I would highly recommend Platinum Pilates to anyone interested in improving their health and fitness. I've done about 10 classes now and I have to say I am well and truly hooked! I always leave the class feeling renewed and engerised AND fully aware that I have had a good workout. Most classes start with exercises that are down lying down on the reformer carriage which I find very appealing (as I can be a bit sluggish initially but once I'm warmed up and the blood is pumping I'm ready to go!) During the classes the instructors encourage you to push yourself and have adaptations that can either take it up a notch or down a notch depending on your fitness, flexibility and history of injury. I have found the instructors friendly, professional and very helpful. Also, the music is a great motivator!! The people are friendly bunch with guys and girls of a wide variety of ages attending the classes. The room is always spotless with a light fragrance of lemon lingering in the air. I signed up to Platinum Pilates at the start of this year and from my first Reformer class I've been hooked! It's a brilliant way to get a full body workout but you never feel in danger of injuring yourself as the class sizes are small so you feel like you're getting one on one attention from the teachers. Speaking of the teachers - they are brilliant. They're really encouraging and know when to push you when you need it but they'll also show you other options when you're struggling in areas where you may be a bit weaker. No two classes I've been to have been the same (which I love) and the hour flies by. I love their online booking service - it helps me find a class that fits into my schedule and it also reminds me over 24 hours in advance that I have a class coming up (good for someone like me who sometimes needs reminding!). This is a fantastic Pilates studio in stillorgan set upstairs in a beautiful old church building ! I never tried any type of Pilates before so a true beginner and slowly getting hooked to reformer. If you are having a bad day it's a perfect class to attend at the end of the day as you come out feeling great and much more relaxed even though you put yourself through a "work out"! Each week I can see myself improving and moving that much better, my flexibility is definitely improving even after 5 classes. The staff are fantastic and cater moves to your ability in class and also give personal attention if required during the class itself. Highly recommend this studio and trying reformer especially ! I first attended Platinum Pilates about 3 years ago for their Reformer Pilates Classes. I have been very pleased with the standard and experience of the Teachers. The atmosphere is friendly and professional - the emphasis is on performing the correct techniques and that each person performs to the best of their abilities at each class. I always felt comfortable and cared for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Platinum Pilates for any level of Pilates from beginner right through to most experienced. It is a lovely room, clean bright and airy and in a good location with adequate parking and good timetable. Any pregnant ladies considering the reformer pilates, please please think again! The class was so tough and the teachers take no interest in how far along you are or if you are using the machines correctly! As a result of this class I have torn a ligament in my lower back which has completely ruined my pregnancy! I am 25 years old and very active. I was simply not shown how to use the machine correctly! I now cannot exercise at all apart from ten minute walks and am wearing a support belt for the remaining 17 weeks of my pregnancy, as well as seeing a physiotherapist once a week. Please do not consider it, I promise you will regret it, there are much safer ways to stay active that I wish I had considered. It really has ruined my pregnancy I am in constant pain since! read more

I've never been a huge fan of exercise but it's so different with Platinum Pilates. I love the type of classes they offer, all of them challenging but all very different so you never grow tired of the classes as they change them up all the time. Their staff are brilliant, so good at pushing you so you get the most from each class but also really encouraging which I like, they notice progress even if it's only small steps you're making and really help you to push forward. Platinum Pilates has helped me so much with improving my strength and flexibility and it has also started to give me good tone. All in all I would highly recommend it. I had my first Platinum Pilates reformer class last night - I was a little nervous as I've never done any form of Pilates before but the minute I was greeted by the receptionist, I was put at ease. The class itself was brilliant - the instructor, Orla, went through the different parts of the reformer machine and how it works and explained the Pilates movements and terminology as we went along so that even a complete novice like me knew what to do. By the end of the class, I had that nice, sore feeling you get when you know you've had a good workout. Classes are small and there are so many classes each week to choose from in both locations. The teachers are excellent and take the time with each student to adjust and explain postures correctly. A gem in the heart of suburbia-platinum pilates offers fast paced intense reformer pilates classes. The studio is bright, airy and while it only has twelve reformers it feels spacious. The instructors are all experts and are brilliant at motivating while still catering to the various levels of ability in each class. I find it's the only form of exercise I really enjoy while still getting a proper work-out in. Definitely worth a try- I guarantee you will be hooked! read more

I tried my first reformer class at Platinum Pilates in Stillorgan. Really enjoyed it. I do a lot of mat based Pilates classes but hadn't tried the reformer before- instructor was great, really helpful throughout the class. I live right next to FlyeFit and just could never make a habit out of it. I signed up for classes at this studio and try to make it to 3 classes a week. The studio offers many classes at all different class times. It's definitely worth the investment. The facilities are very clean and comfortable, it's the highlight of my weekdays. I go to platinum Pilates in rathmines . It is very well run, clean The all of the instructors are fantastic , there routine changes and the music is great. I do orla and Elaine's classes mostly and they know how to challenge you do you get the most out of the class am seeing improvements in my strength and flexibility.
