Platinum Parking LLC There is nothing "Platinum" about this company, its business tactics or (lack of) customer service. Don't rely on my personal experience. Review for yourself at www.bbb.org. My experience was from parking at Piper Village, a lot that had for several years never charged for parking. Apparently, that has changed. I, unfortunately, found out the hard way via a parking ticket. I was issued a ticket, not because I lacked the funds, or ignored the parking signs. The parking lot signage (which I only noticed after the ticket) is posted at the right side of the entrance and at an angle. Not ideal to be viewed by the driver turning into the lot. The parking stalls are not marked. After the ticket, I did notice some additional signage, but very difficult to read when the parking lot lights are burnt out (or not turned on). Lastly, there is no physical option to pay for parking. In any case, I will not make an excuse. I did not realize the lot had changed to "pay-to-park". I clearly missed the interestingly placed signage. I attempted a dispute with the company. Only to receive a combative response and a reminder that they will bill me a higher rate if I do not submit $45.00. I am sure that the owner will respond to this or my other posts (on BBB) in the same combative manner. Thus, confirming their despicable business practices. I received a ticket from them for parking in a Subway parking spot even though I was just in Subway getting food then I went next door to another restaurant to pick up my called in order. I left my friend in the car without a key to my vehicle. A guy came outside from Subway and talk to my friend saying he needs to move the car now. My friend explained I would be right out to move the car. He wrote a ticket and set it on the window. My friend said as the guy walked away he called my friend a Fag then waved at him. I was out of the other restaurant within 3 minutes of the ticket being issued. When I called and tried to explain the situation to this shady company they were very rude and didn't take the time to listen to what I had to say. read more

This place is using illegal tactics to tow and fine peoples vehicles. I dont understand how they are staying in business with this many bad reviews and so many people calling them out on it. We parked in one of their lots that has not one but TWO kiosks to pay in their entrances. They both have large signs that say "pay for parking here". So, like any normal person we paid the kiosk and put the sticker on our window. 1 hr later we come back to find our vehicle towed. Come to find out there is a DIFFERENT pay box in the corner of the lot we parked in (no signage at all) where we where supposed to pay. The kiosks in the ENTRANCES of the lot where for parking on the road, not in the lot. When we called the tow truck company I made them show me the time that they picked our vehicle up. 4 MINUTES after we parked they picked the vehicle up. How is this possible? They got a tow truck in downtown seattle to pick our car up in FOUR minutes? Obviously someone is sitting in the lot waiting for people to make this mistake that we made and immediately calling a tow truck that is standing by to tow the vehicle. We ended up getting a $500 towing bill and a $70 ticket from the lot (for spending one hour in seattle). The fact that these people re getting away with this is crazy. Something should be done about this company. read more

I would add to the chorus of others complaining about Platinum Parking. I parked in one of their spots in piper village, purchased items at the venue it was labeled for and left in less than 10 minutes and got a ticket. There was a man in the parking lot who verbally harrassed me. I contested the ticket in writing, even sending a receipt proving purchase and they denied my claim. Needless to say I won't be paying the ticket and I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and the AG's office. Stay away from this scam operator. read more

Got a ticket when parking was paid for in cash at one of there lots. Never received a notice on the windshield for it and six months later they send me a failure to pay notice with increased fines to $74! You can call but they never call back and try to insult you when dealing with them. The Attorney General needs to know about all there wrongful business practices. read more

Unbelievable, a final notice for a ticket I didn't receive in a place I never was? Customer service, I use the term loosely, answered the phone very aggressively. Apparently they do this all day long. I just asked about the time place and a picture and he said he didn't have time and to request in writing. Complete BS. BBB needs to do something read more

I do not need to explain my situation because it is completely identical to all of the reviews here. An unreasonable company is what they are. read more

