. I'm currently pregnant and was rufused access to use their restroom, girl I asked was very rude. After looking around, I found a lot of stains and holes in the items they had on the rack. I was disappointed. Not a great experience. They do have great prices and name brands. I will try visiting one more time before I write this store off. I really loved the one I used to go to. read more

Super sweet staff and helpful. I was helped quickly at the fitting rooms without any wait time. Coming with my friends is always fun !

Great place to find name brand clothing at bargain prices! Perfect for any budget and no one knows the difference if it's old or new 2 U!

All of the reviews are spot on. This place doesn't buy back anything. I took BRAND NEW stuff and was told it was out dated...huh!? I looked through the racks a little & the stuff they had looked waaaayyy out dated & older than what I brought in. The prices here are slightly high. Don't even waste you time here. read more

They delete all there negative instagram comments so who knows what all they've deleted but I would have to say thats false advertising. Anyways don't even attempt to or waste your time taking items in here. I had a BRAND NEW never worn body suit they wanted to buy from me I paid 21$ at kohls they wanted to give me $1.63. Then how much they plan to sell it for? Who knows. If you want to help them make money but not actually help yourself make any cash then I strongly recommend them lol. I was trying to sell clothes because I couldn't afford bills. They just care about there profit though. I looked at there clothes....Four items I liked had stains on it and three pairs of leggings I liked had holes in them? So idk who was checking those products over but they shouldn't have been accepted or they should be cheaper because they have damages on them. No wonder they have such shitty reviews. read more

Once again....how...HOW. I had a $100 black fur coat (new), 3 forever 21 heels barely used, Steve Madden shoes NEVER worn, brand new jeans from Zara, forever 21, and fashion nova....how did they take 4 items that were nothing near to all the other items I had? I'm honestly shocked. Someone needs to reach out to me about who they hire to look at these clothes. This is ridiculous. All the clothes I had are in fashion and style....I don't understand. read more

Love this place always has great clothes for cheap! The people are great and it is very organized! I would definitely recommend anyone to come in. I've never sold clothes so I don't know how that goes read more

Don't sell your clothes here not worth it. They are too picky. I don't normally write negative reviews however I've never had a good experience here. Staff is generally not attentive especially towards dressing rooms. However whoever runs the social media does a nice job read more

If I can give 0 stars then I would. This place and all the reviews on here are true! I went in and took a big bag of clothes mostly "teen trendy" what there looking for great condition. As they were looking through the bag I was looking around the store to give myself an idea of what clothes their taking and what's this store about. ( this is my first time in there) I saw them only pull out a few items and then they texted me told me it was done I was only in for 5 mins!! How can you look through all of it in 5 mins anyways I went back up to the counter and she took out the bin and said she's only purchasing 2 items. Excuse my language but are you fucken kidding me lol out of everything $6 I sold it anyways and walked out NEVER will I walk in or recommend this place in fact I'll warn others! There clothes is mostly $10 and a lot of it has stains and all dusty linty. I couldn't believe the stuff they were accepting but wouldn't take. It's over priced for simple things you can find at another local bargain store or even somewhere else! Save yourself the time and don't go here. There stuff isn't even cute anyways. No sense of style or fashion. They have like 16 year old girls running the place. Don't except to see this place open for long. read more

Totally upset ! I went shopping for my teenage son and bought a few hats. I specific asked the girl at the front if I can return these items if they don't fit my son. She said of course as long as it within 7 days. I went back the next day and the so called Manager told me I cannot return the hats. So much for customer service! I have three teenagers in my house and shop here often. Not anymore!!! read more

