Finally came in here after driving by Penelope's Closet too many times, the mural drew me in. I found a lot of womens clothes, some children's clothes, & some men's clothes. I think the ladies tops were between $3 -$6 a piece, the prices are listed on all the clothing racks. I bought ten super nice tops, some placemats & a tablecloth, it came out to $45, not bad. This shop had so many cute dresses, from casual to formal, even wedding dresses. If you shop here, expect to spend some time going through racks, but that's the fun, it is a treasure hunt. There were some home goods, but most were covered with white sheets, I am not sure why, just ask the nice lady at the cash register. read more

One of Mobile's best kept secrets. A resale store with A lot to look thru. Men's, women's, teens, children's, books, accessories you name. Plenty of help should you need it. A little crowded but worth the squeeze. 93 year old Mom loves shopping the bargins here. We will back again. read more

The employees here are very kind, that is why it gets stars! However, it is incredibly unorganized, there are no fitting rooms, and sales are all final so if something doesn't fit- you are unfortunately out of that money which sucks. Reasonable priced. There isn't a large clothing selection for smaller individuals so keep that in mind! read more

I've shopped at this thrift location a couple of times. The associate was friendly and greeted me as I entered the store. She did mention that they are about to move to a new location. The items for sale are mostly clothes and shoes and the place is kind of a mess. I am hoping their new location will be more organized. Also, every time I go there, I smell cigarette smoke in the area. Prices are a bit high for thrift. I will definitely try out the new location when it's opened - maybe the organization issue and cigarette smell will be alleviated with a new store. read more

Normally, I like shopping here. But it will probably be the last time I do after this experience. I asked the lady at the counter how much ties cost. $2, she said, unless they are marked differently and those are $5. So, I went back to the tie department and chose 4 nice ties. I also had a blouse and a pair of shoes. I didn't see any ties w different price tags. When I get to the counter, she tells me that everyone of the ties are $5 each. ???!!??? Then she tells me a crazy story saying sone fellow came in earlier and took all of the price tags off and brought them to the counter. She told him she had seen him removing the tags. So, when he left, she put the ties back on the rack without their tags. Then, lo and behold, I just happened to select the exact same ties? Baloney. I think she just jacked the price at the last minute trying to squeeze more money out of the transaction. I left without making a purchase. What a waste of time. read more