Like so many others I am making a complaint against Platinum Parking. I saw the King county cease and desist order for their parking practices. I will also be making a complaint against Better Business Bureau. Saturday I parked in a lot that I later found out to be The Sedges at Piper Village off 87th while getting dinner on Greenwood. Half of the lot said retail of 2 rows close to the building and half said resident along the far side towards 87th. The sign had arrows to the retail and resident. I thought I was parking in the retail as I was parked in the first 2 rows closest to the building. There were no signs that stated this lot is owned by Platinum Parking and pay here. It also did not have the big parking company official no parking or subject to towing or ticket signs. I had dinner and returned and a ticket for $49. I read it and it said pay within 2 weeks or an additional $25, then subject to collections. I, unfortunately, paid it as I didn't want another $25 and also collections, but after reading all of the comments I shouldn't have. I will be making a report to the BBB agency. I guess in Washington the parking lots need to 1: have the lot owner clearly marked, and 2: have the signs that inform you what happens if you park there in an illegal spot. And, in the future to Greenwood I have mapped out street parking when I drive or I will just bike. However, after reading the 9 pages of complaints and the King County suit I also wouldn't be surprised if I locked my bike to a signpost at a business with a Platinum lot if my bike got a ticket for taking up sidewalk space or some silliness. Tomorrow I will be making a complaint to BBB and I will not ever park in a Platinum lot here or anywhere else and I will walk farther. read more

This company is a complete scam. I went to a teriyaki place in Greenwood in the Piper Village area. Usually with COVID, I park, run in to order, then wait 10 mins max for my food to carry out. I've done this at least 15-20 times without issues. I did the exact same thing this time, only after maybe 7 mins of being inside the restaurant, I come out to a $50 ticket on my dash. Such BS. The teriyaki place said that the 3 spaces to the left of where I parked are for their business and I can park there without penalty. The space literally to my right is for Verity Bank. Makes literally no sense whatsoever. So what exactly is the spot where I parked for??? Unfortunately it just makes me stop giving business to the restaurant. I have also seen signs at the Bartell's where I frequent. The signs seem like they would charge in the evenings after a certain time. Again, makes no sense whatsoever. A customer should never be charged just for going about their normal business in that area. This parking company should never exist. read more

Like everyone else, I wish there was a zero slot. These guys are the worst for customer service. All beware, just read the below responses and find a better lot that treats people with respect. read more

I parked in a spot in the Six Oaks garage in Bothell that I did not realize was only for Amaro Bistro because it says "Retail only" as well as "Amaro Bistro only" which is confusing. I mailed a dispute to Platinum Parking explaining this within 14 days as required, kindly asking for a reduction in the fee or a warning instead since I did not understand the sign, especially during the pandemic when I was supporting a local business. I received their letter rejecting my dispute yesterday (4/19, letter dated 4/16) and it is clear they did not fully read my letter and showed zero consideration for my explanation. They said I have 14 days upon receiving the rejection letter to pay the ticket before a late fee of $25 is charged. When I logged on to pay, they had already increased the fee from $49 to $74, even though the payment is not late. I called them and left a couple of voicemails, and they ultimately called me back saying "it was their screw up" and have adjusted it back to $49. Upon reading other Yelp reviews here, I can see this has happened to so many people. It is unfair and unjust and I have filed a complaint with the attorney general. read more

Adding to the litany of outrage- I share the same experience of being disregarded by Platinum Parking. I did not see any signs in a parking lot that I had used for decades- mostly because it was dark and rainy. UPDATE!! The district manager of Bartells returned my call and seemed very concerned about what happened to me. She promised to follow up with the property owner- it is NOT Bartell's who hired Platinum Parking to service their lot. I was very impressed with her willingness to try and deal with the problem adn keep me a happy customer. Keep speaking up, everyone! read more

Rude, unprincipled business.. I was picking up dinner at the gyro stop and got a ticket. I was unaware in was paid parking and didnt see the sign (which was my fault, wasnt paid parking last time in was there) got a ticket. On the ticket it said I could dispute if proving with a receipt I was at one of the business's. So I sent proof that I was at the Gyro Stop. Never heard a word back.. sent me to collections!!!! Complained to the BBB and Platinum's responses to my complaints were condescending and child like. I would rather walk miles from my car rather giving them a dime of my money for parking. read more

If o could give this company 0 stars I would. They have pay by phone parking I their lots that doesnt actually work. Be prepared to get a "parking ticket" within minutes of leaving your car believing that you have already paid. Predatory company. Avoid parking here. read more

Is there a rating lower than a one star? I parked my car on 15th and University way for three minutes and got two tickets. And the company told me that there is appealing process which I followed it through: writing letters and over the phone conversation but that was in vain. But after they were investigated, sued and fined by the AG office, they (platinum) told me that my tickets were dropped. Unfortunately, however, that wasn't true. Five years later I found out that they did send those tickets to a collection company........... read more

I haven't been there before, and they mailed to tickets to me. Only says vin WA. I even don't know the vin number. All stuffs are shits.