The very first time I sold my stuff here around 2 years ago, it was a great experience and they actually gave me a decent amount of money! They took most of stuff and even complimented my taste in clothing. I went back recently to sell some stuff for the 3rd time and it was not as pleasant as the first time. The staff seemed kinda rude and judgy. They don't even greet you when you come in... just an overall bad vibe from the start. When I brought in my stuff, the girl was like "we'll let you know when we're done...it shouldn't take long." So I browsed around the store while waiting. Their stuff was not cute. Everything was way overpriced and not even "trendy". I brought in about 3 hampers of shoes and clothes. They took 12 of my items and gave me about 46$! Ridiculous! My clothes are Zara, topshop, f21, h&m, and American apparel. When I was leaving, the staff saw me struggling to carry out my 3 hampers of clothes and not one offered to help me or even offer to hold the door. They didn't even say thank you as I left!! I had to say thank you as I walked out just to be polite. Only giving them 2 stars bc I've found cute items here in the past but probably not going back. read more

First time here after hearing a lot about this place. First off let me say this place is very clean! It's just about as organized as a thrift shop would get... they have really good brand names at great prices, some items are really worn, but like any other thrift shop it'll be the same. They have a clearance for 50% everything which is nice! They have just about everything, clothing wise. The only I didn't see were long skirts/ knee length skirts!?:(( it's ok they had some free people brand items for 10.00 that's a steal!! Anywho, I will definitely return here at some point. They worker there stated they buy back clothes at 40% cash back so that's not bad, have to give that a try too sometime! Maybe they should give helpers a discount, check in on Yelp, and get 20 % off or something of that sort that would be awesomennn read more

Staff today was really rude. They were talking negatively about the customers in front of me when they walked out. Then they were complaining about it being busy with 5 people in the store. Really rude to say in front of customers. Poor quality service. read more

Easy on the wallet but not at the expense of style. Definitely the place to go for frugal shopping. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she was very happy! Thank you Plato's Closet! read more

Dope store, yes they might not buy your clothing or give you half retail. But it is a business and it's really awesome what I have seen it turned into. I would like to help them with business because I love clothing old or new. If you want to get fly for the low come in a few times a week and I garentee you can find something that you like. They like to purchased things that are relevant to teen culture or pop culture, keep that in mind when selling. For the people by the people! read more

It was a really clean place only thing I wish there were more sizes for Large to XL but then again not a very common size here maybe. Staff seemed really nice. read more

If I could give no stars that would be better! Do not waste ur time here. U r better off selling ur clothes on mercari or poshmark, offer up ,I had two bags of name brand stuff. But it didnt make the cut? But the shoes I see that are selling there were old with holes.Give me a break , I see better shoes at the goodwill. Very pricy if u ask me for used items. I don't think the girl looked through my stuff cause a lot of it was still folded, took her like less then 5 min to look through, and I had a lot of stuff. Very rude from the start. read more

Sizes were kinda all over the place and mixed up... for being a Friday morning especially, people that worked there weren't very friendly at all in fact no one said a single word to me without me getting their attention and asking them a question... they just weren't pleasant... I say get in look quickly then bounce out... I definitely appreciate the Arizona Platos Closet MUCH MUCH more!! Thanks but no thanks Platos in Temecula read more

I've shopped here before and found a couple good finds. However, I recently went in to drop off some clothes to see how much money I could get for them. I brought in 3 huge trash bags filled with Brandy Melville, Hollister, American Eagle and some other good branded clothes. It took an hour for them to go through my clothes. When I returned, they informed me that they only liked 4 OF MY ITEMS and I would be getting $16!!! What the heck! I just don't know what types of clothes they are looking for because my pieces were cute and in style lol. Anyways just know that you don't get a lot for the clothes that you bring it... that is if they take anything. :/ read more

Love coming to Platos Closet! I come here about once a week and they never disappoint. I always walk out with something and the prices are insane. Definitely worth checking it out if your looking for a thrift store with trendy items :) read more

I've been there several times now. I enjoy the selection of clothing. Everything's organized well. There hasn't been a time I didn't find something I liked! Most of my trips there have been great. The employees were friendly, helpful, and sweet, but 2 other times I ran into some employees who were less friendly and not very helpful. They had an attitude that seemed arrogant and it made me feel uncomfortable and not want to shop there. read more

This is such a cute clothing store! From somebody who loves to thrift shop I'm definitely used to having to really sort through clothes to find something that I like, but here it was hard to find something I didn't like. The clothes were good quality, and very on-trend. All of the employees were super sweet, and the store was pretty organized for the most part. I'm hoping to stop by again soon to see what new clothes they've got! read more

