this store has went down hill. it's not clean and the staff isn't as friendly as it used to be. great selection of clothing and shoes. many staff members working at one time. but I've been here many times in the last year and it isnt clean. read more

We called at 5:55pm to ask when they stop accepting clothes and they said 7 (they close at 8) and on their door it says that they stop an hour before close, we get there at 6:30 because we live 30 mins away and they say "we stopped taking clothes a few minutes ago" when we were told they would stop at 7, they never hold their word, they are slow, rude, and inconsiderate, this is probably the 5th time this has happened to us and their excuse was that they are short staffed ( NOT SAID ON THE PHONE) absolutely ridiculous! read more

not for me. the setup is pretty packed so is overwhelming for me to shop. items didn't fit my needs as someone who doesn't wear a lot of branded items. i've enjoyed another location so i was disappointed. i only visited this one once and do not have the desire to go back. read more

This Plato's closet is the worst one to go to, you drive 45 minutes to go and try to trade clothes in just for them to tell you that they stopped taking buys. It is 5 o'clock and they close at 8pm. Reasoning is that they are short staffed but yet there are 2-3 employees out on the floor giggling and talking when they could be sorting your buy. read more

This Plato's Closet is fairly large--it even has an impressive men's clothing section size-wise. Not a fan of the lack of signage between each section, but once you're in the sections, it's nice that clothes are organized by color and size. I prefer shopping at Plato's Closets over thrift/consignment shops because the clothes have been vetted to the point where they were willing to offer a seller cash to bring in the inventory. Given that, I was disappointed with a lot of the selection. From outdated styles and patterns, to clothes with pilling on them, I felt like I was more at a Good Will than a Plato's. Service wasn't particularly great either. All employees (at least four) were all behind the counter talking. When I got a dressing room, the employee helping did not say one word to me. Nonetheless, pricing is great. I found some inexpensive tops with tags still attached in new condition. This is what makes the trip worth it! read more

I was looking for a dress or something cute and classy to wear for a wedding this weekend... And I cannot tell you how supportive and AMAZING the staff was! Raven, an absolutely amazing human being, was bringing me things that would help me put together a super cute outfit and was giving really good advice/input. I brought a bag of clothes and she said the wait was about 45 minutes. Being on a busy road, that's not enough time to go somewhere and come back so I waited in the parking lot for an hour. Came back in, 15 more minutes. Waited 20. Came back in, 15 more minutes. Came back in, 20-30 more. Horrible experience and won't be attending again. I know when I woman is being flirtatious with my husband and this experience was horrible. Will never be going again. The staff was perfect except this one particular blonde in the store. I never got her name. She rudely said something about my shirt and as we were walking out to pay, SHE NEVER took my husbands card, instead made him punch his number in first! She was staring at him the whole time and her pitch of voice would change as she was talk to me and to him and give me side eyes as if I wasn't there! This is a thrift store for more upper ended type of clothes. Brought my daughter here looking for absolutely NOTHING that interested me, but she was pretty excited about it. Terribly unprofessional. The staff was dismissive of customers, loud, and I heard them cussing. I came in to sell some clothes. They told me it would be 25 minutes which I thought sounded like long time to look through one bag of jeans. However, I said I would just shop around. They said that they would call my name when they were done. AN HOUR LATER, I went up to the counter because I realized none of the girls were doing anything, and they said, "Oh yeah, that's done." What a waste of time....I will not be back to sell or shop. read more

I enjoy coming here and I can count on one hand the times someone was rude to me and I've come here more than 30 times so, yes, pretty much all my experiences are wonderful. The clothes are up to date and yes the majority are stylish. It's definitely a place to visit if you're half naked and not on purpose. Lol. Enjoy. I usually don't do this but I had such a bad experience today with Plato's closet I must leave a review, if you drop off clothes be warned that they will "donate" if they decide they don't want the items. Dropped off 3 very large garbage bags on Saturday, was told 3 hours and if I wasn't back day of I only get store credit. I told them I would pick up Monday, no problem, arrived this morning to find out they had passed on all items and they donated everything over the weekend. Pretty shady operation! As a business owner, I know this is not proper operations. read more

Completely ripped me off, I brought in two pairs of pants, three shirts, they didnt even look at the pants, and for three brand name rue 21 shirts with 20$ tags on them I got 5 bucks and some change. If I sold those thirts by the price tag they would have been worth 60$+. My mother brought in a box full of brand names in fantastic condition and you could visibly tell they hadn't even sifted through the items as they were exactly how we had left them. I've been in here before and have always been given very little cash for very expensive clothes - which of course, I expected. But they always cited "Condition/Everyday Wear & Tear" as reasons for rejecting some of my very nice, very expensive, well-cared for clothes. This morning, I bought $130 worth of brand new clothes (all returnable). I tore the tags off and tried to sell all of it to this place. They offered me $11 for 5 of the most expensive items in my bag. Returned the rest to me and gave me the "Condition/Everyday Wear & Tear" speech about my rejected clothes. I dropped the bomb on these scam artists and showed them the receipt for all of brand new clothes they just rejected. They had no words. I took everything with me, returned all of my clothes, and went home feeling satisfied knowing that these thieves got called out. Have a garage sale. Donate to the salvation army. Don't go here. And if you're desperate for money, I'd sit outside their store and offer your stuff to the highest bidder. It's worked for me. Plato's Closet can give you $2 for sneakers and sell them for $12, or you can sell them for $10 and both you and the customer will get a good deal. Food for thought. read more