I thought the letters in the mail were from a fake company until I received a collection notice, I never parked somewhere in Seattle. I live in Bellingham, I have called so many times and no response I'm very confused. Everyone has to pay even if they didn't park in a spot they're claiming? read more

These guys are scam artists... even if you pay the fake tickets, they will send it to collection and try to extort more money out of you. At 8pm, I parked on a deceptively designed street, deliberately designed to look like any public street, with no clear or obvious signage about being private property, or parking limits. Then, at 10pm I get a 'parking violation' notice - not from the city - prom a lot attendant - wait a minute, I am parked on the street... what the hell? Then, after sending photos back proving there is no signage, and disputing it, they reject my dispute, demand payment. So I paid it, on time. Then, they sent it to collections anyway. Don't park there, don't patronize the businesses that use them. and if these guys try to rip you off like they did me - join the many who have already filed complaints against Platinum Parking with the State Attorney General's office. read more

SCAM. They are trying to jack me for $70. They have pictures of my car in a spot, but the signage is crap. Would you expect a prominently placed PERMIT PARKING ONLY sign? I would. And, they are grouchy on the phone. Not paying. read more

Parked in an UNMARKED spot in their lot on 85th & Greenwood, was there for less than 45 minutes, and got a $45.00 fine. How am I supposed to pay for an unmarked spot? Disputed the claim, but it was denied (big surprise). We're going to avoid those businesses now; as another reviewer noted, there are many other places to frequent that do not have such a horrible parking company trolling their lots. read more

unlawful and exploitative. they will tow your car even if you pay. do not park in these lots.

Was parked by a store I didn't realize was closed and left to go next door for five minutes only to come back to a 45$ f***ing ticket. No one was around except for one guy I spotted who I assume was sitting there just waiting for anyone to come by. Awful predatory parking company. I won't be driving to that store ever again. read more

DO NOT PARK IN PLATINUM LOTS. I paid -- actually, I purposefully *overpaid* so I wouldn't run out of time-'and when I got back with an hour left to spare, my car has been towed from the lot. It was $350 to get my car back from the towing impound lot, and Platinum had the temerity to put a $45 "ticket" on my windshield. The dispatch at Big D Towing said three cars were towed from the lot all at the same time. It looks like there might be a nice little collusive arrangement between parking lot owner and tow company. read more

I, like one of the other reviewers, parked in the one-way street on Greenwood to get Razzi's take-out. I stayed in my car while my friend ran into grab the take-out. The man pictured in previous comments approached my car and told me to pay for parking if I planned on staying. I didn't know he was with Platinum - I Just thought he was a goody two-shoes. I thought it wouldn't take more than a couple minutes for my friend to grab the take out, so I disregarded the guys comment. Turns out, he was with Platinum and his exact time limit on how long one can park without him ticketing you is the time it takes him to walk around the block, even if you're still in your car. If you're still there without payment, he'll snap a picture and ticket you (or if you're in your car, hand you a ticket, even though it says on the ticket "No Hand Deliveries"?). It probably would have taken just as long to go pay for an unnecessary amount of parking time as it did to go get the takeout. All said, I'm convinced Platinum Parking's business model is ripping people off, and it's unfortunately going to deterring me from supporting the business nearby. read more

DO NOT PARK IN A LOT MANAGED BY PLATINUM PARKING. Very shady company...if you park here, you may get a ticket even though you paid and have a receipt. When you call their number, you get a recording. When you contest the ticket, they respond weeks later and now the "ticket" costs even more. You've been warned! Stay away from Platinum Parking. read more

The parking attendant had the audacity to give me a parking ticket while I was sitting in my car. I had pulled in the parking lot turned off my car. The parking attendant came to my window and handed me my ticket. He had the audacity to tell me if you want to sit in your car you have to pay. The person did not even give me the opportunity to pay or get out of my car for that matter. I have never seen such rude service or someone to give someone a ticket before they even get out of the car. read more