Don't recommend coming here at all. I went there the other day at 8 (they close at 9) to sell 2 bags of my clothes. One of the workers who had dark black hair asked me if I was selling clothes, and I said yes. She rolled her eyes and slammed like 4 register drawers while making me feel so unwelcome. She then told me with the most attitude "just so you know, we stop taking bags at 8 because we run out of money" and it was literally 8. They looked through my clothes for literally 10 minutes, and I had a ton of clothes, and when I came back, the same dark haired girl told me in such a rude way to go to the other side of the counter to get my things back. They took just a few things, and I don't mind, except they explained to me basically that my clothes were in terrible condition, which they weren't, when the truth was that they just ran out of money. I usually love coming here occasionally to sell clothes last minute or shop, but I will never be coming here again, and I have spoke to several of my friends who told me they got some really rude and disrespectful treatment from these workers. If you choose to work at a place where people sell their clothes, don't complain when you actually have to do your job, and don't be rude to people who did nothing to you. read more

i usually go here every other weekend, love how everything is organized.. when i recently just went i was going to sell my items, and the girl name paige i can tell off the bat she was in a bad mood? or idk what was her problem.. she didnt even greet me or anything, as soon as i was done picking up my items she put my stuff on the side like she literally just threw it ahaha i saw from the corner of my eyes and some heels fell out of the bag infront of her face and didnt even bother picking it up. also as soon as she was also handling me my receipe she just threw it on the counter and pen and didnt even tell me where to sign. horrible service with her, now i know who not to ring up my items if i go again :) if your going to have an attitude like that dont even work! read more

We waited here for almost 2 hours to sell clothes. The bags we brought in hadn't even been gone through. Clothes were in the exact same spot in the plastic bags as when we left them. They had so many buys, they told me they had too many to go through and the wait time was 3 hours. We had 2 huge bags of clothes. She said she would call and there were three people in front of us. She called in 10 minutes. Not enough time to go through three orders and ours. No way. I honestly don't think they even opened them. They bought nothing. We had brand name teen styles, some brand new. Go somewhere else. Total waste of 2 hours. Never again. Worst Platos ever in customer service. We have sold clothes in California and Colorado at Platos. read more

On saturday i can in when they had the 50% off sale, when i got to the register i was told it was final sale. It was until i got home that the sweater i you had a whole that was pinned from the inside & multiple huge nasty stains. It was my fault i didn't catch it but it's ridiculous they would ever put this out for sale looking like this. I had to just throw it away, & that's exactly what they should of done instead of try to sell it & trick customers. read more

Love this place! I always find the coolest stuff. Found this guess backpack for only $15 and these cute mom jeans! All the clothes are in pretty good shape and are priced well. Plato's Closet - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Temecula, California

Arielle was super kind when I made a quick visit to Plato's. I asked for her opinion on a romper I tried and she recommended a super cute cardigan to go with it, I got so many compliments on my outfit. She made my visit the best!! Will be coming back! (: read more

I'm very sad to say, but I'll never be returning to this location. I've sold items here in the past and the staff has always been very nice and accommodating. They always would usually take a few items and give me a return I was happy with. This time around though, I've never felt more judged on my life. The staff was completely rude and if you weren't a stick figure with stick figure sizes, you weren't welcome. Even though I had brand name clothing (Brandy Melville, F21, H&M, Dickies, etc) it was all passed up. They bought one crop sweater that I purchase in a boutique in OC for $3. Do I have a feeling it was because my clothing was M and L ? Yes. Which is a shame because I saw girls in the store who weren't a size 0 regretfully put pants back on the rack saying they wished they had bigger sizes! The crazy thing is the last time I sold Hollister shorts here, the worker said we ALWAYS need shorts/pants in size L here. The workers this time around seemed to be very judgmental, and from the looks of these reviews I'm not the only one that feels that way. read more

I absolutely love this store! I never leave without finding something! They have everything! I went in about a week ago and Bryson helped me find the perfect dress for a certain occasion.
