I brought in about 100 pieces of clothing and shoes: American Eagle, Aerie, Van's, Converse, bebe, Union Bay, Levi's, Nike, ALL were purchased within the past few months, the majority were never even worn (I lost a lot of weight and they no longer fit). My clothes are expensive, and in pristine, like-new condition. They offered to buy 6 pieces for $25 and said the rest of my items were old seasons, showed too much wear, and were not in-demand brands. While they only took 10 minutes to sift through my clothes, I shopped the store. The skanky, trashy, heavily worn used clothes on their racks that they have paid people for while telling me mine were not good enough is baffling. The racks are overpacked, crammed, most clothes are covered in lint and do not look clean. The businesses perspective is that customers are trying to cheat the store no matter what. The manager said it was the law to give personal info over to sell her used clothes. I asked what law? Just an okay store, very small range of clothing inside which is weird because they don't accept all clothes brought in store. The stock is very one sides to fit one type of person, such as a rural teenage girl. The store even describes that to you when attempting to drop off clothing. For the area, it's safe to say that they don't fit the stock for their community therefore will always lack customers. Service is pretty fast, but it also depends on the day. Granted, I moved in a different direction with my personal style, still, clothes are clothes and so for a resale shop, anything should be feasible to have. I didn't care how much I got, I just wanted to get rid of them. What was I met with? The surveyor of the clothes who was in charge of pricing the articles checked everything, folded them up, placed them back in the bag I brought them in. The excuse as to why I was neglected any sort of pay? Because my jeans aren't acid washed, they're in prime condition meaning NO DISTRESSING, and they aren't slim or skinny jeans. I have 3 jeans that are in prime or at least like new condition, no distressing because people who pay for holes are functionally retarded (when you can do it yourself as in a solid pair of H&M or ZARA Jeans can go between 20-75 dollars and you can distress them yourself), and these are boot cut jeans. Do not give Plato your time or money unless you're desperate but definitely find alternative means to sell your articles of clothing. eBay has more potential and gives you the means to have a better chance of selling your clothes than this joke of a place. read more

I don't know why I even wasted my time. I made sure all of my clothing items were listed under the "brands they love" on the website. Many of these items were basically new or with tags. The sales associate didn't even look through any of my stuff! She must have thought I wasn't paying attention. She took the lid off one of my bins and then put it back on the ground after looking at one item. It would have been fine if she didn't buy my clothes because they were bad but she obviously hates her job and doesn't care about the customers. It's pure laziness and honestly really insulting. This location is a joke; whoever owns it needs to strongly review their staff or strongly consider closing up shop. I accompanied my wife last night to this location as she had several new to lightly used expensive name brand items of clothes and bags she was willing to sell. We got there several hours before they close, it was dark out but both the store sign and the open sign were turned off. It was hard to tell if they were even open. Turned out they were open but just slacking off. They took her stuff and held it behind the counter. Told us it would be about 20 minutes to look through it and come up with an offer. They took an hour! While employees walked around the store pretending to be busy, spot vacuuming the entrance etc. They loosely thumbed through the items unfolding them but not really looking at them or even checking any sort of inventory or anything. They then rudely told her they weren't in style and couldn't buy anything. Huge waste of time! The stuff she had actually just seemed to good for them. As the stuff they had out on the racks were all cheap garbage. My final review is this place is staffed by teenage girls that don't want to work or even be there. I suspect the lights being out was even an attempt to look closed to avoid doing any work or dealing with any customers. They waste your time and don't even really look though your stuff. They treat your stuff you bring in like a bag of dirty dumpster towels. They have no taste, no real management, horrible customer service, tacky items for sale. Don't waste your time here. Sell your stuff online! Whoever owns this location I challenge you to run a secret sting operation here if you don't believe all these negative reviews this place has. Go in with a bag of stuff they should buy and see what happens. If they would recognize you then send in a family member or someone else that would do it for you. Record the incident even. They told us this stuff is supposed to be in baskets even though I went in the website beforehand and it said nothing about that, but they accepted it for review anyways and they told us it would take about a half hour, and that they would send us a text when it was all ready. We never got a text so we ended up waiting longer than we had to and they told us they weren't accepting any of it, I could clearly see all of our clothes there unopened. WISH 0 STARS WAS A OPTION This store has plenty of negative reviews on Google, but, against my better judgement, I decided to go there and give them a chance. I took in about 3 bags of name brand jeans in WONDERFUL, like new condition (7 For All Mankind, Joe's, Paige, Citizens of Humanity, Rag and Bone, etc), and a few new with tag shirts and dresses. I was told that my bag would be checked and ready in about 45 mins bc there were 2 people ahead of me. Besides that seemed about right for the amount of clothing that I took in. Approximately 7 mins later I get a text indicating that my bag is ready to be picked up. When I went to get my bag I was informed that they didn't accept any of the items. The funny thing is, when I got home and went through my clothes I realized, as I'd already suspected, they didn't even check the clothes. I know this because I turn my shirts/dresses inside out when I store them, and they were still inside out in the exact order that I'd placed them in the bag. I always sell here and usually have no problem. The last 2 or 3 times has been a JOKE. This time I brought in a Michael kors purse, multiple pairs of basically BRAND NEW uggs, juicy couture, Nike, etc. Everything was almost brand new, had little wear, washed the same day. Then I walk in they say they changed their policy to 25 items a day, okay. They give me a bin to go through my things ON THE FLOOR (probably how my stuff had "pet hair" when I don't even own a pet and it had been washed the same day). Then they tell me I have to stay in store while they check it, also new policy apparently. I walk around for 45 min, notice a girl on crutches comes in and they make her stay in store too. Didnt offer her a chair or anything. The funniest part of the whole experience: the girl checking my stuff took a while 20 seconds to dump my bag out, grabs the purse and uggs and throws EVERYTHING back into the bag right away. Takes another 30 seconds to look at the purse and shoes (again in great condition and nearly brand new) and throws them in the bag too. Didn't take a single thing. HUGE waste of time. What a joke. They told me they need "new styles" when they stuff I brought is literally from THIS YEAR and they have dirty ass shoes all over the place. I went in here with 20-25 name brand pieces of clothing all in very good condition, and then waited an hour for them to tell me they would take 3 things and would give me a total of $5.15. Don't waste your time even going in this place. The staff is rude and not helpful at all. You can ask them why they won't take a certain clothing item and they will usually say "it's not in style", but when you look around the store you can find items that are similar. I will say that this platos has the best selection I've seen, but I am very disappointed with the customer service. In August I made a purchase and a sales associate convinced me to spend $20 more to get a coupon for a visit in October. She failed to mention that the coupon was only valid at that location and with the receipt attached, so naturally I threw away the receipt and tried to use it two months later at a different location. When that didn't work I tried using it at the Allen park location, even offering to show my bank account info from my purchase. No luck. The employees were very friendly, but these places are always picky. I only got $11 for 7 items they took from me and a few of them were never worn with tags still on them. I am fed up with this store! The staff is very rude and unfriendly and they barely look at your clothes before handing them back and basically saying "No thanks". This last visit was a joke. They handed me back my clothes and said they couldn't take them until I washed them all because of the pet hair. When I said I didn't own any pets so that could not possibly be true, the girl said, "Well you can still wash them and bring them back for reconsideration." I think not! A great Platos closet with friendly and helpful employees. I just do not like the fact that the employees are understaffed which forces them to work twice as hard for a minimum wage job. When I came here today it was clothes all over the floor and customers having to wait for a fitting room. A place of business should never look like a tornado hit it.