Do not purchase parking from this company. They will ticket you for using your own paid-in-full parking spot and then threaten you with a collection agency if you question why you were ticketed. RUN, do not walk away from doing business with this company. read more

If you are a resident at the Galleria do not park in the visitor parking if you are a resident even though the old manager told us that we have 14 days to park in a visitor spot the guy at platinum parking refuses to listen to that statement. Apparently the old management had no communication with the parking company because the two cannot coordinate enough to run business smoothly. Is expensive enough to live here without having to get $200 worth of tickets in one month which is what happened to me. They also towed my boyfriends car even though it had a parking pass clearly on it in a spot that wasn't even labeled and I can't believe they call themselves a company when the owner called me a liar blatantly on the phone when I try and tell him what happened. Worst business ever. read more

parked according to guest signage and properly registered my car at an apartment complex that contracts out to platinum parking. as i was leaving an hour before my permit expired, the parking attendant accosted my friend and me. he told me that he'd seen my car illegally parked all over the property. i told him this was the second time i was at this property. he continued to say that i had parked often at this property without registering, which is false. the whole situation was awful and his demeanor made me very uncomfortable. please avoid all platinum services if you don't appreciate being harassed by paranoid, power-tripping old large white dudes. read more

The only reason I'm writing this yelp review is to encourage other victims of this predatory, profoundly unprofessional entity to report experiences to every viable consumer advocacy agency such as the Attorney General & Consumer Affairs Office. Referring to Platinum Parking as unprofessional is super generous. I got a parking 'notice' from them (actually I don't know where the 'notice' was generated from; the towing company that had my car handed it to me when I picked up my then damaged car). I called the number on the 'notice and an angry man answered. He told me that it was a parking 'notice', not a parking ticket. He then repeatedly in a very unwarranted hostile & loud tone continually told me he "didn't care if I paid the fee or not". When I asked him why he was yelling, he said "Because I get these bogus calls all the time". He refused to give me his name (he said "My name is irrelevant"), wouldn't tell me what the fee was for or where the money went. All he kept saying was "I don't care if you pay it or not" & then hung up on me. I think he wouldn't tell me anything because I believe they are operating on a possibly illegal basis. Why else wouldn't he have simply told me the whats & whys I was asking about - what's to hide? I'm pretty sure they are contracted in some form of another with towing companies for getting tows. I've reported them to the BBB, which of course lists Platinum Parking as not a BBB accredited business. Platinum Parking should read their own yelp page & reconsider their (and I'm using this term extremely loosely) business practices. I would have just paid the fee if the representative had been reasonable & could articulate responses to my inquiry about their parking 'notices'. read more

RUDE!!! CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED!!! I parked in a lot monitored by this company. I attempted to comply with the posting "Piper Village Parking Only". I was patronizing a business in the village and thought I would have no issues. I returned to my vehicle to find a ticket that was issued less than 5 minutes after I walked away. When I called to get additional information the man talked very rudely asking me did I read the citation. I told him yes he insisted I read it to him. I complied. I attempted to share that the posting is misleading as I thought I was incompliance. He asked did I read the comments on the ground. I told him no and that I would assume whatever was on the ground would be consistent with the sign that was posted on the pillar. It was not!! It said Subway Only! Why would they have additional parking instructions and not post it on the sign. The ground paint has faded and should not be the primary form of notice to patrons. The phone attendant hung up in my face. I feel this is a racket. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. I believe they are targeting patrons trying to gain revenue. The listed dispute materials make the burden of proof seem extraordinary to a basic functioning person. read more

I have had my work vehicle parked in the parking spot that I pay my apartment complex the right to use for the last month straight--it has not moved. Today I came home to find a ticket on it. Platinum Parking decided to ticket my work vehicle for parking in the spot that I pay for. Further more, they refuse to tell me what the ticket is for and The Galleria Apartment complex refuses to help it's paying tenants. I will never rent from a Thrive community again, and I definitely will never support a company affiliated with Platinum Parking. This is now the second ticket Platinum has given me for being parked legally at my complex, unbelievable. The most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. read more

I cannot believe the professionalism of this company. I highly recommend any property owner to deal with another agency whose employees or managers handle business better than them. It is incredible how rude and just inconsiderate their handling is. They have a parking lot with with zero security and expect payments that are also incredible. Their employees are disgustingly negligent and it sickens me they are in business. Absolutely should be less than one star. read more

Too bad you can't give 0 stars. When your site is down and the phone contact says that 'no spaces are available' after you call 3x, that is inconvenient. No way to pay manually (like a ticket box, meter...anything like that) also inconvenient. Getting a ticket was half expected. No response at all when you try and call repeatedly within their posted hours of operation, UNACCEPTABLE! No call back when you request one???? WTF. Seriously guys...get your stuff in order. I had simple questions and no one called me back. I was more than willing to pay for parking but was unable too, now i have a fine to pay and they can put it to collections if I don't...whaaaa!!! BBB here I come. read more

Wow, I thought this company deserved less than 1 star and my case isn't as severe as most others. I parked in the lot behind Taproot Theater in Greenwood. I attempted to use the Pay by Phone feature and my calls to the 888 number would not go through. So I used my QR Reader and the website would allow me to pay for only 1 hour. I attempted many times to pay for more time and got no indication on their site that my attempts were working. At the intermission I again tried the phone number and the website still to no avail. As it turns out, Platinum said I'd paid for two hours but still returned 40 minutes late to a $45 ticket. My dispute was ignored and simply contradicted. If I hadn't had an elderly lady with me, I would have just moved my car but the lot is very close to the theater. I suspect they purposely have a clunky, unhelpful and probably broken system in order to collect revenue from parking tickets. I am going to try to find a list of all the lots in the Seattle area operated by Platinum and be sure I never park in one again. At the least, this episode was terrible customer service. Diamond Parking has wrongly issued me two parking tickets and immediately canceled them when notified. read more

I don't write Yelp reviews but these guys are really awful. A bank parking lot was recently converted to private pay and I had been parking there for years. In a hurry to get to the Taproot theatre, I pulled in an end spot, there was NO sign in front of my car about paid parking although there were other signs throughout the lot, none of which I saw. I took pictures and explained that I had been a theater patron for years and we'd always parked there and I had no idea about the conversion. Had I known I would have paid - why would I want an expensive $45 ticket!!! I pled my case with pictures and light hearted humor about the senility of being over 50 and sent in a check for $10, assuming that would cover the fee. I received a nasty letter in return that was completely out of line. I wrote them the check for $45 and told them to keep the $10 to treat themselves to a beer as they might feel better and be less growly! My goodness. read more

This is a terribly corrupt and greedy company. I received a $65 ticket from Platinum parking which I mailed the day it was due. Although I paid the fine in full I received another letter stating I owned an additional $25 for late payment. My original letter may have been post marked a day late due late processing at the post office but it was paid in full. Repeated calls to the company were met with hostility and insolence. It cost them absolutely nothing to receive the payment a few hours late and they greedily charged $25 more because it's "[their] policy." Now that $25 is in collections hurting my credit score. I refuse to pay these parasites and I question the morality and ethics of anyone working for Platinum Parking. Check out the BBB rating on these slimebags. read more

This is the worst company to exist. I parked in their lot in the university district, paid the posted fee and put my CASH in the corresponding slot for my stall. I came out later to a ticket for non payment. I of course sent in a letter of contestation however paying cash in a drop box I had no receipt or proof of payment. They can just ticket whomever they please saying, oh yep you didn't pay and you can't prove you did so pay up!!! Either their attendant messed up or they stole my payment either way I end up with a ticket for following protocol and paying to park. Lesson learned, never park in a platinum parking lot!!! They will ticket you and not even pretend to take your contestation seriously. read more

I received a parking "notice" while parked in my parking spot in my apartment complex, which I pay for monthly and have used for the past year and a half. I didn't have a parking permit because I was never given one by my apartment office, but it hadn't been a problem for the last 16 months. After receiving the notice, I acquired a permit from my apartment and I disputed this in writing as they (Platinum) asked. I received a letter back saying I still was required to pay the ticket. When I called to get some clarification as to why, whoever answered the phone was hostile, condescending, and then promptly hung up on me. Terrible customer service, very unprofessional. read more
